Description

Khaleesi came to us as her prior person is being stationed out of the country and could not take her along.  Wanting only the best for Khaleesi she was surrendered to us to find her a loving family.  Khaleesi has lived with another male GSD and got along fine.  She is reported to be very friendly with people.  As she is new to us we are still learning more about her, please check back for updates.

Updates

Khaleesi is doing very well in her foster home. While examined by one of MAGSR's wonderful veterinarians, they reported that she was painful in her end, and after preliminary radiographs have diagnosed her with hip dysplasia, so Khaleesi is currently on a medical hold until she can be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon. Check back on Khaleesi's profile for more information on her status as information comes available.

As you can see from the photos of her lounging around, Khaleesi is settling into her foster home nicely and proving to be a very sweet girl. She does not yet understand social distancing and insists on greeting every visitor with a pair of big brown eyes and a kiss. Khaleesi does occasionally try to tell her smaller (30lb) cousin she's the boss, however, so she might be best in a home with larger dogs (with whom she gets along with quite well). She likes giving toys and occasional chew, but has been very good with knowing what's a toy and what's a shoe and while you can tell she's excited by dinner time she's always a perfect lady by having a seat before she's served.

Leesi Lou has been cleared by an orthopedic specialist and her hip issues pose her no current problems and surgery is not needed. She has been a fantastic pup through her travels and vetting: chilling out in the car, behaving like a perfect lady with the techs and seeming unphased by the whole thing. Leesi has also settled into her foster home even more and has gotten into a good routine with her cousins and surroundings.
