DESCRIPTION: Hope was surrendered to us as her elderly family could not manage her energy or puppy behaviors. She is a friendly girl, but her enthusiasm when around people causes her to jump on them. For this reason we have her as older children as she would most certainly knock little ones down. A good training program, along with consistent correction by her family should help manage her jumping and also teach her how to walk nicely on a leash. Hope is still very much a pup and needs to learn good canine behavior. She will require lots of walks, playtime and mental stimulation to help burn off her engery. You must have the time and patience along with dedication to training to properly care for and raise a well mannered and well socialized GSD.

TannonDESCRIPTION: Please help us help Tannon and other dogs in need by donating towards his care. A donation, no matter how much, will make not only the difference to Tannon, but will allow us to continue give other dogs a new start at life.

Tannon was found and delivered to a shelter who then turned to MAGSR for help.  Sadly, as you can see by his pictures, Tannon was neglected and appears to have been starving, as he was emaciated, and only weighed 47 lbs upon his arrival - he should weigh closer to 80-85 lbs.  Tannon is now enjoying the comforts of a home, a comfy bed and lots of premium nutrition.  He is being very well cared for and loved by his foster family and the resident GSDs. With the devotion and kindness of his foster family, Tannon is resilient and will learn that life is full of happiness and joy.  Tannon is crate-trained and is working on his obedience commands with his foster family and he's learning quickly.  Tannon's foster family reports that he is a lovable pup, loves belly rubs and is a complete joy to have around.  Tannon is waiting to meet his fur-ever family that will commit to him for his lifetime.  Please set up an appointment to meet Tannon.

DESCRIPTION: Maiko is your typical young, full of himself adolescent who has had no training or guidance in his life.  He is friendly and playful, but does not know his boundaries.  He is a work in progress, our volunteers are working with him on his manners.  This work will need to be continued by his adopters.  Training is a must, along with structure and the guidance he so craves.  He is energetic, so lots of exercise both physically and mentally are a must.  Please be sure that you have the time, energy and committment that Maiko requires.

UPDATE:Maiko is doing great in his foster home and he aims to please. He is working on his manners and training commands because this sweet pup needs structure to solidify his boundaries. He corrects easily and is ready and willing to learn from his handler and then play with other pups. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Maiko has a lot of energy, but also just wants to be loved by his handler and sometimes thinks he is a lap dog. Maiko is excited to meet his furever family so he can start training and bonding with them.

Potential Size: 70 lbs
House Broken: Yes
Obedience Trained: Working on it
Living With: Foster
History: Shelter

Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: No
Other Dogs OK: Yes

CameraClick here for more picture

DESCRIPTION: Aubri, Bayli, Capri & Demi were breeding dogs, once their breeder had no use for them they were dumped at a shelter.  Well their breeding days are over and it is time for them to know unconditional love and happiness.

All 4 of the girls are so sweet, just looking to be loved and cared for, in return they will give unconditional love to their people.  Walking on a leash is new to them, but they are catching on quickly.  They have so much to learn and experience, could your family help them with that?  Ask to meet Capri to see if she is a good fit for your family.

UPDATE: Due to years of the endless breeding that Capri was subjected to, she developed a mammary mass and had it removed 8/17 - it was sent out for biopsy and came back with no evidence of malignant cells. Capri is in the clear and finally able to celebrate this new found freedom she is enjoying in a foster home. She has proven to be quite the lovely lady. Upon first meeting you, she will shower you with kisses. She is very affectionate and follows her foster mom everywhere. She is a great travel companion and is already housebroken and crate trained. She knows some basic obedience commands and has learned to walk on the leash like the good girl she strives to be. Even at 4 years old, Capri is still pretty energetic and spunky but she is also very good at just hanging out and cuddling. She is great with children and loves to run around yard sniffing new smells. Because Capri was a breeder dog, she was probably never given toys to play with or balls to chase so toys are foreign to her and she does not yet know how to play with them. But she does know her way around a marrow bone and will spend hours working to get all the marrow from the middle. Capri seems to lack some confidence around some dogs but does well if properly introduced and given some time to warm up. She would make an excellent dog to someone looking for the ultimate cuddle partner. Please ask to meet Capri today!

Toby
Camera Click here for more pictures

DESCRIPTION: Toby is an 11 month old neutered male GSD, who was spotted as "free" on Craig's list until one of MAGSR's guardian angels was able to snap him up.  Toby's family sadly didn't spend any time with Toby nor train him, he's under-socialized but is a quick learner and wants to please.  Toby is very sweet, smart and alert, but a little leery because he was neglected in the past, but he wants to bond and needs someone to love and train him.  Toby has a lot to learn about being a good canine citizen.  Please remember that puppies are a ten to twelve year commitment, and will whine, have accidents and chew on inappropriate things.  With time, patience and guidance, Toby will become even more of an amazing dog than he already is.  Please inquire today if Toby sounds like a good match for your family.

LEELA  Adopted

Adopted 11/29/15!

Sex: Female
Breed: GSD
Age: 2 years old
Color: Black
Current Size: 54.9 lbs
Potential Size:
House Broken: Yes
Obedience Trained: Working on it
Living With: Foster
History: Stray to Shelter

Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown
Other Dogs OK: Yes

Camera Click here for more pictures

DESCRIPTION: Leela came to MAGSR very scared, extremely underweight, with one eye. Upon her arrival and vet visit, she was diagnosed with mange. It was evident that this poor girl has had a hard life and was not properly cared for. Poor Leela also had infected calluses on her elbows, stomach, and hips. Leela is now receiving the medical care she needs to treat mange and her other medical issues, and is already starting to show signs of improvement and has a healthy appetite to gain weight. She is such a sweetheart and did not deserve to be neglected this way. She is very gentle and loves to cuddle with her people. She loves to chew bones and chase the ball. Please ask to meet Leela and give her the home and family this sweet pup so deserves.

UPDATE: Leela is fully recovered from her mange and skin infection. She has shown great improvement since her treatments, she has gotten to a healthy weight and her fur has grown back. Leela is showing great improvement with her housebreaking and really responds to positive reinforcement, and has learned to trust her foster family and has really built up her confidence level. Leela can't wait to meet her fur-ever family and would love a home with people who can help her maintain and build her confidence further. She loves treats and is trying very hard to remember her commands, she is very proud of herself when she gets them right. Leela loves playing with other dogs but knows how to entertain herself with toys and bones. Leela has also been interacting with the cats that hangout in the vet's waiting room and is curious but kind to them - she also got to meet some kids in the waiting room who really liked her, she let them pet her and she gave them kisses.  The key with Leela is to reassure her when she is doing the right thing, and once she knows she is on the right track, she feels more secure in what she is doing.  Leela is still working on meeting new adult men, she needs reassurance and a slow approach. This is why confidence building is the key with her, she always looks to us for reassurance but we think she is making good progress.  Leela loves to run and play, she has great energy. Leela also loves to cuddle and watch TV, and sometimes she looks like she is really watching it with you.  Ask to meet sweet Leela!

DESCRIPTION: Chevy along with his siblings Jordan and Charlie are the pups of a purebred white female GSD and dad is a white GSD/Lab mix. Both parents are very friendly. Sadly these pups have been living in a barn so they are not use to the normal day to day sights and sounds. While they are frightened when experiencing new things, they remain very sweet, they just look for reassurance from their people. Yes they have a lot to learn and they need to become comfortable with their surroundings, but being in a home with guidance and love will help them tremendously. Training of course will help them build their confidence and teach them to be good canine citizens.

Please remember that puppies are a lot of work, they need a lot of attention and a watchful eye. They will get into things, chew things and have accidents in the house, so please be sure that you have the time and patience and are able to make a commitment for the next 12-14 years.

BLAKE Adopted

Adopted 11/21/15!

Sex:Male
Breed:GSD
Age: 3 years old
Color: Black & Tan

Good with Kids: Older only
Good with Cats: No
Other Dogs OK: Yes

Camera Click here for more pictures

DESCRIPTION: Blake is in need of a home with no children or older children because he does not do well with young children and their fast movements and activity level. He adores adults especially women, he does take longer to warm up to men. Once he feels safe with a man he comes out of his shell. Blake needs to learn to trust, have structure and consistency in his life. Training will be beneficial for Blake and his new person as it will help greatly with creating trust and a bond. Please won't you give Blake the chance at life he so deserves!

Update: Blake has been in a foster home for a couple of weeks and has truly started to come out of his shell and blossom into a fun loving vibrant dog. Prior to going into a foster home, Blake completed a basic obedience training program. Blake is extremely smart and training is a great way to continue to build his confidence and trust. Blake is a little shy upon first meeting him but warms up quickly and then after that, he is all tails wags and kisses on the face to his humans. His foster mom reports that he is perfect house guest and is house broken and crate trained. He takes treats gently and craves love and affection. He has found one toy in particular, a squeaky rabbit, that he loves to toss in the air and then jump to catch it. He is an extremely well mannered boy and likes other dogs male or female.  He seems to enjoy the company of another dog and gains confidence from them.  Upon his arrival into his foster home, Blake's foster mom noticed a rather large mass on his left hind/hip region and took him to the vet the following day. A fine needle aspiration was obtained from the mass and the results were consistent with a sarcoma, a form of cancer. Blake has since seen an oncologist and will have the sarcoma removed so a histological assessment and grade of the tumor can give us additional information on how to proceed. Blake's foster mom reports that he was a true "gentledog" throughout all the testing he has had in his short time with her. As we learn more, we will provide updates on Blake's journey.  Please give this handsome boy the 2nd chance he deserves at life, and ask to meet Blake!

DESCRIPTION: Please help us help Jagger and other dogs in need by donating towards his care. A donation, no matter how much will make not only the difference to Jagger, but will allow us to continue give other dogs a new start at life.

Jagger came to us as an owner surrender, his family could not afford to care for him. Sadly, as you can see by his pictures Jagger is in need of a lot of care both physically and emotionally. He is currently under the care of our vets, he has had x-Rays, bloodwork and other tests which are all normal. He will be tested for Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). If he does test positive for EPI this can be very well controlled with proper nutrition and adding enzymes to his food which helps with digestion. More information can be found at this link: http://www.epi4dogs.com along with before and after pictures of dogs that have EPI. We will of course update once we have the results.

Jagger is now enjoying the comforts of a home, a comfy bed and lots of premium nutrition. He is also being very well cared for and loved by his foster mom and the resident GSD. Jagger seems as though as he has lost hope, withdrawn and frightened, but with devotion and kindness of his foster family he will learn that life is full of happiness and joy.

Update: Jagger has been in his foster home for a few weeks and has gained around 6 much needed pounds. Jagger has visited the vet regularly since his arrival and has worked hard to get two hematomas in his one ear healed. As of now, the one hematoma has healed nicely and the vets are working with Jagger on the others.

While Jagger came to MAGSR beat down and almost given up, he's now learning about life and building confidence - Jagger has quickly learned what it is like to be loved and shown affection by his foster mom, who loves him dearly. He also likes his foster sister very much, although sometimes he plays a little rough with her, as she's more of a senior. Jagger's test confirmed EPI, but as mentioned in his story earlier, EPI is easily managed, but does need management - Jagger's foster mom is getting that all under control for Jagger. He's eating well and gaining weight slowly by eating many meals a day.

Jagger just loves to spend time with his foster family and go on hikes and snuggle.

Jagger wanted MAGSR to tell everyone "THANK YOU SO MUCH" for all your kind donations towards his care - MAGSR has told him about each and every one of them and he is very grateful, as are we. Please ask to meet Jagger today - he will steal your heart in a second!

Olivia is a complete doll - she is very sweet, gentle and loves to snuggle. She is very easy to handle on a leash and is a very happy puppy. Olivia is in a foster home learning about boundaries and she lives with another dog, cats and children and they all get along well and she loves to play. Olivia will need training, as every puppy does, but she's smart, so she'll shine while she's learning. If you can offer Olivia her furever home, please ask to meet her...

Update: Hi there! Olivia here, reporting from my foster home. I am loving life with a real family! Some things are still scary—like getting into a car—but I'm gradually realizing that I'm safe now. I love playing with my foster dog sister, Kaia! We wrestle and chase and lick each other's muzzles—I hope I will always have a dog sibling who's ready for some play. The human puppy in this family is awesome—I like how she's cuddly one minute but crazy-playful the next ... like me! My foster family has two young cats and oh boy, they are fascinating! I try to nuzzle them gently, but sometimes I get so excited that I try to play with them, maybe a little too roughly. My foster mom helps me remember to stay calm around the cats—she says I'm learning, which makes me wag. I'm also learning to sit and lie down and I know my name. I like my crate, but I prefer to be in a puppy-proof room with Kaia during the day, where we can look out the front window,  watching people go by and barking at dogs. I haven't had an accident in the house in several days, which makes me very proud! My foster dad says I'm a quick learner—he says I do fine if I'm let outside often enough. My foster mom says I'm a Velcro dog—I'm not sure what that means, but I do love to cuddle with my humans, follow them around, and get belly rubs! I can't wait till I find my very own forever family—I am so ready to go home!  Please ask to meet me!

DESCRIPTION: Rebel is a very sweet boy found running as a stray. He is very gentle and loves attention. He seems to know some commands but would benefit from further training. He is very handsome and would make a wonderful family member.

UPDATE: Rebel's been in his foster home for three weeks now and is getting along well with the resident GSD and a friend's GSD. He is untested for small dogs, cats, and small children. He has a lot of energy and takes two walks a day. He's friendly with passers-by. He is beyond the puppy stage--no housebreaking accidents or chewing stuff. He is a cuddle-bug who craves attention. He loves to sit with his head in your lap. He's learned come, sit, down, and paw, but can be a bit willful. He's also learned to stay out of the kitchen during meal prep, and to go to his designated "place" and sit while being leashed and unleashed. He still pulls on leash and we're working on that.

DESCRIPTION: Bertha and Klum are siblings. Both dogs ended up in a shelter very scared, so much so they needed to be carried inside. They recently arrived and are doing very well and once out they are very friendly and outgoing. Bertha has a little silver on the backs of her legs and as you can see from her picture airplane ears. Both dogs will need formal training but right now they are both loving all the attention they are getting from our volunteers.

UPDATE Bertha (or "B" as her foster parents call her) is an incredibly sweet, incredibly adaptable dog. She is perfectly happy snuggling with her human (or near her human) for hours or playing with her human or her fur-siblings.  B has hung out happily with her humans during TV binge sessions and she has also willingly played with her foster husky to the point of exhausting them both. If siting on the ground, B will run over to give kisses, and then immediately lie down in your lap for attention. She will check in on her humans during naps, give kisses, and then go back to sleep. B is friendly to every person and every dog she has met so far and will wait (excitedly) for others to approach her without barking.  B is crate trained and potty-trained. She has some commands down and is working on several others. Right now, she knows "sit", "down", and "high five" beautifully, though it can take some treats to get her to listen. She also has amazing recall, even if she's in the middle of a rowdy play session or if she's focusing on the deer that run past our backyard. B us still working on "off" (don't beg for food) and working on stopping from jumping on people when she first greets them. She has made a lot of progress with the jumping, and she's picking up the meaning of "off" pretty quick. She also has begun to understand that "crate" is the command that means she needs to go to her crate. Some other words that B knows are "outside, potty, breakfast, food, and dinner".  B is an incredibly gentle dog with immeasurable love for those in her life. She would do well in many different types of home.  Please ask to meet B and see just how wonderful she is.

Gonzo

DESCRIPTION: Little Gonzo was found running as a stray. He is full of puppy energy and will surely need some training. This little guy is happy to be alive and with MAGSR. With what we have seen so far he would enjoy an active home. Our volunteers are working with him and once we learn more about this little guy we will post an update.

UPDATE: Gonzo has been in his foster home for a couple of weeks now & he's now about 7 or 7-1/2 months old.  He's already neutered, microchipped & has been vetted regularly.  Gonzo is housebroken - no accidents in his foster home.  Gonzo is very playful, good w/ other dogs, but probably a no for cats since he has some prey-drive when he sees small wildlife.  He's good with kids, great with adults, both males & females.  As for the very young kids, he may inadvertently push them over in his play.  Gonzo loves his squeaky balls (JW & Cuz balls are a favorite).  His toy drive is nice so he could be trained with either food or toys.  He loves giving hugs to everyone.  He thinks he's a lap dog & will try to sucker his humans into tummy rubs.  Gonzo will also lean into you while you're sitting on the couch for his daily (or nightly) scratching!  Gonzo is quite a happy-go-lucky dog & would make a fine addition to an active home.  Ask to meet Gonzo and let him win you over!

Maggie
Camera Click here for more pictures

DESCRIPTION: Maggie is a very sweet girl that lost her home through no fault of her own. She is currently settling in to her foster home and is doing very nicely there. She’s still a bit shy yet, but meets new people very well, is warming up to the resident dogs, loves to play ball, go for walks, and crates well and is quiet through the night. Miss Maggie is a wonderful dog just waiting for her special people to come along. Please raise your hand if that could be you!

Maggie does have an eye condition known as Pannus (mild case of it) - she will require daily eye drops for the rest of her life. If you are interested in learning more about Maggie's condition or if you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, please contact us.

UPDATE: Miss Maggie is doing very well, and is feeling at home with her foster family.  However Maggie is a sensitive dog, and can still be shy and cautious in new situations and with new people, so we are working to give her opportunities to socialize and build her confidence.  She always warms up once she’s had a chance to get to know you, but she requires patient introductions to new people and animals.  Maggie has a lot drive for small animals, especially if they are fast moving, but she is learning not to act on it when on leash.  She is also a bit of watch dog as many shepherds are, and alarm barks when someone comes on the property, or to the door.   She loves to go out and about with her foster siblings, and has a very sweet if excitable manner about her –squirmy,  squiggly, and squeaky when she’s happy or expecting something good.  Maggie walks on the leash very well, and is making good progress on her basic commands, and is biding her time well as she waits for her special people to come and take her home, and give her the love, care, and training that she needs to truly blossom.  If Maggie is a good fit for your family, please ask to meet her!

DESCRIPTION: Charlie and her brothers, Jordan and Chevy, were an unexpected surprise in their household. As a result, they were surrendered to MAGSR so that we could find these beautiful pups loving forever homes. Living in a foster home, Charlie is learning all the important things a puppy needs to know to become a stable adult. Currently living with both dogs and cats, Charlie has been exceptionally well behaved with all furry creatures. Her easy-going and friendly manner make her an ideal candidate for most homes.

As a puppy, Charlie is a blank slate and is ready to learn. She previously lived outside so the indoors are a new frontier that she seems to be enjoying. She is adjusting very well to her new surroundings but will continue to need support as she learns household rules. Charlie is cuddly and loves to be near her people. She will shower you with kisses and puppy wiggles. Although Charlie is sweet as can be, she still has a lot to learn about being a good canine citizen. Please remember that puppies are a ten to twelve year commitment. Puppies will whine, have accidents, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, and guidance, Charlie will become an amazing dog. Please inquire today if Charlie sounds like a good match for your household.

DESCRIPTION: Jordan and his siblings, Charlie and Chevy, were an unexpected surprise in their household. As a result, they were surrendered to MAGSR so that we could find these beautiful pups loving forever homes. Living in a foster home, Jordan is learning all the important things a puppy needs to know to become a stable adult. Currently living with both dogs and cats, Jordan is very comfortable with the cats and allows them to curl up with him. Under-socialized with dogs outside of his pack, Jordan needs slow, proper introductions with other dogs. When introduced properly, Jordan enjoys the company of other dogs.

As a puppy, Jordan is a blank slate and is ready to learn. In his previous home, he lived outside. As a result, the indoors are a new frontier. Jordan needs a little time to adjust to his surroundings. Stairs, appliances, and the general sounds of a household are new and a little intimidating at this time. However, he is working with his foster family to adjust to his new surroundings. Jordan takes a few seconds to warm up to new people but, once comfortable he loves to lean in for extra love and attention. Although Jordan will keep you smiling with his puppy antics, he still has a lot to learn about being a good canine citizen. Please remember that puppies are a ten to twelve year commitment. Puppies will whine, have accidents, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, and guidance, Jordan will become a good canine citizen. Please inquire today if Jordan sounds like a good match for your household.

DESCRIPTION: Kalua along with her housemate Harley were surrendered to us as their family went through some changes and sadly were not able to continue to care for them. Kalua is a beautiful, friendly lovely lady. If you are looking for a calmer more laid back dog then Kalua is your girl. As with any dog and per our adoption contract you are required to take Kalua to training. Training is very important as it not only helps teach manners and build confidence, it also helps to create a bond with the new family. Kalua would love to have the comforts of a home once again, please ask to meet her.

UPDATE: Sadly, Kalua was lost and confused in the kennel awaiting her new family. Even though Harley was close by she was not eating and was clearly scared. She was moved to a foster home where she quickly perked up and her true personality was reveled. Kalua is a lovely girl that would fit into any home. Although she is considered a senior she runs and plays like a young pup. She keeps up and even out runs her new foster friends. She loves to play with balls and is usually walking around with one in her mouth. She is living with other GSD's and cats and is very sweet and gentle. She is house trained, does not need to be crated and is very well behaved in a home. If your family is looking for a wonderful companion please ask to meet Kalua today.

Laka

Camera Click here for more pictures

DESCRIPTION: Laka, and her littermate sibling Loki, were found wondering around on their own until they were rescued and made their way to MAGSR. Laka is everything you would expect from a puppy. She is full of tail wags, love, and puppy kisses. Of course, Laka is still a puppy and full of puppy energy, but as sweet as can be. Please think seriously before deciding to adopt a puppy, as Laka's future family will need the time, patience, energy and finances required to provide her with all that is needed for the rest of her life - and a lot of love. Please ask to meet Laka and you won't be disappointed.

UPDATE: Lovely Laka has been enjoying the comfort of a foster home for about two weeks. She has proven to be a sweet and very easy-going puppy and has fallen into her foster family's routine very nicely.  In just two short weeks, she is nearly housebroken and accidents are few & far between.  Laka has quickly and easily won over the other dogs in her foster home and is a complete snuggle bug.  She is working on her basic commands and good manners, and is being rewarded with treats, so she does her best to follow instructions.  Her favorite past time is chasing bugs!  In addition, she's taken a liking to fetching a ball & frisbee, but is just as happy to run and play with her foster siblings!  She eats great, and soon will grow into those big ole ears!  Further training will help her develop into a well adjusted girl. If Laka sounds like she would be a good match for your household, please inquire about her today.

UPDATE: Good evening, friends!  I'm learning some cool stuff here with my foster family!  When my foster brother & I are rough-housing, I've learned to walk with my front paws on his shoulders for quite a distance as he walks backwards!  Another neat thing I've learned, is how the ice maker works.  I hear it, & come running!  Once I sit, I get to eat one!  I'm looking forward to sharing all of the things I'm learning once I'm adopted into my forever family.  Goodnight!

DESCRIPTION: How does a beautiful young girl like Joli end up as a stray with no one coming for her, it is hard to believe.  What we have learned so far about Joli is that she has probably never been on a leash, had no training and given no guidance or direction.  She is a diamond in the rough who will require someone to commit the time and energy, along with training to teach Joli some much needed manners.  She is very friendly, young and a Shepherd so she should catch on very quickly.

DESCRIPTION: Poor sweet Lucas is approximately 10-12 weeks old and was found in a ditch on the side of the road. Lucas was reported to be in very bad shape when found. Skin scrapping shows that Lucas has Demodex mange, a belly full of worms and is missing his front leg to what looks to be a birth defect or some injury during his early days. Sweet Lucas is now in a loving foster home, getting the medical treatments he needs, and the love and care he deserves. Lucas is full of tail wags, smiles and puppy kisses. Although Lucas is very cute and cuddly, he has a lot to learn about being a good canine citizen. Puppies are a ten to twelve year commitment. They will whine, have accidents, and chew on things. Lucas will require time, patience, and guidance so that he can grow up and become a stable adult. If Lucas sounds like a good match for your household please ask to meet him today.

UPDATE: Lucas is a loving, friendly, full of life puppy. It is amazing to watch him run around, chase flying insects, climb up and down the hill and engage in play with big dogs. Only having 3 legs does not slow him down, he will figure out away to get over or around any obstacle in his way. He loves to chase and chew on sticks, gnaw on elk antlers or appropriate hard chew toys, but as with any puppy he will also chew on most anything he can get into his mouth. This is easily corrected by providing him with chew toys. He is still working on his housebreaking, but with a schedule for potty times the accidents are less. Lucas loves everyone he meets and especially seems to adore children. He also enjoys the company of other dogs and engaging them in play. He does very well in his crate, sleeping through the night soundly. His skin is improving and there is some new fur growing in. He will continue his treatment for Demodex mange until it is cleared up. We have added some supplements to help with the process and have started him on a grain free fish based food which will help with his coat and skin. Ask to meet Lucas as we are sure he will steal your heart as he has ours.

DESCRIPTION: Cressida is an approx. 11 month old female.  Doll baby would be an understatement, she can be a silly at times and is great with other dogs and loves people.  She is crate trained, stable minded, sweet girl that showed up as a stray to the shelter, and no one came to claim her, we don't get that either. No cats for her, she was just a bit too obnoxious to make Micki the cat feel comfortable with her.

Alpha

DESCRIPTION: Alpha found himself at the shelter after his former person passed away. He is a big boy but does need to lose around 15 lbs. When he arrived in our care his long coat had not been well cared for, it was matted and quite smelly. His foster mom immediately gave him a much needed bath and started working on de matting him. It is still an ongoing process but he already looks so much better and smells better also. He took it all in stride. He has a laid back country boy way about him, a very sweet disposition. He is quiet and relaxed in the house and good with other dogs. Ask to meet this big handsome boy, you won't be disappointed.

DESCRIPTION: Loki and his littermate, Laka, found themselves wandering around without food or shelter. All alone without anyone to care for them must have been scary for these puppies. Fortunately, they wandered into the yard of someone who called for help. This call turned everything around for these two babies who now get to enjoy the comfort and safety of a home.

Loki is a confident and affectionate boy. He is curious about everything and is under the impression that all people are just around to play with him. He greets newcomers with tail wags, smiles, and puppy kisses. Loki is currently living with other dogs and cats. This will help him refine his doggy manners with furry friends.

Although Loki is cute and cuddly, he has a lot to learn about being a good canine citizen. Puppies are a ten to twelve year commitment. They will whine, have accidents, and chew on things. Loki will require time, patience, and guidance so that he can grow up and become a stable adult. If Loki sounds like a good match for your household please ask to meet him today.

DESCRIPTION: When Nikko's daddy deployed, an extended family member stepped-up to take over his care. Although he clearly loved Nikko, this family member realized that he could not provide him with the daily care and exercise a shepherd needs. In order to provide Nikko with the life he so clearly deserves, the difficult decision was made to surrender Nikko to MAGSR.

In his previous home, Nikko lived with small dogs, cats and young children. He was given opportunities to learn some basic commands and was well socialized. As a mature shepherd, Nikko has had the chance to move beyond some of the less desirable behaviors a young dog may portray. He is housebroken and crate trained. Although Nikko is clearly a special guy, he will, like all other dogs, need the opportunity to participate in training in order to refine his skills. If this handsome gentleman sounds like he would be a good match for your household, please inquire about him today.
