Good With Kids: Unknown

Rigger is a mature boy at 5 years old, he is finished with the puppy antics, chewing etc.. He still has energy and enjoys walks and exercise. He does well with other dogs. He can be aloof which is often time a characteristic of GSD's. Training will go along way in helping him bond with his new family, along with learning more about each other.
Jailyn
ADOPTED 11/03/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Jailyn ended up in a shelter due to her family separating. She lived with a young child in her previous home. Jailyn has a lot of energy and would make a great running partner, this will also help burn some of her energy. Long walks, playtime and training will also do her good.
Harley
ADOPTED 10/30/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Harley was surrendered to us after almost being hit by a motorcycle. She is extremely skittish and a high flight risk at this time. She loves children and other dogs but adults are very scary to her and she keeps her distance from them. She is in the care of a very experienced foster family who are working with her daily and keeping her very safe from being able to flee. It will take some time for her to learn to trust adults but her fosters are up to the challenge. Harley will require an experienced person who will take the time and have the patience to continue to work with her. She will also do best in a home with another confident dog that she can learn from. Even though she adores children it is best that she not be in a home where children are coming and going as she can escape an open door. Harley is not a dog that can be outside off leash at this time, this may come with time.
Updates:
Update:Harley has been with us about a month and she progressing forward in leaps and bounds . She has done great meeting dogs big and small. Harley is an extremely active high energy girl that will do well with an active family and another active dog. She loves to chase a tennis ball and play rope tug with her fur foster brother. She is learning the do’s and don’ts of a home as she is quick to snatch shoes and put her paws on the counter as this girl has lots of puppy left in her!! This girl loves to play all day long and if not allowed to burn that energy and use her mind she could easily get herself into trouble as she is very intelligent! She is crated trained and we are working on house breaking. She was well behaved and sat patiently while she got her nails clipped. She rides excellent in the car!
Harley is a very slow intro girl and requires weeks of patience from her human before she is ready to trust you. It took her a month to trust us enough to seek affection. Harely is still a flight risk and we have to make sure we are careful as to where she is when doors are opened as she could easily slip out. Harley will have to remain leashed in a fenced yard for several weeks until she is bonded with her new family. Harley will require patience, stability, training, and lots of love. Are you the perfect family for Harley?
Bailey
ADOPTED 10/30/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes

Baileys person moved and could not afford the airfare to fly him to Hawaii. He was left with her family but sadly they did not take very good care of him. His person reached out to us as she wanted him away from the bad life his was living.
Bailey arrived in our care under weight, full of fleas, long nails and with no vaccines. He is having everything done at our vets and will be going into a foster home. As you can see by his face he has a worried look which is understandable. He was nervous at the vets office wanting to get away but when he realized he couldn't he laid down and hid his face. We have promised him his future will be much better, being loved and cared for. He is a gentle soul.
Star
ADOPTED 10/28/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Star came to from a shelter so we have no history for her. In our care she has been friendly and well mannered. Of course she will need training, guidance and structure from her new family, along with time to settle in to a new home.
Updates:Update: Our volunteers working at the kennel report that Star walks well on the leash with few corrections, enjoys being brushed, knows sit and down reliably especially with proper treats and isn’t overly interested in the other dogs. She met a family of four with two young children and did well around them. She is a beautiful girl and will make someone a fine companion.
Axel
ADOPTED 10/28/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes

Axel came to us as an owner surrender as his persons new job has her traveling frequently for work. Knowing that Axel deserved more than she could provide she put him in our care to find him a wonderful new home. Axel has lots of energy that needs to be addressed with daily exercise. Training is on the top of his list as he wants to learn good canine manners. He is young and eager to learn.
Diesel
ADOPTED 10/25/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Diesel, along with Supra, are a bonded pair. They love and enjoy each other very much. They play nicely with one another, enjoy sleeping together and even try hanging out in a crate together. They need some work on their leash skills which is being worked on. They are housebroken, ride well in the car and are crate trained. They spent a few hours in downtown Annapolis, MD and at the Naval Academy Sunday. They handled the crowds of people of varying ages well and numerous other dogs of varying sizes. They had no reaction to skateboards, motorcycles, cars, boats, or going up and down stairs. Diesel enjoys playing fetch with a ball and Supra enjoys chasing Diesel as he goes for the ball. They truly are wonderful, easy, good temperaments and enjoy affection. We feel it is in their best interest to be adopted together, so if you have room in your heart and home for this duo please ask to meet them

Shiloh
ADOPTED 10/25/2017!
Good With Kids: No
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Shiloh was returned to us as his family is going through life altering changes and can no longer provide for him as needed. However, he was very much loved by them and he was very attached to them. Upon Shiloh's return, he showed signs of being reactive to strangers and protective of his family. He was also reactive to other dogs. However, he was very friendly, comfortable with and trusting of his family and their bond was evident. He is currently with a reputable trainer so that he can become better socialized and we will provide further updates as we get them from the trainer.
Reese
ADOPTED 10/24/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
This handsome boy was surrendered to us as the other male dog in the home was not getting along with him. Reese is now in a foster home living with both male & female dogs of varying sizes, children and cats. He is good with the larger dogs but is too fixated on the smaller dog and cats. Reese we believe is a senior, 7 years or older, he will be seen by our vet to try to determine his age. He certainly has the energy of a younger dog, he enjoys going for walks and romping around the yard. He a little stiff when first getting up, but once on his feet he has no lameness or stiffness and gets around just fine.
