York
ADOPTED 11/12/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
York cannot be any cuter and is absolutely a great little boy, happy go lucky and loves to give puppy kisses. York has a lot to learn about going a good canine citizen and will require training. Please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family - puppies are a ten to twelve year commitment. Puppies are full of energy and can be mischievous – they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, guidance and training, York will become even more of an amazing boy than he already is. Please inquire if York sounds like a good match for your family. Available for adoption at 8 weeks, November 12th!

Kylie is a beautiful, very high-energy girl. Kylie can be mouthy when playing and will need some training, but she is precious and has a ton of potential. Baxter
ADOPTED 11/10/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Baxter along with his sister Bailey found themselves at a shelter after they kept escaping an electric/invisible fence and chasing the cattle. Hmmm, imagine that they are herding dogs after all. They are obviously smart and knew what they were born to do. They are very bonded so we are hoping that a family will have enough room and love to adopt them together. They did well with children they met, but would prefer not to share their home or people with cats. They are a very sweet pair.

Maxx
ADOPTED 11/06/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Maxx had a family of his own since he was a puppy, sadly his family decided to get a new puppy. Well that was the end of Maxx as they devoted their time to the puppy and dumped Maxx. He did not deserve to be tossed aside or replaced by a puppy.
Maxx is now looking for a family who will love and cherish him for the rest of his life. Maxx is pretty much a blank slate, not having had much in the way of training, structure or guidance. He is a smart boy and willing to learn if someone is willing to take the time to teach him. For your time and patience Maxx will reward you with a lifetime of devotion.
Sally
ADOPTED 11/05/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Sally was a stray and ended up in a shelter. She is an adorable Shepherd mix that would enjoy a forever family of her very own. She did well during her cat and dog test. We believe she should do well with children, but she has not met any while in our care. Training to teach her manners is of course needed as it is with all of our dogs. Training also helps to create a bond with her new family.
Claire
ADOPTED 11/05/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Claire found herself at a shelter where space was limited so her time was running out. While at the shelter she was cat tested and did fine with them. Claire is a sweet girl who enjoys cuddles from her people. She needs to brush up on her manners, leash skills and not jumping up on people will be mastered during training classes.
Hugo
ADOPTED 11/05/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Hugo was surrendered to us as his family felt their home was too small for him and they also did not like his shedding around their child. When one gets a GSD they need to realize that they are big dogs and they shed a lot. Hugo now is looking for a family who appreciates the breed regardless of their size and shedding. Sadly sweet Hugo tested heartworm positive, he obviously was not kept on monthly Heartworms Preventatives which would have protected him. He will need to undergo treatment to rid his body of Heartworms so that he may enjoy many more years of life. Treatment is expensive but Hugo is so worth the cost.
Donations towards his treatment would be greatly appreciated, this would also help us save other dogs with medical needs.
Chauncey
ADOPTED 11/04/2016!
Good With Kids: Older Kids Only
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Chauncey is a 7 month old, full of energy boy that is in need of guidance, training and boundaries. He is coming of the age where he is testing the waters to see how much he can get away with. He requires socialization with new people as he will be protective of his family. He needs to learn that his person has control of situations and that he can relax and let down his guard. A happy dog is well exercised dog, both physically and mentally. Lots of games, walks, runs and working on his training will help Chauncey with his energy. Chauncey is not for first time dog families, he is best suited for an experienced family who has the time, patience and commitment to help Chauncey be a well mannered canine citizen.
Blaze

Good With Kids: Yes, older kids
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Who's that mountain of a dog? That's Blaze! He's a strong, confident male with a gentle and sweet side of a big softy. Blaze loves to go for walks, play with dog toys, get belly rubs from his family. While he is very muscular and powerful, he does well on leash and listens to direction. Blaze has settled into his personality as a mature adult, and enjoys hanging out with other dogs and staying close to his person. Blaze just can't wait to meet his forever family!
Aspen
ADOPTED 10/23/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Aspen was surrendered as the older male GSD in the home decided that he no longer wanted her there and was starting fights with her. Her family loved her very much but realized that it was not fair having to keep them separated. Aspen is now looking for a new home and family who will care for her for the rest of her life.

Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Benjamin is a handsome black & red GSD. He is very friendly with both people and other dogs. Benjamin is in need of training, this will help him learn all that he needs to know and will also help create a bond with his new family. A firm leader will benefit him, along with both physical and mental exercise.
Updates:Benjamin at play and at the store:
Ace
ADOPTED 10/16/2016!
Good With Kids: Older Kids Only
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Ace was surrendered by his family as he was not getting along with the older male GSD in the home. His family loves him very much, but realized it would best for all that Ace find a new home. Ace lived with another male and female GSD, he did not have any issues with the female. He has been around children and did well, but he does get spoked when they run up on him, for this reason it would be best that Ace only go to a home with older respectful children. Ace loves attention from his family, he is crate trained and has good house manners. Ask to meet this handsome boy.
Herb
ADOPTED 10/16/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Herb along with his brothers Jasper and Malakai were farm dogs, living outside free to roam where ever they wanted to. Often times they ate trash and anything else they could find. Herb was the underdog of the group often being picked on by his brothers which resulted in scarring of his face.
Herb would love to put his past behind him and to learn the manners to be a good house dog. He will require someone with the patience it will take to teach him what is expected of him in a home with loving family. Herb deserves the chance to experience the comforts of a home, good food, a soft bed and lots of love

Dakota was surrendered to the shelter when his person became ill and could no longer care for him. He is reported to be a very friendly boy, enjoying the company of people and other dogs. He met some cats while at the vets office and did well with them. At a year old he is still a puppy in need of training, guidance, and structure. He will require patience while he learns good canine manners.

Rory
ADOPTED 10/07/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Rory was surrendered to MAGSR after he was severely injured while breaking out of his crate and having a bookcase fall on him. Rory had lacerations to his ear and shoulder caused by the latch on the crate with a hairline fractured his shoulder from the bookcase falling on him, which should heal on its own with proper restrictions. As is true of all puppies, Rory is sweet, cute and cuddly. Rory will require a lot of attention, time, and patience from his new family. He has a lot to learn and will need leadership and guidance in order to become a good canine citizen. He will get into things, chew on inappropriate things, have accidents, whine, and want lots of attention and love. Rory will need proper food and vet care for the rest of his life. In return, he will smother you in puppy kisses and cuddles while entertaining you with his puppy antics. If interested in Rory, please be sure you have the time and patience to raise a puppy and commit to him for his entire life.
Tye
ADOPTED 09/30/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Tye once had a family of his own we he peacefully lived with children, dogs and cats. When his family moved Tye was not included, so he found himself at a shelter. Tye would love to once again have the comforts of a home and the love of a forever family.
Updates:Unfortunately, Tye was returned to us as once in the adopters home he was showing behaviors we had not seen. Although he had lived with children and another dog prior to being surrendered, once in his new home he did not seem to do well with the neighborhood children. Tye is now back in our care, our volunteers are spending more time with him. Since living with a trainer, Tye has been reported to be doing excellent and is friendly with all people he has met. Tye will need someone who is willing to take the leadership role and take him training to establish a positive bond between him and his handler. Tye takes direction well and is very intelligent. Please request to meet Tye is you are interested.
Luke
ADOPTED 09/29/2016!
Good With Kids: Older kids only
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
This sweet, loving, senior boy who devoted his life to his previous family was repaid for those years with being dumped at a shelter. Why, because they no longer had the time for him. The condition he arrived in our care showed that this family never had time for him, his nails were so over grown that he had a very difficult time walking, his beautiful long coat was dirty and matted and he had a skin infection. Well his life has changed for the better, he is now in a loving foster home living the life he so deserves.
Luke bonds quickly with his people, he is getting around well after his much needed nail clip and has a nice pep in his step for a senior. He has been examined by the vet and is being treated for the skin infection. Seniors are wonderful, they have so much love and kindness to give. Please don't let Luke's age deter you, he deserves a true family to call his own and to spend his senior years with.
Updates:Luke is settling in nicely to his foster home. He's getting stronger every day in MAGSR's care and when he walks, he's almost prancing around and seems so happy. He likes to play with toys, play catch with his ball, and is becoming more active. If you're looking for a companion and would consider one who has lived a little, please consider this senior boy who still has a lot to give.
Luke's foster mom took Luke in thinking she would be getting an old guy that really couldn't do much, but she has been very surprised. MAGSR was told Luke is 12 yrs old, but his foster mom think he's a few years younger than that. While Luke may not be for someone who wants to hike 10 miles or someone who wants a dog to run or jog with, Luke is now taking several walks a day and can easily walk 1/2 mile without difficulty. Luke is very affectionate and loves all attention he gets. Luke would make someone with a quiet lifestyle a great dog and companion. Please schedule an appointment to meet Luke!
Rougie

Rougie came to us as an owner surrender, as her family could no longer care for her. Rougie has been stable on enzymes and living with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) for two years.
