Celebrate Mount Airy

 The Town’s annual block party is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 along Downtown Main Street. The free event aims to bring community members and groups, non profits and brick and mortar businesses together to celebrate and learn more about each other. Live music, local artists, vendors, a kids’ zone, food, a car show and much more will be a part of the festivities. Don't miss out on this fun annual tradition!

Join us at the Weekly Mount Airy Farmer's Market for local crafts, produce, baked goods, and dogs! This is a well attended event and we'll have rescue merchandise, crafts, and any adoptable dogs that are available to come out. If the weather is unsafe for the pups, we will not attend. Lone Oak Brewery Rescue Event

Lone Oak Brewery has Wednesday September 9th set aside to fundraise for our rescue. We will be with a few other charities in sharing a percentage of the sales for the night. Please set your reminders for this event and come out to toast the rescue and a great local brewery! All you have to do is show up and have a few beverages and the rescue benefits. Easy peasy! Hope to see you there!

Paws in the Park

On September 12th, House of Hope is hosting a special event to celebrate and support rescue dogs. There will be handmade goods, treats, crafts, décor, and plenty of rescues and information on how you can help. This is a full day celebration of hope and love and the kindness of others. Join us Sept 12 at North East Community Park!

The Green K9

Come out to the Green K9 in Urbana to meet some adoptable dogs and experience the unique pet boutique and all its amenities. The Green K9 loves rescues and has programs for recent adopters. Make sure to come out and speak with the volunteers and staff of the Green K9 and learn more about us!

Woofstock

Woofstock is back and bigger than ever! Join the Humane Society of Carroll County on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Wakefield Valley Event Center & Park in Westminster, MD for a full day of fun, food, entertainment, and community — all in support of our lifesaving mission.Bring your dogs and enjoy all the outdoor activities, including a  pet-friendly 5K at 9:00 a.m. and a Family Fun Run/Walk at 10:30 a.m.Throughout the day, experience live music, delicious food trucks, local vendors, pet demonstrations, a cornhole tournament, Weiner Dog Races, Puppy Yoga, Petting Zoo, Car Show, exciting raffles, giveaways & more. Visit with area rescues and meet adoptable animals.Suggested admission is $10 per car by donation. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Carroll County and help support the animals in our care.
