URGENT: Sweet Hali Needs Your Help 

Late last night, our brave girl Hali — a heartworm-positive rescue currently undergoing treatment — faced an unexpected emergency. She ingested a foreign object and was rushed to the Emergency Vet. The medical team has done everything possible to avoid surgery. Induce vomiting, and endoscopy were both unsuccessful.

The only option left was major surgery.

Hali is now undergoing a gastrotomy to safely remove the object from her stomach. It’s a serious procedure, especially for a dog already fighting heartworm — but Hali’s fighting spirit hasn’t wavered, and neither has ours.

This emergency was sudden and unplanned, and her medical costs have already soared into the thousands.
