MAGSR dogs rely on your generosity all year long, but...

On Giving Tuesday we ask you to do all you can to support MAGSR's mission: to rescue GSDs & mixes that have been abused, abandoned, lost, strayed, and surrendered.

We need you more than ever this year. Our 2025 donations are down and expenses are up.

This Giving Tuesday, your gift can go twice as far.  Generous MAGSR sponsors have agreed to match your first $15,000 of Giving Tuesday donations.

Here are some of the ways your gift to MAGSR will help the pups:

The MAGSR dogs are counting on you this Giving Tuesday
  • $25 - One night kennel stay for one dog
  • $60 - Flea/tick medicine for 5 dogs for one month
  • $80 - Food for one dog/month
  • $100 - Four nights in a kennel
  • $250 - Transportation cost for one dog
  • $400 - Cost to neuter one male dog
  • $600 - Cost to spay one female dog
  • $1250 - Two week board and train for one dog
  • $1500 - Average cost of heartworm treatment for one dog

And all the other unexpected and emergency costs that always come up for puppies, medical cases, special needs dogs, and all the other surprises that come along with our mission.

About Moonlight and her pups 
Not all mothers get to bring their babies into the world surrounded by love, safety, and comfort. Sadly, Moonlight and her nine puppies — affectionately known as the Island Litter — were found in a heartbreaking state: malnourished, filthy, flea-infested, and utterly neglected. Confiscated by animal control and placed in a shelter, this vulnerable family was at high risk. But thanks to the quick work of compassionate rescuers and foster volunteers, they were pulled to safety and MAGSR was able to welcome this mama and ALL of her pups to safety. From the moment Moonlight arrived in our care, her strength and sweetness has shined. Despite the suffering she endured, she remained attentive to her pups and incredibly responsive to her caregivers. With medical care, nutritious food, and gentle handling, Moonlight and her babies began to heal — body and soul. Now, the entire Island Litter has been adopted by incredible, loving families.  And as for Miss Moonlight, MAGSR has partnered with Mason Dixon K9 to help her build foundational obedience skills. She is currently working on her training, and continued structured training will be essential in helping her grow into the confident, well-balanced dog we know she can be. We could not do any of this without your donations.
