Zappa and his buddy, Zara, were dumped by a pet store in the south. Although it was evident that both dogs were sweet, they needed immediate help if they were going to survive. Fortunately, another rescue stepped forward to get the pups off the street and into safe homes while shelters were contacted and a stray hold began. Although they worked with local groups to try to find Zappa and Zara a safe place to go, with overcrowding at unprecedented numbers, once again these babies needed someone to step in. When asked if MAGSR could help both Zappa and Zara move forward safely, our team immediately began working to put a plan in place in order to welcome them to the family. 

Although they have been abandoned, left to survive on their own, and treated cruelly by some people in the neighborhood where they were dumped, both Zappa and Zara remain sweet pups. They enjoy the company of their people and other animals. Having had the luck of living in foster homes while waiting to move up to MAGSR, these babies have already begun to learn the ins and outs of living in a home. However, as is true of all new dogs, they will need some time to adjust to the routines and expectations of their forever families. In order to provide Zappa and Zara with a solid foundation, it is critical that their families begin training. Training will not only help these babies develop a strong and healthy bond with their forever families, but it will also help them grow into stable and confident adults. 

Although Zappa and Zara are absolutely adorable, please remember that puppies are a lot of work. They will whine, chew, have accidents, and fill your home with endless puppy antics.
