Description

Adorable Cressida was picked up as a stray and brought to a local shelter with another young female GSD - Cordelia. The two girls waited patiently for families to come and claim them. However, after waiting for a month, when no one stepped forward, shelter staff began working with the girls to find amazing forever families. Although they began teaching the girls basic commands and even began working with a local trainer, GSDs often struggle in the shelter environment as they require a more stable, calm, and predictable environment. Recognizing that Cressida and Cordelia would be more successful within a breed-specific rescue, both girls were transferred into MAGSR's care. Our team made sure that both girls settled into loving foster homes where they would have everything they needed to meet with success.

Cressida is young, energetic, and very intelligent. Excited to meet new people and eager to please, this lovely girl has a nice balanced personality. Although Cressida clearly has had a couple of hiccups along her journey so far, it is highly evident that someone has spent time teaching her to socialize with new people and other animals. Having a strong foundation is important; however, it is critical that her forever family continue this process with regular, controlled socialization with new people and in varied environments. Training will also go a long way with Cressida. Not only will training help Cressida build a strong, healthy bond with her forever family, but it will also help her develop the skills needed to become a good canine citizen. We do not know much about Cressida's past but, we do know she is already housebroken and crate trained. Cressida will thrive with patience, structure, and routine. With time and leadership we know this lovely girl will succeed.

Cressida is a young pup full of potential. If she sounds like the perfect companion for your household, ask to meet her today!
