Description

Camelot had a rough start in life. He was purchased to be a guard dog and kept outside. Living his life on a chain, Camelot would escape from time to time. His punishment was days in a crate outside with little to no food or water. Fortunately, a kind person recognized that Camelot needed help and fast. They stepped forward to get this sweet guy to safety. Although his rescuers did everything they could to give Camelot a fresh start, these good samaritans recognized that Camelot would have his best chance at finding the perfect forever home if he were placed with a rescue. When asked if we could help Camelot move forward, we were happy to welcome him into the MAGSR family.

Camelot is a big, beautiful boy. Although he has suffered in his past, he is ready to move forward with a loving family who will always provide him with a safe home. A social guy, Camelot enjoys the company of people and other dogs. As is true of all young dogs, Camelot has good energy and would love a family to help him exercise both his body and his mind on a daily basis. Camelot loves to play ball and hopes his new family does too. He will keep you entertained with his antics. True of all shepherds, Camelot will thrive with structure, routine, and leadership. Training will be key to his success. Not only will training help Camelot bond to his new family, but it will also help him develop into a good canine citizen.

We have learned that Camelot is heartworm positive. This condition could have been avoided had he been provided with monthly heartworm preventatives. MAGSR has begun his heartworm treatment and Camelot is doing well. The cost of his entire treatment will be covered by MAGSR. Treatment is expensive, but Camelot is more than worth the cost. Please consider donating  toward Camelot's treatment. Your generosity will help us save him and other dogs with medical needs. Although Camelot will need to take it slow over the next few months, he will be back to full strength once his treatment is finished. If Camelot sounds like the right match for your household, ask to meet him today.
