Description

Pups don't get much sweeter than Miss Candy. This lovely little girl was surrendered to a shelter in the south where she tested positive for parvo. Fortunately, the right people got involved and Candy received the lifesaving care she needed to survive. While recuperating at the vet in the south, it was noticed that Candy has some vision loss. She is able to see some items directly in front of her; however, her periphery vision is impaired. It is thought that this may have been a side effect of parvo. Knowing that this special girl would be most successful if she found rescue placement, a plea went out for her. When we heard about her situation, the MAGSR team stepped into gear and began making plans to welcome her to the family.

Candy is friendly, affectionate, and playful. A happy girl, Candy is well socialized with people and other dogs. She keeps everyone around her smiling with her puppy antics. Living with a foster family, Candy is learning the ins and outs of living in a home. She is excited to be with her people and is adventurous and curious. As is true of all GSD puppies, Candy will thrive in a home that provides her with structure, routine, and leadership. She is also hoping that her forever family enjoys toys, puppy kisses, and plenty of adventures outside. Training will go a long way with this little lady. Not only will it help her develop a strong and healthy bond with her forever family, but it will also help her develop into a stable and confident adult dog. Although Candy is an absolute lovebug, please remember that puppies require a lot of attention and support. They will whine, chew, have accidents, and fill your home with endless puppy antics. With time, patience, and training, Candy will develop into a good canine citizen. If your family is ready to welcome this little love into your home, ask to meet her today.
