Description
The Good:
Bison is a really affectionate, loving, intelligent dog. He has been through a board & train program and knows all the basic commands (sit, down, come, heel, place, touch. paw, and stand). He is a very loyal and loving companion who seeks to please those he knows. In our house we have 2 young children and a cat and he is very patient and calm with them all. The cat will frequently claw at his nose, and he just takes it without complaint. The children climb all over him and he loves their attention. We have had him for 2 years (since he was 9/10 weeks old) and he has always been very friendly and kind to us.
Reason for Rehoming:
Bison needs a lot of work. My wife and I are expecting our 3rd child soon, and I currently work 2 full time jobs. We no longer have the time or the environment he needs to overcome, what the vet has said is essentially, PTSD. Her diagnosis was that he needs a lot of positive reinforcement training, and possibly gradual socialization. We would be incredibly sad to see our beloved family member leave our home, but we are no longer able to provide him with the attention that he needs.
Thanks for your consideration
