Apollo
ADOPTED 02/21/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Apollo, along with his housemate, Trinity, were abandoned by their family. They were in a temporary foster home and never came back for them. They are now both looking for families who will care for them for the rest of their lives. They do not have to remain together as both are quite content separated from one another. Apollo is a big boy weighing in at 91 lbs, with this kind of weight he is quite strong on the leash and in need of some leash manners. We know in his previous home he lived with children but we do not know how he got along with them. A good training program to help him learn some good dog manners and what his new family expects of him is in order. Both Trinity and Apollo will need a home with no small animals as they are just too tempting.
Updates: Koda
ADOPTED 02/20/2016!
Good With Kids: Older kids, over 12
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Koda found herself alone in a shelter after her family decided that the puppy they bought was not acting like a puppy anymore. Dogs are a lifetime commitment that require leadership, guidance, and an unending amount of patience. Without proper training and guidance a young, energetic shepherd will find inappropriate outlets for their energy. Koda is a young girl who will need both mental and physical stimulation in order to meet with success in her forever home. Both crate trained and house broken, Koda knows some household rules already. In addition she knows many of her basic command, such as, sit, down, stay and paw. She is working on heel and the out command in her foster home. Although Koda is an amazing dog, she does need extra time and patience when meeting new people. As extra time and attention is required to address her socialization needs, she would be best suited with an experienced household. Please inquire today if Koda sounds like the right fit for your home.
Mandolin
ADOPTED 02/20/2016!
Good With Kids: No
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Mandolin was found wandering in the bitter cold. Being in survival mode she was difficult to catch but finally brought to safety after a month on the run. She waited at the shelter for her family to come but that day never came. Mandolin is now with MAGSR looking to start her life anew.
Updates:Miss Mandolin is a real gem – as beautiful, sweet, and smart a dog as you could hope to find – and so responsive and eager to please. But like many gems she is dazzling to behold, but she is not perfect. This little girl has a “big” personality and abundant energy and drive, and for much of her young life she has not received the leadership and direction needed to direct all that energy appropriately. She can be very focused and will chase a ball until the cows come home, LOVES to run along with her foster dad on his recumbent bike, and is a whip at learning new things. She is adjusting well to her foster home, is housebroken, and is learning to get along with her canine housemates.
But she can also be very excitable and inappropriately protective of her handler, and so will require close and constant supervision and clear rules and limits as she receives the professional training she needs to safely reach her full potential. Miss Mandy is such a wonderful dog, so very lovable, and so much fun! With work and guidance, she can excel at just about anything - obedience, agility, etc., but she will require an experienced and dedicated adopter, and a vocation, to truly thrive.
Miss Mandy is sort of like a fine sports car – a real pleasure to drive, as long as you are careful and in control with a clear and safe road ahead before you tromp down on the gas pedal. If you are experienced and would like to take the joyful intensity that is Miss Mandolin out for a test drive, please ask to meet her!
Chase
ADOPTED 02/15/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Harley and Chase's person sadly was no longer able to care for them. They were very much loved and well cared for. Harley and Chase are very bonded and have a very difficult time being separated, for this reason we would like them to remain together. They are very friendly with people and other dogs of their size. They enjoy spending time with their person, going for car rides and playing with squeaky balls.

Colonel
ADOPTED 02/13/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Meet Colonel! He is a slim boy found running as a stray. He's a very friendly boy, loves long walks and attention. Colonel definitely needs to put on several pounds to get to an ideal weight. He announces himself when we bring him out of the kennel and really just wants to cut loose and run and play. We are working on basic commands with him but he would enjoy training class. If you think this sweet boy would be a good attention to your family please ask to meet him today.
Updates:Sadly, Colonel has had a pretty rough start in his short life. Shortly after arrival, Magsr volunteers noticed that Colonel walks a little different. Upon X-rays it was noted that Colonel has an old leg injury that healed on its own, it also noted he had gunshot pellets in his muscle. The pellets noted on the radiographs are not significant enough to warrant removal. Colonel is thin and has poor muscle quality. He will need to build his muscle tone by walking at a pace that causes him to use his rear legs independently and going on walks up hills with a mild incline. Long leash walks, exercise, ball and Frisbee play will help keep his joints limber. Colonel also needs love and attention. Colonel needs a family to show him that all humans aren't cruel. Even after all that Colonel has been through he still remains sweet and gentle with everyone he meets. He always greets us with a smile and a happy dance. MAGSR is committed to helping sweet Colonel by stopping at no means to get him to a healthy weight and physically stronger. If you are a family to give him the much needed love and attention that he deserves please ask to meet this sweet boy today.
Colonel has been in a foster home for a couple of weeks. He's a sweet, happy boy who loves playing and affection. Colonel has put on a few needed pounds and has more to go to get to an ideal weight. Colonel's ability to use his rear legs independently has greatly improved with daily long walks including short inclines, and he's good with 3 or 4 steps. Patience and treats were needed for his first flight of stairs and going up was easier than coming down. Colonel walks well with the resident foster dog. He enjoys fetch, chase, and tug with tennis balls and tug-of-war toys with both humans and other dogs. Colonel will protect his humans from squirrels and rabbits when needed on his walks, so he may be a "no" for cats, but we haven't confirmed that yet. Colonel is both crate trained and house broken. He's learning sit and stay, and is great with older children and eagerly awaits and loves ear and belly rubs. He loves to lean into you and rub against you to say hello - he's very affectionate and loves his humans. He may inadvertently knock down very young children when greeting or playing. When outside, Colonel enjoys laying nearby to take in all the sounds and smells. This sweet, fun boy is ready to be your playmate and a part of your loving family.
Colonel is easy going, playful, and eager to please. He knows how to sit, lay down, go to bed (crate), give his paw for a treat, and stop while walking on a leash. He's learning to drop a toy or ball after fetch, though he would rather play keep away or chase with it! Colonel is super affectionate and even tries to sit in my lap occasionally. He looks for his foster sister when back from walks and is super excited to see her, wagging his tail and kissing her, he's adorable. He "play growls" during tug and enjoys the challenge of getting biscuits out of a Kong or treat ball. He's not too sure about getting into the tub, but tolerates a bath with no problem at all. He really enjoys getting towel dried even after walking in the rain! He loves going for car rides, sits quietly or lays down. Colonel's PT is going very well and he's making steady progress and strengthening up his muscles! Ask to meet sweet Colonel!
Madea
ADOPTED 02/13/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Beautiful Madea found herself at a shelter looking for a new family when her previous family dropped her off there as she was chasing the cattle. So as you can see Madea will need a cow free home. She gets along with other dogs and children. She is a sweet, friendly girl who would love to once again be in a home. Please ask to meet Madea
Dixie
ADOPTED 02/13/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Dixie and her housemate Yashi found themselves in a shelter after their beloved person tragically died in a house fire. Dixie is a beautiful girl and certainly does not look or act 7 years young. She of course is very confused right now with all of the changes in her life, but with time she should settle in to her new life. As the girls are new to us so we are still learning more about them. Please watch for updates.
Updates:Upon exam by our vet, they have determined that Dixie is approx 4 years old not 7 years old, as originally reported.
Dixie has been in her foster home for a couple of week now and is really coming out of her shell. She greets her foster parents with hugs and kisses. When she's in the backyard, she likes to run a lap or two, then runs to her foster parents and gives a kiss or two and then she's off to run another lap. She is super cute! Dixie is great on a leash and she's working on her obedience commands, as they need a little attention, but we have no doubt at all that she'll catch on quickly. Dixie can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. This sweet girl has lots of energy and will make a great companion for her new family. If Dixie sounds like a good fit, please ask to meet her.
Hemlock
ADOPTED 02/06/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Hemlock was very much loved by his family but his owner was deployed and his family looked to MAGSR to find Hemlock a loving and caring home. He is a beautiful boy who is very friendly with everyone he meets. He loves to play fetch, Frisbee and loves to cuddle. He has carpus valgus in his left front joint. It has been established that this condition most commonly occurs in rapidly growing medium to large breed dogs. Some evidence suggests male puppies are more likely to be affected by this condition. This condition does not stop Hemlock from running and playing and having fun. If you can provide this handsome boy a loving home please ask to meet Hemlock today.
Snowball
ADOPTED 02/06/2016!

Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Snowball is an 8 week old male GSD who was surrendered to MAGSR by his owner. Snowball is the cutest thing ever. Snowball has a lot to learn about going a good canine citizen and will require training. Please remember that puppies may be ten to twelve year commitment, and they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, guidance and training, Snowball will become even more of an amazing boy than he already is. Please inquire if Snowball like a good match for your family.

Yashi
ADOPTED 02/05/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Yashi and her housemate Dixie found themselves in a shelter after their beloved person tragically died in a house fire. Yashi can be kennel/crate reactive when people approach, but outside of her crate she has been friendly with those she met. Yashi is not for the first time German Shepherd family, she will require an experienced person who can keep her mind exercised as well as her body. Even though she lived with Dixie before, we are finding that right now Yashi is not doing well with other dogs. As the girls are new to us so we are still learning more about them. Please watch for updates.
Pax
ADOPTED 02/05/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Pax was found in the street and was almost hit by a car, luckily his guardian angel stopped and Pax jumped right into her car. After his stray hold was up at the shelter and he was not reclaimed his guardian angel reclaimed him and surrendered him to us. Pax will require training as do all of our dogs. Training is very helpful with creating a bond with their new family and teaching them good canine manners. If you are interested in visiting with Pax please let us know.
KC

Good With Kids: Yes

Lord was surrendered through no fault of his own, as his family no longer had time for him. Lord is a good boy who was raised with two young children. Lord is now lucky to be with MAGSR because we'll help him find his future home. If you feel Lord may be a good fit in your family, please ask to meet him.
Buster
ADOPTED 02/05/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Buster was running as a stray and ended up at a shelter. Buster is a good pup, lucky enough to have made his way to MAGSR who will help him. Buster is now looking to start his new life. Buster chases cats - when tested by our volunteers, he showed some interest, but walked away each time. However, Buster is a definite "no" for goats - he doesn't like them much at all. If you feel Buster may be a good fit in your family, please ask to meet him.

Gigi
ADOPTED 01/31/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Gigi found herself in a scary shelter waiting for someone to come along and save her. She is now safe in our care waiting for a forever family to come along. She is very friendly and should make a nice addition to most any family. Ask to meet Gigi.
Updates:Gigi has been settling nicely into her foster home - she is beginning to relax and show her puppy ways that she really couldn't while battling for survival as a stray. She would be a great fit for a single person or couple who want their first pet to spoil like crazy. Gigi has learned to play with a ball and is truly a delight to be around. She's not the best around other dogs and would probably be best in a home without other dogs. Gigi is such a friendly girl with people and will be a wonderful family dog for someone, and she will need someone who will understand and have patience working with her distrust and fear towards other dogs. If Gigi sounds like a good fit for you, please ask to meet her.

Chevy
ADOPTED 01/31/2016!
Good With Kids: Older kids, over 16
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Chevy along with his siblings Jordan and Charlie are the pups of a purebred white female GSD and dad is a white GSD/Lab mix. Both parents are very friendly. Sadly these pups have been living in a barn so they are not use to the normal day to day sights and sounds. While they are frightened when experiencing new things, they remain very sweet, they just look for reassurance from their people. Yes they have a lot to learn and they need to become comfortable with their surroundings, but being in a home with guidance and love will help them tremendously. Training of course will help them build their confidence and teach them to be good canine citizens.
Please remember that puppies are a lot of work, they need a lot of attention and a watchful eye. They will get into things, chew things and have accidents in the house, so please be sure that you have the time and patience and are able to make a commitment for the next 12-14 years.
Updates:Chevy is a handsome white German shepherd and yellow lab mix who loves people. For an 8-9 month old puppy who is still growing and learning to appreciate the comforts of a loving indoor home, as long as you walk him 1-2 times a day, he is surprisingly mellow inside the house and takes a long morning and afternoon nap. He loves to cuddle and loves belly rubs if you're offering but will otherwise just follow you around and typically lay at your feet or close by. His favorite thing to chew is antlers but err on the side of caution and keep your shoes in the closet until he outgrows being a puppy! He loves to play fetch; squeaky tennis balls thrown with the "Chuckit!" ball launcher might be his favorite. He is a quick and eager learner; he heels when walking, sits when you stop (while walking), responds correctly to "sit", "down", "paw" and has been taught to stay in a "down" position beside the stairs (in sight but approx 10 ft away) when we meet anyone at the door. He is house trained and sleeps quietly through the night until you wake up. He has quickly deduced that food comes from the kitchen but will wait patiently outside the kitchen if you are in there and does not beg for food. He likes car rides. He is slowly getting better with separation anxiety but for the moment, while he is happy to be in his crate while anyone is home, he prefers to be a puppy-proof room when he's alone. While Chevy warms up to people almost instantly and gently seeks them out (sometimes slightly leaning in to them for a pet but never charging, jumping up or licking anyone), he does not seek out the attention of small children and can be uneasy around them. The perfect home for Chevy would have owners that like to walk/run/hike at least once a day, love to play fetch, love a constant companion/shadow whether they are inside or working in the yard and are home more often than not.
Gretchen
ADOPTED 01/30/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Gretchen was surrendered to a shelter after being with her family for 4 years as she was not getting along with the cats or small dog. Gretchen has gone through some training and was also being trained in search and rescue. Gretchen is very friendly and loves people. She would do best in a home with no small animals as they are just too tempting. An active family that enjoys going for walks/runs, lots of playtime and mental stimulation are best suited for Gretchen. Ask to meet this beautiful girl.
Excalibur
ADOPTED 01/30/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Excalibur is a large, handsome and energetic boy. It is obvious that no one has spent anytime teaching him manners, nor did they do any type of training. He is excitable which causes him to jump up, due to his size we feel he would not do well sharing his home with small children. Training is an absolute must, as this will help him learn good manners and will also help with the bonding process. A person who will offer him guidance, lots of exercise and on going training would best suit his needs. He is very friendly with people, but may be too high energy for some. He is good with large dogs, but would prefer to not share his home with small dogs or cats.
Kylie
ADOPTED 01/28/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes, older kids
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Kylie is a beautiful, high-energy girl. Kylie can be mouthy when playing and will need some training, but she is precious and has a ton of potential. If you feel you can commit to Kylie and give her the training she needs, and feel she may be a good fit in your family, please ask to meet her.
Updates:Kylie is an energetic and lovable girl. Her outgoing yet incredibly friendly personality seems to win over everyone she meets. Kylie has been living in a foster home for about a week now and has surprised her foster family with all of the commands she knows. Kylie has high-ball drive and is willing to do just about anything to play. She will sit, lay down, and out on command, particularly when a ball or wubba kong is involved. In addition to knowing a few commands, Kylie is also housebroken and crate trained. It's nice to have so many basics already in place. Currently, Kylie is living with both male and female shepherds. She greatly enjoys the presence of the other dogs and is learning the routines of the household. Although exposed to cats, Kylie shows a little too much interest and would likely not be a match for a home with cats. As a smart and loving shepherd, Kylie is looking for a household that will continue to provide her with the guidance and leadership skills a young, energetic dog needs. If Kylie sounds like a good match for your household, ask to meet her
Kenley
ADOPTED 01/26/2016!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Kenley is a strikingly beautiful black GSD. She is a big girl, a little overweight but nothing a diet and exercise won't help. As with all dogs Kenley will require training - this will help her learn good manners and what is expected of her. We don't know much more about her history, but our volunteers are working on getting to know her better.
Updates:Kenley is an amazing girl and full of life. She has lost some much needed pounds and is a currently a healthy weight. Kenley is a kennel favorite among our volunteers. She is 4 years old but don't let her age fool you. She runs and plays like a 2 year old and gives our volunteers a run for their money. She is very active, loves to run and play with her Jolly ball. She knows all her basic commands and has good leash manners. It is a known fact that black dogs stay in shelters longer and take longer to adopt. This has been the case with sweet Kenley. It is heartbreaking. She has been living in a kennel situation for some time now and would love to be back in a home with a family that can give her the love and attention that she deserves. Please ask to meet Kenley today.
Hello future family! I'm Kenley and I'm loving my foster home - it's much nicer than being in the kennel. Mostly because I have a couch to sleep on when my foster mom watches the TV. I get to go with my foster mom everywhere, since I'm tied to her waist! Yesterday we went on a hike with 3 other dogs! I'm not a fan of dogs but I'm getting used to being around them without getting too stressed out. I'm actually sleeping a few feet away from one right now. I love being in my crate after a hike or after my foster mom does some training with me every day. I go right to sleep when I get in there and the only noise I make is when I'm excited to see you come closer or when I wake up in the morning and it's time for breakfast. I howl softly to let you know I'm hungry in the morning and I looove food! And I love training because it means I get treats! But my foster mom cheats and cuts the treats in half because I'm on something called a "diet". I'm slowly learning how to spell too! I get so excited when someone spells b-a-l-l!! That's my favorite! Next to food, of course. The only way I'll drop the ball is when food is involved. My foster mom is working on that with me now. You should come see me sometime! I'd love to show you my ball, and my food, and go on a hike with you, and then cuddle on the couch with you when it's time to relax. My foster mom says I'm really good at something called "cuddling" and says I'm soft! Come see for yourself! Food and balls (same thing as love right?), Kenley Rourke
ADOPTED 01/18/2016!

Not all dogs are lucky enough to come from a loving household. Rourke came to MAGSR after being thrown out of a moving vehicle. Fortunately, a good Samaritan witnessed this atrocity and immediately went to help. She took Rourke in and helped him find his way to MAGSR. Although he had a rough start, Rourke is a sweet dog. He looks for guidance from his handler and picks up expectations quickly. Rourke already knows a few commands and with time and training will certainly pick-up more. At this time, Rourke is living in a foster home with other dogs. He seems to greatly enjoy pack life and is very comfortable with his foster siblings. If Rourke sounds like a good fit for your family, please ask to meet him.
Sadie
ADOPTED 01/17/2016!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Sweet Sadie was loved by her late person who, sadly, passed away. Sadie ended up in a shelter with no where to call home, she is now in our care waiting for a new home and family. Sadie is over weight, she is on a diet and with daily exercise she will have her girly figure back in no time. She has been sweet and gentle, easy to handle. Sadie currently is being treated for a skin, ear and eye infection which should clear up with the medications she was prescribed. If you are looking for a calmer more laid gal, then Sadie is your girl. Won't you give Sadie the chance to know the comforts of a home and the love of her own family.

Happy to go for walks, playtime and of course hanging with his family. If you are looking for a dog that will not be as big as your average size Shepherd then Ian is your boy.

Marcus found himself at a shelter after his person passed away. It is evident that he was well cared for and loved. He is good with other dogs both large and small and he lived with a small dog in his previous home. Marcus would prefer not to share his home cats, they are just too enticing. He is friendly and well mannered. Marcus is ready to begin his new life, please ask to meet him.

Loki is a middle aged boy looking for his forever home and family. He was very confused as to why he landed in a shelter, but was overjoyed when he was sprung. He seems to have a calm demeanor, more of a laid back boy. Are you ready to open your heart and home....if so please ask to meet Loki.

Shannon is a girl that loves her ball, a game of fetch helps burn off some of her energy. She is very focused on her person, which will make her breeze through training classes. Shannon would do best with a GSD knowledgeable person who has experience in dealing with a high energy dog Her energy level must be met on a daily basis with walks, playtime and training.
Updates:Shannon lived with a family, they retired and decided to travel which did not include Shannon. She was then dumped at a shelter. One of the shelter volunteers took Shannon under her wing and started working with her. Shannon knows sit, down, and paw. When playing fetch she will return the ball, drop it between your legs and wait for you to throw it again and again. She is great around people and children 8+. We haven't tested her around younger ones. She loves to play better than any dog I've ever met. She is a quick learner, and has phenomenal focusing powers. You can just see in her eyes and behavior that she wants to please and receive attention and petting. She loves to be brushed.

Ren was surrendered to a shelter when his family could no longer afford to keep him. He is a sweet boy and very confused. He is reported to be housebroke, trustworthy in the home, good with other dogs and previously lived with children. He rides quietly in the car.
Ren is looking for his forever family - could that be you?

Trinity, along with her housemate, Apollo, were abandoned by their family. They were in a temporary foster home and they never came back for them. They are now both looking for families who will care for them for the rest of their lives. They do not have to remain together as both are quite content separated from one another. We know in her previous home she lived with children but we do not know how she got along with them. A good training program to help her learn some good dog manners and what her new family expects of her is in order. Both Trinity and Apollo will need a home with no small animals as they are just too tempting.
Kylene

Kaz, Kylene and Kyrie are siblings. All three dogs were turned into a shelter. All are very nice dogs. Kylene is a little frightened by her new surroundings but warms up when she is with her siblings. She is learning some leash manners and enjoys walks with her brother and sister.
Updates:Kaz and Kylene have been in foster together for a week and both are bonded. Kylene gains much of her confidence from Kaz and vice versa. They love each other's company. They are both pretty laid back but enjoy their evening walks. Although neither had leash manners they have improved in the short time they have been in foster. Kaz is protective of his sister and always walks on the outside of Kylene herding her in and often checking in with his handler. They enjoy car rides, marrow bones, peanut butter kongs, and Naps!!! Often they are found lying side by side or with Kylene sleeping on Kaz. We are working on basic commands and both take treats gently. They are housebroken and get along with other dogs. They are still settling into home life but check back for future updates.
Kaz and Kylene now affectionately known as K2 or the Dynamic Duo have been in foster for 3 months and have proven to be the sweetest pair. Both have pefected their leash manners and have learned their basic obedience commands. They travel frequently with thier foster to various events and are great car ride companions. They have been socialized in large groups of people and dogs. They love to spot squirrels while out on walks but correct easily. This brother and sister share a bond that is very special which is why they should to be adopted together. They are the two most laid back dogs that enjoy being with each other and their person. They both aim to please their handler and are affectionate, attentive, calm, and loving. If you're looking to welcome a dog into your heart why not consider Kaz and Kylene.
My foster mom says I am just a bundle of joy, I will give kisses upon first meeting you and from there after. I have a favorite toy "lamb chop" I carry everywhere with me, my foster mom calls it my "baby." I respond to mom saying "Kylene get your baby." I will play fetch but only with my "baby." I am protective of my much larger brother Kaz and a bit more vocal when meeting new dogs. I am the guardian of the door and anybody who walks by the patio knows that this is my home. I greet mom everyday without fail waiting at the patio door for her to get home. I am tail wags and wiggles when mom gets in and I always bring her my "baby" lamb chop. I will insist to be pet while foster mom is on the couch and after I sit pretty mom will give me plenty of petting. My bedtime routine involves snuggling up close to mom on the bed and I will gently lay my head on her. Once I have gotten my fill of head strokes I will sometimes roll over and curl up in a ball to sleep other times I will accompany my brother Kaz in the family room to fall asleep for the night. Foster mom says I am a faithful companion where you go I go......I would love to find a forever home to shower my "people" with love. Spirit

Spirit along with her sisters Joy, Merry and Noel were confiscated due to neglect. These girls are so shy and unsure of the world around them, everything seems new to them. It is obvious no one spent time with them. Although they are shy and can be skittish when they are unsure, they have never shown any signs aggression, they try to hide or duck behind their person. Time, love, committment and patience will help them conquer their fears. A loving patient home is what in is order, could that home be yours?
Updates:Spirit is a special girl. Having limited experiences with people, sounds, and the general happenings of everyday life, she requires a home that will work with her on a daily basis to build her confidence. Everything is new and intimidating to Spirit at this time; however, in her foster home she has begun taking small steps in the right direction. Spirit is very well behaved on leash. She regularly checks in with the handler and looks for guidance when encountering new people and sounds. Looking for leadership Spirit is drawn toward confidence and will follow lead well. Currently living with both cats and dogs, Spirit seems most at ease with her furry companions. She does well with both large and small animals and is curious but gentle with all furry creatures she encounters in the community. Although comfortable with furry creatures, Spirit needs time and patience when meeting new people. Fast movements and noises can be very intimidating and often result in a desire to run. As a result, Spirit would be best placed in a quite home without young children. This will provide her with an atmosphere in which she can flourish into the amazing dog we know she will be.
Zoey

Zoey is a 3 month old female GSD who was turned in to a local shelter because she ate a rock and her family could not afford her medical care. Zoey cannot be any cuter and is absolutely a great little girl, happy go lucky and loves to give puppy kisses. Zoey has a lot to learn about going a good canine citizen and will require training. Please remember that puppies are a ten to twelve year commitment, and they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, guidance and training, Zoey will become even more of an amazing girl than she already is. Please inquire if Zoey sounds like a good match for your family.
Updates:Zoey is a fun, feisty, energetic four month old puppy. She is already crate trained, potty trained, walks well on a leash, is good with dogs, and does well in a car. She can be headstrong and mouthy, so for now, it is not recommended that she be around young children. She will require clear boundaries, a structured environment, consistent training, and patience. She loves playing with her toys and the resident dogs in her foster home. In between play time, Zoey enjoys snuggling, belly rubs, and giving kisses. She is spunky and curious and would love a family who will give her the chance to explore, play, and learn how to be a well behaved GSD.

If you are looking for a fun loving, playful boy then step on up to meet Scotland. This boy is full of life and energy, while he does need basic obedience and some brush up on his manners a good training program can help with that. He has the traits of a GSD, he can be aloof when meeting new people but given a few minutes to learn you are okay he quickly becomes friends. He is still a puppy so please be sure that you have the patience and time it takes to deal with the antics that come with a dog of this age.
