I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help. Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Feeling that they couldn't provide Eli with the kind of life he deserved, Eli's family made the difficult decision to surrendered him to MAGSR. Eli is a sweet and energetic boy who is looking for a home that can provide him with the love, training, and daily exercise a young dog needs. Already housebroken and knowing a few commands, Eli is already on his way to becoming a good canine citizen. However, he will need patience, guidance, and leadership in order to reach his full potential. Currently, Eli is living with both cats and dogs. He gets along well with all of his furry siblings. Although Eli gets along well with furry friends, he lacks confidence when meeting new people. It is important that when saying hello, Eli is provided with additional time and patience so that he can slowly adjust to new people and movements. Eli would be best placed in a home without children as he needs to develop the confidence needed to meet with success. Although Eli is in many ways a work in progress, we know he will be a great addition to the right family. If Eli sounds like a good match for your household, please ask to meet him.

Hank came to us from a shelter where he was a stray. He is a big handsome boy who is looking for a new family who will commit to him for his lifetime. Training, as with all dogs, will go along way in helping Hank and his new family learn more about each other, along with teaching him to be a good canine citizen. He is new to us so we are still learning more about him, but so far he has been friendly with everyone he has met.

Kylie is a beautiful,very high-energy girl. Kylie can be mouthy when playing and will need some training, but she is precious and has a ton of potential. Kylie is no couch potato and will require daily physical and mental exercise to keep her energy in check. Her ball is her favorite thing, up for hours of fetch? Kylie is. If you feel you can commit to Kylie and give her the training she needs, and feel she may be a good fit in your family, please ask to meet her.

Trace was a stray so we really have no information on his past life before he meet a family and kept visiting them because they were feeding him. The family was able to bring him in and then surrender him to rescue. Trace is young and estimated at approximately 1 years old. Trace is gorgeous, sweet and a bit shy, but is happy to see you by the wag of his tail. Please inquire if Trace sounds like a good match for your family.
Updates:Trace is a beautiful Long Hair Shepherd. He is settling in well in his foster home and is enjoying his new furry friends. Trace is living with other dogs and cats and fits in nicely. He loves the cats and doesn't understand why they won't play with him. He is very gentle with them but he does want them to play and will bark if they don't interact with him. Trace is your typical goofy playful puppy. He is very sweet and loves attention. He is a big boy and is under weight at 76 lbs. Once he fills out an ideal weight for him would be around 85 lbs. Trace is house trained and will kick the door when he needs or wants to go outside. He enjoys playing and chasing the other dogs. Trace is crate trained and very well behaved in the house for being such a young boy. He doesn't know any boundaries and finds beds and couches very comfortable. Although he has not had any training he is learning. Trace is a wonderful boy that deserves a wonderful family. If you can provide a loving home for Trace, please ask to meet him today

Axel ended up in a shelter so we really have no info on his past life. He is estimated to be between 5-6 yrs old. He is a big boy at 82 lbs. He has been very sweet and mellow since arriving in our care. He does have some leash manners, but training will go along way to help him bond with his new person and to learn all that he needs to know.

Max is a handsome boy who is very intelligent but it is evident he was not treated well in his previous situation. He is very shy and lacks confidence but has shown that he is very friendly with other dogs and they help him gain confidence. He is great with dogs of all sizes and he is even good with cats. He is shy especially with men but warms up slowly. He would do best in a home with older children as younger children's unpredictable movements startled him. Max is house broken and crate trained. Training will go a long way to benefit Max and help him build the bond with his people and gain confidence he lacks. He is a very sweet boy looking for someone to show him that not all people are bad. Once he bonds with you, he will be your forever best friend. Could Max be the dog for you?

Sweet Lena has not had the easiest life or best of care until she arrived into rescue. She enjoys quieter surroundings, spending time with her people. She is good with children, but older quieter children would best be suited for her. If you are looking for a best friend, a girl who wants to please and enjoys being by your side, being petted and cuddled then ask to meet the lovely Lena.
Updates:Lena has settled into her foster home very nicely. She is probably the sweetest foster her foster mom has ever had, and is an absolute pleasure to have around. She loves everyone she meets, and regularly greets strangers and friends with a tail wag and kisses. She is incredibly affectionate, low key and no trouble whatsoever. Lena is completely housebroken, walks very nicely on a leash, enjoys exploring, and is well-behaved in and out of her crate (she is crate trained too) - she's the perfect house guest. At 5 years old, Lena has moved beyond her puppy ways, and would be a perfect fit for a person who isn't looking for a high-energy dog, but rather a dog who will shower them with love everyday, just for being there with her. Updates:I'm an adorable, loving, puppy looking for a forever home. I love to play and chew on squeaky toys, and love to play tug-of-war. The other dogs at my foster home are my best friends, and running around the yard with them is my favorite thing to do. I'm a smart girl and will listen to commands easily. My foster Mom says I pick up on things pretty quickly. I'm still a little timid and unsure of myself at times, but I'm very adaptable. I'm still a puppy, so I need patience and attention while I still learn to go to the bathroom outside, but I'm a quick learner. I really need a warm and friendly forever home, where I can give tons of kisses and lots of snuggles. Please come see me soon.

Beautiful Aria, like many before her, was brought home as a puppy but was dumped in a shelter after her family decided that the puppy they bought was not acting like a puppy anymore. Dogs are a lifetime commitment that require leadership, guidance, and an unending amount of patience. Without proper training and guidance a young, energetic shepherd will find inappropriate outlets for their energy. Aria is a young girl who needs to be provided with both mental and physical stimulation. She bonds quickly with her handlers and wants nothing more than to please her people. Currently, Aria is living with both cats and dogs. She greatly enjoys pack life and seems very comfortable with her foster siblings. Typical of most young shepherds, Aria is playful and goofy but could use some refinement in the manners department. However, she is quick to develop new skills particularly when motivation in the form of toys or food is involved. Although Aria is a delightful girl, she does need extra time and patience when meeting new people. When provided with adjustment time, Aria's sweet nature quickly reveals itself. Rocky is 7 months old. He was surrendered to MAGSR after being hit by a car with his pelvic bone broken through on both sides. Upon arriving to MAGSR, Rocky was immediately seen by a surgeon and operated on with several screws and plates inserted. Rocky is currently receiving around the clock post-op veterinary care. Donations are desperately needed to help cover the cost of Rocky’s surgery and post-surgical medical care, as well as other dogs in need of medical care. Your donations will allow us to continue to provide the medical care needed for other dogs such as Rocky. Please click here and enter “ROCKY” in message section. Updates:X-rays of Rocky’s injury – complete break on both sides. Rocky had a follow-up with the surgeon this past week and had his staples removed, so he's done with the cone of shame. Rocky is doing well in his recovery. Rocky is a very sweet boy and just loves to give kisses! Rocky is still under post-op care of a vet, so donations are desperately needed to help cover the cost of Rocky’s surgery and post-surgical medical care, as well as other dogs saved and in need of medical care. Rocky is still currently not available for adoption (check back in late March 2016), but he sends sloppy kisses to all of his supporters!
Throughout the past couple of months Rocky has been working hard to recover. He has been an incredibly well-behaved pup throughout this process impressing everyone he meets. Rocky's patience has been rewarded and his fractures have healed nicely. Rocky is now ready to slowly begin acting like a puppy again! He will start with short daily walks and over the next month will gain back the muscle and strength needed to go back to acting like a pup again. Although Rocky will have some restrictions for the next month, this happy-go-lucky boy is now ready to find his forever home. Memphis is a sweet shy girl. She is very shy at first but once she warms up she is a wiggle butt!! She would love nothing more than to be by your side. She loves her foster brother and sister dogs, they bring her out of her shell, she would do great in a home with other dogs. She has been great with the children in the home just takes some getting use to. She loves snuggling up with you on the couch just hanging out. She isn't much into toys just likes lots of belly rubs. But she will jump high and run around in circles and sit on command for a treat. She is a loving and adoring dog, who looks like a little teddy bear. Memphis would made a great companion to any household.
Updates:Hi! Memphis here. I have been settling into my foster home for a bit, and I love it here! I call it my safe zone. My foster mom calls me "wiggle butt" all the time because I wiggle my butt when she calls me over to her. I love her dearly and she loves me. I love my foster fur-brother and fur-sister lots, they are fun to play around with - I would love to be in a home with another dog, cause I gain confidence from another dog. See my foster mom says I have “quirks”. I am not quite sure what that means, I just know that I don’t like a whole lot of stuff. Certain things I am unsure of, but when I am comfortable with you I LOVE you! Men kinda scare me but not always because I dig my foster dad - he has gone slow with me and he gives me lots of belly rubs, I like those. I am good with kids too. Cats are cool - they don’t bother me and I don’t chase them. If you think you have the time to go slow with me and let me warm up to you, I will totally wiggle my butt for you.

Maverick found himself in a shelter, where no puppy belongs, because his ears don't stand up and his family didn't want him any longer. Maverick is a very sweet boy, full of life, love and tail wags, and just wants someone to love him for who he is. Young pups can be a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. They will chew things they shouldn't, they may have accidents in the house, they are full of energy and can be mischievous. Training and guidance is an absolute must so that you have a well rounded, friendly adult dog. Please be sure that you have the time and are able to commit to the lifetime of Maverick.
Updates:Maverick's foster family reports he is completely adorable and a very calm puppy. He is crate trained and housebroken, good with the foster family dogs, young and old, and good with the foster family cats. Maverick has a wonderful temperament and loves attention from his people and just wants to be with them for belly rubs.
Lotus

Lotus is an adorable pocket Shepherd mix weighing 45 lbs and shouldn't get much bigger than 50 lbs. She is a friendly girl and does well with other dogs. Lotus would be the ideal the dog for a family looking for a smaller size girl with the looks of GSD. Ask to meet petite Lotus.
Updates:Lotus tested heartworm positive and will be undergoing heartworm treatment. Please donate towards her medical expenses, any amount is greatly appreciated to help replenish our medical fund. By helping Lotus with your donations, it will allow us to continue to save more dogs who require medical care. While in a foster home, Lotus proved to be a complete gem. Her foster parents reported she is super sweet tempered and cute as a button - she loves to hug and cuddle, and she is easy to walk and very quiet. Please consider giving Lotus a chance if you're looking for a smaller size lovable pup.

I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help. Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Jager and Millie were strays to a shelter numerous times, reclaimed by owners and then found running loose again. After the owners refused to secure them on the property, they were confiscated. They are a bonded pair and enjoy each others company. We are hoping that a family will have enough room in their hearts and homes for both Jager and Millie. We are learning more about them, but so far they are a delight. Please give these two sweet hearts a chance, because you know two can be better than one and give double the love!
Updates:Jager and Millie have been in a foster home for a few days now and are the perfect house guests. They are house broken and house trained, and they both walk incredibly well on the leash. If you are looking for jogging partners they will run in tandem right next to you. If given the opportunity to run around off leash, they LOVE to play with each other and chase after tennis balls. They are polite when taking treats and will even eat and drink out of same bowl although they have their own bowls. Jager & Millie are good with other dogs and kids, cats unknown. These two are very bonded and love to be close to each other - at night, they sleep side by side. Jager & Millie both have very sweet personalities and just want to be loved and to receive many belly rubs. They would make an excellent addition to any home and will provide you endless kisses x 2! Kennedy

Kennedy is a very big boy who will need a strong handler. He needs work on his leash manners as he pulls hard and can easily pull someone down. He gets along well with other dogs and we have been told by his former person that he is good with children and cats, we have not had him around children or cats while in our care so we cannot verify that at this time.
Negretia

Negretia along with her brother Milo were surrendered to a shelter when their former family moved. They are young at 1 yr old, full of energy and playfulness. They do very well together, keeping each other occupied. They also do well away from each other, so they do not need to be adopted together. They do have lots to learn to become obedient, well mannered dogs, but training with their new family will help.
Updates:Negretia has been in her foster home for over a week now and she is settling in nicely. Negretia is such a great dog & gets along well with the other dog in her foster home! She is housebroken and very smart. She walks well on a leash and is easy to train. Negretia is attentive and loves to be in the same room as her people. She is calm and well-mannered. Negretia will make a wonderful addition to any family that is willing to put in the time to love and care for her.
