Dave and his buddy, Dana, were found running loose in a rural area. The dogs were brought to a shelter where they waited to be claimed. Unfortunately, no one came for them and as time passed it seemed no one wanted this special pair. Dave and Dana are a bonded pair. They rely on one another for comfort and safety. They are looking for a home that has room for two. 

Dave is a friendly guy. He arrived at the shelter emaciated but has been putting back on the much needed pounds with regular feedings. Social and curious, Dave enjoys the company of his people. Tucker's family loved him greatly but felt that they could not provide him with the life he deserved. As a result, they made the difficult decision to surrender Tucker to MAGSR. Tucker is an incredible guy. Confident, playful, and very responsive to the handler, it is highly evident that Tucker's family worked hard to help him develop into a good canine citizen. As a fun-loving guy, Tucker greatly enjoys his time playing with a ball or stuffed toys. He will keep you entertained with his antics. Having previously lived in a household, Tucker is housebroken, crate trained, and understands many of the rules of a household. However, as is true for any new dog, he will need to adjust the structure of a new household. Having previously attended training classes, Tucker knows a variety of commands. Although this is a fantastic start, Tucker will need to attend training with his new family as it will help him develop a bond. *Update* Tasha’s fosters are thrilled that this precious girl is heartworm free!  She is looking for a forever home where she can enjoy company most of the day with hugs and head-to-head snuggling.  She’s a low to moderate energy GSD and is gentle in all ways.  While she has not shown much interest in other dogs, her fosters continue to work on her socialization skills.   She enjoys walks that give her opportunities to sniff and stroll and is not affected at all by other passing dogs.   Training also continues as we all work together on basic commands.

Tasha is a survivor. After being horribly neglected, she was dumped at a vet with her two pups where the entire family was to be euthanized. Fortunately, another rescue learned of this little family's plight and was able to save them in time. Tasha's puppies were able to find families quickly. However, Tasha needed some additional care as her body had endured significant neglect. 

With the help of another rescue, Tasha was nursed back to health. She received the medical care and kindness that this beautiful girl so clearly deserved. Although Tasha has experienced cruelty at the hands of people, she remains loving and attentive. She enjoys the comforts of a soft bed and head rubs. Precious little Joshua is one of Sheena's puppies. Just like his amazing mom, Joshua is a survivor. Playful Marley was a stray who was brought into a local shelter. When no one came to claim this handsome guy, MAGSR decided to step in to help him find his forever home.

Although we do not know a lot about Marley's household manners, we do know that he is a playful and active guy. Friendly with people and dogs, Marley wins over everyone around him. In many ways Marley still has many puppy-like behaviors. Although Marley is good with kids, his playfulness and exuberance tends to cause him to knock them over. As a result, he will be best suited for a household without young children. Marley will excel with leadership and training. Training will not only help him develop into a good canine citizen but it will also help him bond with his new family. Goofy and his siblings - Goose, Grace, and Ginger - were confiscated from a puppy mill operation. They are all emaciated and in need of positive interaction. The shelter that confiscated this little family knew that these dogs would need extra support in order to find their forever homes. When MAGSR got the call to take them in, we started putting plans in place to meet their needs.

Although they have survived a horrible situation, Goofy and his siblings are very loveable dogs. Definitely a little skittish, these dogs will excel with patience, leadership, and positive experiences. Goofy is a friendly guy who appreciates gentle but confident handling. He leans in for affection and has easily won over the hearts of our volunteers. We look forward to getting to know Goofy over the next few weeks. Samme was a beloved member of her family. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen changes, they could no longer take care of her. As a result, they made the difficult decision to surrender her to MAGSR.

Samme is a stunning girl and catches the attention of everyone around her. As it true of many owner surrenders, Samme was very scared when she first joined the MAGSR family. So many changes can be confusing and upsetting. However, with the help and support of her incredible foster family, Samme is slowly gaining confidence. Very dedicated to her people, Samme is good about protecting her house and will alert if there are odd sounds in the area. Samme enjoys toys but will need toys meant for strong dogs as she does think that tearing them apart is a good time. A big fan of car rides, Samme is excited to go on adventures and does settle nicely in the car. Although Samme arrived with some basic training started, continued training is a must so that Samme can develop a bond with her new family as well as further develop her overall confidence.

Daisy and her brother Stanley found themselves in a shelter when their mom unexpectedly passed away. Daisy is quite unsure of herself and all the changes she has faced. It takes a moment for this sweet girl to trust and bond but once she does trust you, the youthful bouncy puppy antics come out. She is extremely skittish with new people and needs a family that will go slow with her to build her trust and confidence while keeping her safe. Daisy has been in her foster home for almost a week and is settling in nicely. She is a quiet girl that just wants to be close to her people. She is crate trained and done well in the home. Maverick was a cherished member of his family. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Maverick's family needed to find him a new home. Stanley and his sister Daisy found themselves in a shelter when their mom unexpectedly passed away. Stanley is an overall easy going guy; however, he needs a little time to adjust to new people as he has endured so many changes recently. After a rough start to life and difficult circumstances in another state, Rusty found his way to MAGSR six years ago. This lucky guy found a loving home with all adults quickly, but due to circumstances beyond their control, his family made the extremely difficult decision to return him to MAGSR  as they knew that we would find the home and love he deserves. Rusty is an incredible guy. This big guy has energy and intelligence to spare. As a result, he will do best in a home that can exercise both his body and his mind daily. He knows several commands and with good leadership follows through nicely. A toy guy, Rusty enjoys playing with plush toys and can be found carrying them about the house. He’s not much of a ball guy; however if given the opportunity, he will catch the ball a couple times and run around with it. 

Rusty has learned to be a gentleman in the house; he understands what is not his and doesn't get on the furniture. He also doesn’t shed much! Already crate trained, Rusty finds comfort in his crate and can often be found sleeping in his crate at night.  While not a “Velcro” dog, Rusty can usually be found in a strategic location where he can keep track of his people. Not an enthusiastic licker, when you get a kiss or affection from Rusty, you know he thinks you’re really special. Rusty has lived with an indoor-only cat for six years. In that time he has learned to leave her alone the large majority of the time. He may do well with a dog-savvy cat. Rusty’s ideal forever home would include plush toys, good exercise, and an appreciation for his intelligence.
