Handsome Marquis was purchased as a puppy. Unfortunately, his family did not realize how large he would become and quickly discovered that they did not have the time or resources for a large breed dog. Recognizing that they would not be able to properly care for Marquis, they began reaching out for help. When asked to help this pup move forward, MAGSR stepped up.

True of all puppies, Marquis is a playful and inquisitive guy. Unfortunately, his family did not provide him with many opportunities to socialize with people and other animals. As a result, this boy is shy and does need time to adjust to new people and situations. Marquis' forever family will need to make sure to give him plenty of opportunities to socialize in controlled settings. This is essential for all dogs as it helps them develop into stable and confident adults. Training will also be critical for Marquis as it will help him bond to his forever family; it will also help him begin developing the skills he will need to become a good canine citizen. Although Marquis is a cutie, please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their families. Puppies are full of puppy antics, they whine, get into things, and they will chew on inappropriate items.
