Ace
ADOPTED 10/16/2016!
Good With Kids: Older Kids Only
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Ace was surrendered by his family as he was not getting along with the older male GSD in the home. His family loves him very much, but realized it would best for all that Ace find a new home. Ace lived with another male and female GSD, he did not have any issues with the female. He has been around children and did well, but he does get spoked when they run up on him, for this reason it would be best that Ace only go to a home with older respectful children. Ace loves attention from his family, he is crate trained and has good house manners. Ask to meet this handsome boy.
Herb
ADOPTED 10/16/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Herb along with his brothers Jasper and Malakai were farm dogs, living outside free to roam where ever they wanted to. Often times they ate trash and anything else they could find. Herb was the underdog of the group often being picked on by his brothers which resulted in scarring of his face.
Herb would love to put his past behind him and to learn the manners to be a good house dog. He will require someone with the patience it will take to teach him what is expected of him in a home with loving family. Herb deserves the chance to experience the comforts of a home, good food, a soft bed and lots of love
Hayley
ADOPTED 10/12/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Hayley is a young beautiful girl with a lot of energy. She is in need of an active family who can help direct her energy. Hikes, walks, runs, playtime and training will certainly help with dealing her energy. She is no couch potato, she will require daily activity in order to keep her engery in check. If you feel that you can provide for a high energy girl, ask to meet Hayley.
Rory
ADOPTED 10/07/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Rory was surrendered to MAGSR after he was severely injured while breaking out of his crate and having a bookcase fall on him. Rory had lacerations to his ear and shoulder caused by the latch on the crate with a hairline fractured his shoulder from the bookcase falling on him, which should heal on its own with proper restrictions. As is true of all puppies, Rory is sweet, cute and cuddly. Rory will require a lot of attention, time, and patience from his new family. He has a lot to learn and will need leadership and guidance in order to become a good canine citizen. He will get into things, chew on inappropriate things, have accidents, whine, and want lots of attention and love. Rory will need proper food and vet care for the rest of his life. In return, he will smother you in puppy kisses and cuddles while entertaining you with his puppy antics. If interested in Rory, please be sure you have the time and patience to raise a puppy and commit to him for his entire life.
Tye
ADOPTED 09/30/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Tye once had a family of his own we he peacefully lived with children, dogs and cats. When his family moved Tye was not included, so he found himself at a shelter. Tye would love to once again have the comforts of a home and the love of a forever family.
Updates:Unfortunately, Tye was returned to us as once in the adopters home he was showing behaviors we had not seen. Although he had lived with children and another dog prior to being surrendered, once in his new home he did not seem to do well with the neighborhood children. Tye is now back in our care, our volunteers are spending more time with him. Since living with a trainer, Tye has been reported to be doing excellent and is friendly with all people he has met. Tye will need someone who is willing to take the leadership role and take him training to establish a positive bond between him and his handler. Tye takes direction well and is very intelligent. Please request to meet Tye is you are interested.
Luke
ADOPTED 09/29/2016!
Good With Kids: Older kids only
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
This sweet, loving, senior boy who devoted his life to his previous family was repaid for those years with being dumped at a shelter. Why, because they no longer had the time for him. The condition he arrived in our care showed that this family never had time for him, his nails were so over grown that he had a very difficult time walking, his beautiful long coat was dirty and matted and he had a skin infection. Well his life has changed for the better, he is now in a loving foster home living the life he so deserves.
Luke bonds quickly with his people, he is getting around well after his much needed nail clip and has a nice pep in his step for a senior. He has been examined by the vet and is being treated for the skin infection. Seniors are wonderful, they have so much love and kindness to give. Please don't let Luke's age deter you, he deserves a true family to call his own and to spend his senior years with.
Updates:Luke is settling in nicely to his foster home. He's getting stronger every day in MAGSR's care and when he walks, he's almost prancing around and seems so happy. He likes to play with toys, play catch with his ball, and is becoming more active. If you're looking for a companion and would consider one who has lived a little, please consider this senior boy who still has a lot to give.
Luke's foster mom took Luke in thinking she would be getting an old guy that really couldn't do much, but she has been very surprised. MAGSR was told Luke is 12 yrs old, but his foster mom think he's a few years younger than that. While Luke may not be for someone who wants to hike 10 miles or someone who wants a dog to run or jog with, Luke is now taking several walks a day and can easily walk 1/2 mile without difficulty. Luke is very affectionate and loves all attention he gets. Luke would make someone with a quiet lifestyle a great dog and companion. Please schedule an appointment to meet Luke!

Phelps
ADOPTED 09/22/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Our handsome boy Phelps found himself roaming the streets as a stray which landed him in a shelter. He has been friendly with those at the shelter and our volunteers. As he is new to us we are still learning more about him, we will post updates. Training of course is required, this will teach him good manners. He is young and untrained so he will require someone who will set boundaries, has experience with the breed, along with the time, patience and knowledge he will need.
Bruno
ADOPTED 09/18/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Bruno is a big handsome boy who is need of training to help him learn good leash manners, not to jump on people and to be a good canine citizen. He gets along well with other dogs, although he may be too exuberant in his play with some dogs. Training will certainly go along away in helping Bruno and his new family learn more about each other.

Lassie
ADOPTED 09/18/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Lassie was surrendered to us as her family was moving out of the country and could not take her with them. In her former home she lived with dogs, cats and birds. Pretty Lassie would love to once again be in a home with a family of her very own. Ask to meet Lassie to see if she is a good fit for your family.
Kobi
ADOPTED 09/17/2016!
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Kobi's family loved him very much but could no longer care for him. They wanted to be sure that he finds a great new family so they put his care and future in our hands. Kobi is a big boy at 100 lbs, but he is easy to handle. He will require some training to teach him and his new family how to work together, which will help create a bond. He is very friendly and gets along with other dogs.
Evie
ADOPTED 09/17/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Sweet Evie was surrendered at a shelter when her family decided to move. They took the 3 month old male GSD but didn't take her. Evie lived with children in her previous home - the youngest child being 4. She is reported to be housebroke and trustworthy in the home. Evie is a sweet girl looking for a family who will love her for life.
Updates:Evie is doing well in her foster home and recovering from a pretty bad case of pneumonia. Evie is a very sweet girl and is very attentive and affectionate and focused on her handler. Evie will need structure and training, as all the pups do, and is waiting to fully recover and move on with her life and her new family. Please think about meeting Evie because she is waiting to meet you.
Evie was returned to MAGSR after a year, through no fault of her own, but because her owner could no longer provide care for her. Evie's foster reports that she is confused and nervous in her temporary home. Her fosters slowly introduced her to all of their resident dogs a little bit at a time, but for now, are allowing her to decompress in her crate and will continue to integrate her into the pack gradually and at her own pace. On walks around the neighborhood, Evie seems to be okay, but she is very sad she is now without a permanent home. Evie walks well on a leash and was friendly with the neighborhood kids. Evie is such a sweet dog just wants to find a family who will love and commit to her. If Evie sounds like a good fit, please ask to meet her.
Ceasar
ADOPTED 09/10/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Due to unforeseen changes in Ceasars families lifes they were no longer able to care for him. He is a friendly boy who gets along with children and other dogs. While he does have some basic obedience training, we do require that all of our adopters complete a minimum of 6 week training with their adopted dog. Training is much more than teaching the basics and good manners, it helps socialize the dog and also creates a bond with their new family.
Steiger
ADOPTED 09/08/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Steiger is a large young pup who has had no training or direction in his life. He is a blank slate and would benefit greatly from training with his new family. All dogs benefit from having boundaries set and a good pack leader. Steiger wants to learn and needs your help so that he can be a good canine citizen. He is still pretty much a puppy at only 10 months old so he will need patience and time to settle into a routine and his new home.
Hemlock
ADOPTED 09/05/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Hemlock was very much loved by his family but his owner was deployed and his family looked to MAGSR to find Hemlock a loving and caring home. He is a beautiful boy who is very friendly with everyone he meets. He loves to play fetch, Frisbee and loves to cuddle. He has carpus valgus in his left front joint. It has been established that this condition most commonly occurs in rapidly growing medium to large breed dogs. Some evidence suggests male puppies are more likely to be affected by this condition. This condition does not stop Hemlock from running and playing and having fun. If you can provide this handsome boy a loving home please ask to meet Hemlock today.
Updates:Hemlock was returned to MAGSR when his family could no longer care for him. Hemlock is a young and energetic dog who has now broken the plate in his leg causing turning of his leg again. MAGSR is working with surgeons to determine the best course of action for Hemlock so that he can move forward with his life with a new family. Hemlock's recovery will require time and patience and following a strict set of guidelines for any adopter. Please ask to meet Hemlock if he sounds like a good fit for your family.
Hemlock (or ‘Lock, as his foster mom calls him) may have a crooked leg, but it doesn’t stop him from having fun! He is a high energy dog with a goofy personality and a lot to say! Playing with his Frisbee, swimming, going for long hikes, and riding in the car are some of his favorite activities. If you’re looking for a dog to share in your adventures, he’s your guy! As long as he gets his daily exercise, he will happily snuggle on the couch and watch TV with you (but much prefers to bring you toys so you can toss them). He loves to play with his foster fur sister, but sometimes gets a little jealous if he’s not the main focus. He knows many tricks, and would love to learn more! He’s still young, so does have to be reminded of the rules, and going to training will help with that. He’s potty trained and crate trained, but he rarely stays in his crate because he’s just so good in the house! If you can provide the patience, love, care, and commitment he deserves, please ask to meet him!
Shorty
ADOPTED 09/04/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Shorty, who is actually a tall lanky boy was surrendered as his person could no longer care for him. It is obvious that he was loved and well cared for. Shorty is a lot of dog, weighing in at 100 lbs he is very strong and pulls quite hard when being walked on a leash. He has no formal training which he would benefit from greatly. He is super friendly and very sweet with everyone he meets, although he does like to greet them barks. He needs to be taught dog on dog social skills, he does get along with other dogs but has not had much exposure to them so he is not quite sure how to interact. If you have the time to devote to Shorty's training he will be a well mannered boy in no time, as he is very smart and picks up quickly.

Karma will require a lot of attention, time, and patience from her new family. She has a lot to learn and will need leadership and guidance in order to become a good canine citizen.
