Renner

I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help. Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Sweet Renner was picked up as a stray and brought to a local shelter. Upon his arrival it was highly evident that this boy needed some special attention and quickly. His skin was raw and painful in many areas due to a deep skin dermatitis. Fortunately, the shelter was able to get him immediate medical care so Renner could find some relief. With a little TLC, Renner's skin has greatly improved. Although the shelter staff loved Renner, they knew he would have his best chance at finding his forever family if he was transferred to a rescue. When asked if we could help this guy, MAGSR immediately stepped forward.
Renner is a sweet young adult. He enjoys the company of his people and other dogs. As is true of many shepherds, Renner does need a little time to adjust to his people. However, when given a moment to warm up, Renner is affectionate and interactive. Although we do not know anything about his past, we do know that Renner will thrive with structure, routine, and consistency. Training will go a long way with Renner. Not only will this help him develop the skills and strategies needed to develop into a good canine citizen but it will also help him bond to his new family. Sweet Shari and her three babies - Jingle, Winkey, and Duran - were picked up as strays in a busy city. This lovely little family was taken to a shelter for safety. However, recognizing that a shelter is no place for a mom and her pups, shelter staff began reaching out for rescue help. When we heard their plea, MAGSR stepped in to help this sweet little family move forward in safety.
Winkey is a delightful and very loveable pup. Although her life began in a difficult circumstance, things have been looking up since she has arrived in our care. Winkey has been learning the joys of playing for hours with her siblings. She has also discovered that toys are endless fun. Enjoying the company of other dogs and people, Winkey has begun to gain the critical socialization needed to become a stable and confident adult. It is essential that her family continues this process. Although Winkey is an absolute love, please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. Puppies are full of puppy energy which results in endless puppy antics. They will get into things, whine, and will chew on inappropriate items. Handsome little Bud, his mom - Magnolia, and his siblings - Magnum, Blaze, Basil, Cedar, Fleury, Ren, Quill, Daissy, Iris, and Rose - have been living with a foster family for several weeks. This large and lovely family quickly joined the MAGSR family soon after Magnolia arrived at a shelter in labor. As a shelter is no place for moms and pups, staff worked quickly to move Magnolia into our care so that she could raise her little ones in a safe and calm environment. Magnolia has done an incredible job with her pups and has made sure that all eleven of them were well cared for and healthy. However, in a couple of weeks, she will be ready to say goodbye as the entire family will be ready to find forever homes of their own.
Delightful Bud is an absolute honey. Having lived in a household, his foster family has been working hard to develop his social skills. Although he has a good start already, it is imperative that Bud's forever family continue this process. Bud is a calm and confident guy, however, please keep in mind that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. Puppies are full of puppy energy and antics. They get into things, whine, and will chew on inappropriate items. With time, training, socialization and patience, Bud will develop into the good canine citizen we know he is destined to become. Updates:Bud is super sweet and smart and making good progress on housetraining. He loves our dogs, but he really LOVES people and wants to be right with us all the time.

Yuki's family loved her dearly; however, due to some unforeseen circumstances, they found themselves unable to provide her with the attention and care she deserves. As a result, Yuki's family made the difficult decision to surrender her to MAGSR. We have promised Yuki's family that we will find her a safe and loving household.
Yuki is a lovely and energetic shepherd. As is common with most shepherds, Yuki thrives with structure and leadership. When these circumstances are not present, she can become nervous and anxious. Although Yuki has lived with other dogs, cats, and children, she does need time to warm up to new people and animals. When given this opportunity, Yuki meets with success. Yuki is looking for a forever family that will help her move forward. If she sounds like a good match for your household, ask to meet Yuki today.
Updates:Yuki has been with her foster for 2 weeks and is settling in well. She is starting to show her fun loving personality and can we just say: SQUEAKY BALL! She is in love with squeaky balls and would love to play fetch with her person for as long as possible. She absolutely loves getting her chest scratched and will pull your hand right to her chest with her paw. Need a reminder not to sit at the computer for long periods? No problem. She has a built in clock that says one hour at a time only please. Her itchiness is doing better and her coat is looking more glossy with regular groceries and fish oil. She is still nervous around other people and dogs and needs very gentle introductions. We are working on leash manners and she knows she is supposed to do something different, but is still very focused on watching out for trouble. After barking and letting workmen know that they were entering restricted territory and then getting introduced, she had no problem letting them come in and work on my house. Yuki has a possible diagnosis of EPI -- a pancreatic insufficiency common in GSDs, and may need lifelong enzyme additives in her food. It doesn't bother her but may be adding to her tendency to being underweight and itchy.
Yuki has had a very happy new year! For the first time, she had happy zoomies after a walk (for those of you who haven't seen those, that is when the dog is so full of fun that their brains turn off, ears go back, and the dog zooms around the available space with a wide smile and frequent play bows until the need for water slows them down). She didn't have any problems with the fireworks, which was a nice surprise. She also slept through the neighbor's loud music. It was nice to see her relaxed. She really is a sweetheart who just wants to be near her person in a generally quiet environment and get the ball thrown for her. She would rather play ball then go on a walk! She is housebroken and prefers to do her business in the backyard rather than on walks.
She is crate trained but we are seeing some separation anxiety behaviors. She would benefit from some work with that. She is eager to please and be a part of your life. She is very ball motivated and that is fun to use during training. She knows (in a distraction free environment) sit, down, up, off, come, leave it, bring it, go potty, over, in the car, and where's the ball. She is getting better at stay, but still wants you to stay in sight in return.
Yuki has EPI which requires over-the-counter enzymes and regular, store bought food (high calorie, lower fat, and low fiber). The enzymes we have were around $77 for what is probably going to be a 20 day supply. So her "special" food need comes to about $100 per month and she gets Monthly B-12 shots. Yuki is a special dog that needs a special home that will love her and keep up her special diet and shots. Could you be that person that gives her the care and love she so deserves?
Fleury

Crumble

Lovely Crumble, her mom - Sugar Pie - and her five siblings - Tort, Cobbler, Cake, Pudding, and Sundae - were dumped in the south when the puppies were just hours old. Fortunately, the right people found them and immediately started networking to help this family move forward. With rescue support provided and a plan in place, the little family was moved into an experienced foster home so that they could receive the love and attention needed to survive. Although they struggled at first, with time, attention, and some extra love, the pups and their mom pulled through.
The dessert puppies are now ready to move forward into their forever families. These adorable little fluffy puppies have had the benefit of living with a loving home. Although they have been well socialized with people and other dogs, it is critical that their new families continue this process as it will help them develop into stable adults. The dessert puppies are absolute sweethearts; however, please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. Puppies are full of puppy energy and antics. Lovely Karma was adored by her family. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, they could no longer provide her with the life and attention that they knew she deserved. As a result, they made the difficult decision to surrender her. Although this decision was not made lightly, they knew that rehoming Karma was in her best interest. We promised Karma's family that we would find her a safe and loving forever home.
Karma is a smart, energetic, and playful girl. As a young shepherd, Karma has a lot of great energy and curiosity. She will thrive in an environment where she can exercise both her body and her mind on a daily basis. With some high ball drive and desire for enrichment, Karma is hoping that her new family has a good throwing arm. Having lived in a household, Karma knows many of the ins and outs of living in a household. She is already housebroken and crate trained. However, as is true of any new dog, she will need to learn the rules of the new household. Karma has already participated in some training and knows some commands. This is a fantastic start. However, it is critical that her new family continue with training with Karma. Not only will this help Karma develop into a good canine citizen, but it will also help her bond to her new family. Sweet Magnolia is a lovely girl. She has done an amazing job raising her pups but is now ready to move forward with a family of her own. In many ways she is just a puppy herself at just a year and a half old. She still has some puppy-like mannerisms and is a goofy girl. It will be essential that her family exercise both her body and her mind on a daily basis. Although she arrived at the shelter as a stray, Magnolia has been living in a household for several weeks now and is making great strides. She seems to enjoy the comfort of a soft bed, toys, and plenty of treats. As is true of all shepherds, Magnolia will thrive with structure, routine, and leadership. Rachael, her mom, and her six siblings - Amy, Joe, Mikey, Monica, Jill, and Phoebe - were dumped on a country road in the south. Covered in ringworm, emaciated, and clearly not well cared for, this little family needed help and quickly. Fortunately, a good samaritan found this family and got them to the safety of a shelter. Although shelter staff did a wonderful job getting this family the help they needed, they knew that moms and puppies do not belong in a shelter environment. As a result, a rescue plea went out. When we heard that this little family needed help, MAGSR immediately stepped forward.
Rachael's loving, interactive, and joyful. She is everything that a puppy should be. Although this little girl is a sweetheart, please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. Puppies are full of puppy energy and antics. Updates:At 14 weeks her personality is really coming out! She is inquisitive and outgoing, eager to see what everything is and what it does. She loves to play with our resident cats and large GSD as well as newcomers to the home. She is testing the waters and would be an alpha female if given the opportunity- she is very confident. She is wonderful in the car and is crate trained.

Updates:At 14 weeks his personality is really coming out! He is cuddly and sweet and VERY smart. He learned "sit" very quickly (he is VERY food motivated) and is eager to learn new things and please his people. He loves playing with his sister (Rachel), the cats, and our resident shepherd. He is great in the car and is crate trained. He has a gentle and submissive personality. He is loving his socialization and confidence building adventures and will eagerly greet strangers or climb on anything he is allowed to!

Jet and his buddy, Pilot, were picked up as strays and brought to a local shelter. Upon their arrival it was highly evident that these boys had not been treated well by their people. A little unsure about their surroundings, emaciated, and in poor health, shelter staff felt it would be best if these boys were placed with a rescue. When asked if MAGSR could work with the boys to move them forward, we immediately committed to them knowing that we could find these guys a safe and loving forever home.
Jet is a sweet guy. He can be a little shy at first as he needs a few minutes to learn to trust. However, when given the opportunity to move forward at his own pace, Jet is interactive and friendly. As a teenager, Jet is still learning all the rules of living in a home as a stable dog. He will benefit from a household that will provide him with the structure, leadership, and consistency that all young dogs need. Jet is living in a loving foster home that is teaching him all about the joys of living in a household. However, just like any new dog, he will need to fine tune his skills in his forever home. Training will go a long way with Jet. Not only will it help him bond with his new family but it will also help him develop into the stable and confident adult we know he is destined to be. Updates:Jet is a sweet laid back boy who likes playing with other dogs but he is quite happy just lounging around and watching football on TV. His foster reports that it is evident that Jet has lived in a house before. He is crate trained and house broken.
We are happy to report Jet is very sociable around people and other dogs. He does well in his crate, sleeps there all night. His fosters are working on his heel which he is getting used to. He is all puppy, adorable and energetic and will be a great addition to a family.
Willow

Willow's mom loved her beyond words. Unfortunately, she recently passed away leaving sweet Willow behind with a team of friends who promised they would find Willow a loving forever family. Willow's mom did everything she could to make sure that Willow would be safe and cared for even if she couldn't do it herself. When MAGSR was contacted to help Willow move forward, we knew that this sweet girl was special. We promised her caretakers that we would find her the perfect forever family.
Willow is a lovely lady. It is very apparent that her mom took exceptional care of her. She is eager to please and very snuggly. However, as is true of many shepherds, she can be a little timid around new people. Given a little time and some yummy treats, Willow warms up to new people. An intelligent girl, Willow is a quick learner. As is true of all new dogs, she will benefit from training with her new family. This will not only help her develop the skills of a good canine citizen, but it will also help her bond to her new family. Although she is going through a huge change, Willow has adjusted well with her foster family. She greatly enjoys playing with her furry foster brother. Good with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, Willow is a friendly girl. She is looking for a forever family that will love her throughout her golden years. As a shelter is no place for moms and pups, staff worked quickly to move Magnolia into our care so that she could raise her little ones in a safe and calm environment. Magnolia has done an incredible job with her pups and has made sure that all eleven of them were well cared for and healthy. However, in a couple of weeks, she will be ready to say goodbye as the entire family will be ready to find forever homes of their own.
Gorgeous Iris is a cutie. Having lived in a household, her foster family has been working hard to develop her social skills. Although she has a good start already, it is imperative that Iris' forever family continue this process. Iris is an absolute snuggle bug, however, please keep in mind that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. Puppies are full of puppy energy and antics. They get into things, whine, and will chew on inappropriate items. With time, training, socialization and patience, Iris will develop into the good canine citizen we know she is destined to become. Darling Cedar, his mom - Magnolia, and his siblings - Magnum, Blaze, Bud, Basil, Fleury, Ren, Quill, Daissy, Iris, and Rose - have been living with a foster family for several weeks. This large and lovely family quickly joined the MAGSR family soon after Magnolia arrived at a shelter in labor. Lovely Tort, her mom - Sugar Pie - and her five siblings - Crumble, Cobbler, Cake, Pudding, and Sundae - were dumped in the south when the puppies were just hours old. Fortunately, the right people found them and immediately started networking to help this family move forward. With rescue support provided and a plan in place, the little family was moved into an experienced foster home so that they could receive the love and attention needed to survive. Although they struggled at first, with time, attention, and some extra love, the pups and their mom pulled through.
The dessert puppies are now ready to move forward into their forever families. These adorable little fluffy puppies have had the benefit of living with a loving home. Although they have been well socialized with people and other dogs, it is critical that their new families continue this process as it will help them develop into stable adults. The dessert puppies are absolute sweethearts; however, please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. Puppies are full of puppy energy and antics. They get into things, whine, and will chew on inappropriate items. With time, training, and patience, Tort will develop into the good canine citizen we know she is destined to become.
