History: Urika was adopted from a breeder when she was four years old. She was used for breeding other GSDs to be employed as working dogs. She has no working dog experience or training. She was put up for adoption as she was observed to be in silent heat. She was then adopted into a home as a single dog to a husband and wife with visiting grand children. The husband had recently passed away and the wife currently lives with her daughter's family, who also have dogs and cats. Urika is very aggressive toward other dogs and will chase the cats. Urika is gated into a smaller portion of the home which is not ideal for her.

Description

Urika is a beautiful dog. Since being adopted by her current owner she has been spayed, house trained, walks on a leash, but has a high prey drive for smaller animals. She can play fetch up to the point of bringing a ball back to you but does not always let go.

She responds decent to direction, but will need clear and consistent boundaries to help her mature into her full potential. An active home with a yard would be best with older kids or teenagers (We have not seen her around toddlers). She will be aggressive towards other dogs and cats if they are near her.

Urika will be adopted ONLY to a family with no other animals or has prior experience with German Shepherds that can dedicate the time needed to socialize her.
