Adopted MAGSR Dogs

Karma was surrendered because her humans could no longer take care of her. As is true of all puppies, Karma is sweet, cute and cuddly. Karma will require a lot of attention, time, and patience from her new family. She has a lot to learn and will need leadership and guidance in order to become a good canine citizen. She will get into things, chew on inappropriate things, have accidents, whine, and want lots of attention and love. Karma will need proper food and vet care for the rest of her life. In return, she will smother you in puppy kisses and cuddles while entertaining you with her puppy antics. Sweet Roger landed in a shelter after being found as a stray. He is underweight, but with good nutrition, a bath, lots of love and the comforts of a home he will be tiptop in no time. Roger is a gentle soul, easy going and friendly. Ask to meet this sweet boy.

Julia came from a shelter, she was not in the best of shape. She had a large hematoma in her ear along with an ear infection. We had the hematoma surgically removed and she is recovering well. She is a very calm and laid back girl, she would make a great family member for someone who is not looking for a high energy dog. Julia would be happy to be sitting by your side, hanging out and being loved on.

Lissy was surrendered because her humans could no longer take care of her. As is true of all puppies, Lissy is sweet, cute and cuddly. Forrest cannot be any cuter and is absolutely a great little boy, happy go lucky and loves to give puppy kisses.  Forrest has a lot to learn about being a good canine citizen and will require training.  Please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family - puppies are a 10-12 year commitment.  Puppies are full of energy and can be mischievous – they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things.  With time, patience, guidance and training, Forrest will become even more of an amazing boy than he already is.  Please inquire if Forrest sounds like a good match for your family.

Meet Stefi one of our new girls looking for her forever family and home.  Walks, playtime, socializing and love will make Stefi a happy pup.  Training of course will help her and her new family learn more about each other.

Sheba is what we lovingly call a pocket Shepherd due to her smaller size.  Don't let her size deter you though as she has many of the wonderful qualities of a full size GSD, just in a smaller package.  Sheba is confused with the changes in her life, we are giving her time to settle in and get to know her better.

Ziggy is a very handsome black GSD.  He is friendly with other dogs and people, he has lived with children in the past ages between 4-14 years old.  He is housebroken and crate trained.  Ziggy has no leash manners and will jump and pull on the leash, he was not leashed walk much in his previous home, so training will go a long way.  Ask to meet this big handsome boy.

A neighbor found Sam tied to a tree after his family moved away and left him. Thankfully this good samaritan found him, had him seen by a vet then reached out to us to find Sam the home and family he deserves. Sam is somewhat skittish and needs a little time to be comfortable when meeting new people. Once he trusts you he becomes relaxed, enjoying walks and playtime. He will of course need his family to commit to training with him, this will help Sam become more socialized, build his confidence, learn all that he needs to know and of course create a strong bond with his family. Sam needs some work so please be sure you are able to devote the time that is required to help Sam move forward.

Tobey is a high energy and enthusiastic boy and just loves to run and run. Tobey has pretty good leash manners, crates very well, loves to run along with his handler and just loves the resident dogs in his foster home. Tobey is trusting of dogs but cautious around new people and in new situations. Tobey needs a patient handler to help him build a little confidence in his handsome self. Tela came to us after she was abandoned by her family.  She has been cared for by a family member who was not in a position to keep her long term.  In her past home she lived with cats, she also has lived with other dogs and has been around children.  While living with her temporary caregiver it was noted that she loves car rides, is housebroken, she knows some basic commands and was walked on a leash.  Tela's energy level is medium.

Meet the adorable Kenya.  He is a friendly boy but a little unsure as to why he lost his family and home.  He lived with Glacier in his previous home, they got along well.  We do not have any experience or knowledge of him with children and cats at this time.  The comfort of a home and a loving family is just what Kenya needs, could you be his new family?

Emma is a young female German Shepherd mix who came to us from a high-kill shelter. She is approximately 9 months old. Emma is beyond great with kids and loves the water. She would be in heaven swimming in a lake or wading in the ocean. She is exceptionally smart and learns commands quickly. Emma loves people and really is an overall happy dog with a sweet and playful personality. She was introduced to cats while on leash and did fine, but off leash she will chase.

Chloe is a sweet loving girl looking for a family of her very own.  She enjoys car rides, walks well on a leash, enjoys playtime and being with her family.  She is crate trained to sleep in her crate at night but does not like being crated when left home alone.  She has been to doggy daycare and enjoyed swimming and hanging out with her fur friends.  For the most part she is housebroken, but does have an occasional accident.  With a regular schedule this can be corrected.  At only a year old she has lots to learn and energy to burn.  Please be sure you are up to the time and commitment it takes to raise a well balanced GSD.

Sherlock initially came to MAGSR, due to his owner’s health, from a home with other Shepherds and got along well with them. Over the last 18 months, Sherlock has been in a home without other dogs and has not interacted with other dogs, so it is unknown if he is still good with other dogs. Sherlock has a high prey drive and will chase rabbits and squirrels. Sherlock is friendly with the humans that he meets and is very active with a ton of energy, much more than expected for his age. Sherlock enjoys playing catch and swimming. Sherlock needs training, a strong handler (he’s a strong boy), and a strict regimen.

Over the last several months, MAGSR has treated Sherlock for a perianal fistula, of which treatment is coming to a close. Also, over the last several months, Sherlock has been receiving weekly laser treatments on his hips for severe arthritis. His arthritis has not slowed this boy down at all, but the laser treatments have helped him to be more comfortable so he can continue to play. Continuing future laser treatments, while they may be bi-weekly or only monthly, will be key in providing Sherlock continued relief from his arthritis and comfort going forward.

Mac along with BFF Donovan are looking for a new family and home. They are hoping that a family has room and enough love for both of them as they are very bonded. They are both very nice boys but somewhat confused as to why they are with us and not with their family. They lived with cats and got along fine.  Bailey came to us from shelter where she had been surrendered due to a family members allergies.  It was reported that she lived with children and gets along with other dogs.  She is housebroken and crate trained.  While she does enjoy being petted and loved on, she prefers that you do not touch her feet.  She is a sweet, loving and energetic girl who would love to be in a home with her forever family.

Donovan along with his BFF Mac are looking for a new family and home. They are hoping that a family has room and enough love for both of them as they are very bonded. They are both very nice boys but somewhat confused as to why they are with us and not with their family. They lived with cats and got along fine. Max is a handsome boy who is very intelligent but it is evident he was not treated well in his previous situation.  He is very shy and lacks confidence but has shown that he is very friendly with other dogs and they help him gain confidence.  He is great with dogs of all sizes and he is even good with cats.  He is shy especially with men but warms up slowly.  He would do best in a home with older children as younger children's unpredictable movements startled him.  Max is house broken and crate trained.  Training will go a long way to benefit Max and help him build the bond with his people and gain confidence he lacks.  He is a very sweet boy looking for someone to show him that not all people are bad.  Once he bonds with you, he will be your forever best friend.  Could Max be the dog for you?

Mika was surrendered to an emergency vet when it was discovered that he had come down with Parvo, a highly contagious viral disease and potentially life threatening. Parvo is an expensive virus that can be avoided if properly vaccinated.  Mika is fighting for his life and currently receiving 24/7 medical care at an emergency vet where he will receive the best possible care.  Should Mika survive this difficult virus, he will be able to move on and enjoy being a puppy.  As is true of all puppies, Mika is cute and cuddly; he will require a lot of attention, time, and patience from his new family. He has a lot to learn and will need leadership and guidance in order to become a good canine citizen. Dino was surrendered as he was not adapting well to his family's new busy schedule. He lived with children and gets along well with other dogs. He has never been exposed to cats. According to his former family he is crate trained and housebroken. They feel he would do best in a home where his family is not gone for extended periods of time as he can become anxious when left home alone for too long. Dino is a very nice boy who loves to be with his people.

Nadina was dumped at a shelter after the breeders decided they were done breeding her. Well her breeding days are over, she is now ready to enjoy a life where she is cherished and loved. She is a pleasant and joyful girl who enjoys the company of other dogs, but prefers not to share her home with cats. Ask to meet this lovely lady to see if Nadina is the right fit for your family.

Elsa was found in the woods with a collar on that was much too small. She happily and eagerly went home with the person who found her. Every attempt was made to find her person but no one came looking for her. She is a young girl that is in need of guidance, boundaries, training, love and affection. Please give her a chance to show you that she deserves your time, patience and love.

Honey was surrendered with her mom because her human could no longer take care of them. As is true of all puppies, Honey is sweet, cute and cuddly. Olga was living her life in a yard with no shelter, food or water. The day she was confiscated it was 27 degrees, her body temperature was low and she was very emaciated weighing only 37 lbs. The shelter workers took very good care of her while she waited to make her way into rescue. Olga now weighs 55 lbs and could use just a few more lbs. So far what we have learned about her is that she is friendly and seems quite happy. She is ready to start her life anew...could that be with your family?

Tye once had a family of his own we he peacefully lived with children, dogs and cats.  When his family moved Tye was not included, so he found himself at a shelter.  Tye would love to once again have the comforts of a home and the love of a forever family.

Olaf made his way to MAGSR after he was saved from being very neglected and starved.  Olaf was very under weight and while he has put some weight on before coming to us, he still needs to gain some more.  This poor soul is a little scared but warms up quickly.  Olaf is now enjoying the comforts of a home and a comfy bed and lots of premium nutrition. He is also being very well cared for and loved by his foster mom. With devotion and kindness of his foster family, Olaf will learn that life is full of happiness and joy.  If Olaf sounds like a good match for your family, please ask to meet him.

Meet the adorable Bindi, she is a sweet Shepherd Mix who is looking for a new home and family. She is still a puppy at the age of 10 months and will need a family with time and patience as she learns all that she needs to know.

Reuger is a young, handsome boy who has been through basic obedience training.  It is imperative that he continues training with his new family.  Reuger is not good with small dogs and will not be placed in a home with small dogs.  In his previous home he had escaped the home through an opened door and an electric fence going after small dogs in the neighborhood.  He did live with a cat, getting along fine as long as the cat did not run around.  He also lived with a female GSD and was fine with her.  Reuger does play rough with other dogs, so another dog in the home must be playful and accepting of rough housing.  Reuger also has the tendency to get mouthy with people when he is overly excited.  Training, structure and direction can help with these behaviors.  Reuger will do best with experienced GSD people, who have the time and knowledge to work with him. 

Jedi was surrendered as his person could no longer care for him.  Jedi was loved very much.  He is a mellow boy, enjoys going for walks and spending time with his people.  He enjoyed being brushed by our volunteer and being loved on.  Jedi would benefit greatly from being back in a home with a family of his very own.  Ask to meet this handsome boy.

Zaine is a great young boy.  He loves to be close to his people and will lean in for petting.  He has a sweet disposition.  He would love to have a family to share his life with....could that be you?

Camden is a young, exuberant pup who is in need of direction and training.  It is obvious no one has ever taken the time to teach him good canine manners.  That can all be done with a good training program and guidance from his family.  He still has lots of puppy behaviors and energy to burn.   As with any puppy patience will be needed as he learns all that he needs to know
