Description
The Hunger Games puppies - Peeta, Katniss, Thresh, Rue, Gale, and Finnick - were an accidental litter in the south. Although they were well-cared for as babies, as they grew, they became too much for their family. Recognizing that they were unable to provide a large number of babies with what they needed, their family surrendered them to a shelter. Unfortunately, with the overwhelming number of dogs needing placements in shelters right now, owner surrenders are the first dogs to be euthanized. The minute these babies entered the building they were in danger. Trying to do everything they could to keep this group alive, shelter staff began pleading for rescue help. When we heard about their plight, our team knew we needed to welcome the Hunger Games family to MAGSR.
Gale is an active and loving boy. He is thrilled to interact with his people and loves a good snuggle. As an active young pup, Gale is looking for a family that can give him the time, attention, and training that will help him meet with success. Still a very young dog, it is essential that Gale continue to socialize regularly. This will help him develop a stable and confident personality. Although Gale is an absolute love bug, please remember that puppies are a lot of work. They will whine, chew, have accidents, and fill your home with puppy antics. With time, patience, training and socialization, Gale will develop into the good canine citizen that we know he is destined to be. If this little darling sounds like the right match for your household, ask to meet him today.
Updates
Gale's foster has nothing but good things to say about him. He’s doing good. His leash manners are quite impressive. The sit command is mastered. He also waits pretty good. Crate is not an issue, he goes in sometimes on his own. Working on leaving him in the crate when he can’t see me. A little drama with that but we will keep at it. He’s also eating well!
