Harley
ADOPTED 10/30/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Harley was surrendered to us after almost being hit by a motorcycle. She is extremely skittish and a high flight risk at this time. She loves children and other dogs but adults are very scary to her and she keeps her distance from them. She is in the care of a very experienced foster family who are working with her daily and keeping her very safe from being able to flee. It will take some time for her to learn to trust adults but her fosters are up to the challenge. Harley will require an experienced person who will take the time and have the patience to continue to work with her. She will also do best in a home with another confident dog that she can learn from. Even though she adores children it is best that she not be in a home where children are coming and going as she can escape an open door. Harley is not a dog that can be outside off leash at this time, this may come with time.
Updates:
Update:Harley has been with us about a month and she progressing forward in leaps and bounds . She has done great meeting dogs big and small. Harley is an extremely active high energy girl that will do well with an active family and another active dog. She loves to chase a tennis ball and play rope tug with her fur foster brother. She is learning the do’s and don’ts of a home as she is quick to snatch shoes and put her paws on the counter as this girl has lots of puppy left in her!! This girl loves to play all day long and if not allowed to burn that energy and use her mind she could easily get herself into trouble as she is very intelligent! She is crated trained and we are working on house breaking. She was well behaved and sat patiently while she got her nails clipped. She rides excellent in the car!
Harley is a very slow intro girl and requires weeks of patience from her human before she is ready to trust you. It took her a month to trust us enough to seek affection. Harely is still a flight risk and we have to make sure we are careful as to where she is when doors are opened as she could easily slip out. Harley will have to remain leashed in a fenced yard for several weeks until she is bonded with her new family. Harley will require patience, stability, training, and lots of love. Are you the perfect family for Harley?
Bailey
ADOPTED 10/30/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Baileys person moved and could not afford the airfare to fly him to Hawaii. He was left with her family but sadly they did not take very good care of him. His person reached out to us as she wanted him away from the bad life his was living.
Bailey arrived in our care under weight, full of fleas, long nails and with no vaccines. He is having everything done at our vets and will be going into a foster home. As you can see by his face he has a worried look which is understandable. He was nervous at the vets office wanting to get away but when he realized he couldn't he laid down and hid his face. We have promised him his future will be much better, being loved and cared for. He is a gentle soul.
Star
ADOPTED 10/28/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Star came to from a shelter so we have no history for her. In our care she has been friendly and well mannered. Of course she will need training, guidance and structure from her new family, along with time to settle in to a new home.
Updates:Update: Our volunteers working at the kennel report that Star walks well on the leash with few corrections, enjoys being brushed, knows sit and down reliably especially with proper treats and isn’t overly interested in the other dogs. She met a family of four with two young children and did well around them. She is a beautiful girl and will make someone a fine companion.
Axel
ADOPTED 10/28/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Axel came to us as an owner surrender as his persons new job has her traveling frequently for work. Knowing that Axel deserved more than she could provide she put him in our care to find him a wonderful new home. Axel has lots of energy that needs to be addressed with daily exercise. Training is on the top of his list as he wants to learn good canine manners. He is young and eager to learn.
Diesel
ADOPTED 10/25/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Diesel, along with Supra, are a bonded pair. They love and enjoy each other very much. They play nicely with one another, enjoy sleeping together and even try hanging out in a crate together. They need some work on their leash skills which is being worked on. They are housebroken, ride well in the car and are crate trained. They spent a few hours in downtown Annapolis, MD and at the Naval Academy Sunday. They handled the crowds of people of varying ages well and numerous other dogs of varying sizes. They had no reaction to skateboards, motorcycles, cars, boats, or going up and down stairs. Diesel enjoys playing fetch with a ball and Supra enjoys chasing Diesel as he goes for the ball. They truly are wonderful, easy, good temperaments and enjoy affection. We feel it is in their best interest to be adopted together, so if you have room in your heart and home for this duo please ask to meet them

Shiloh
ADOPTED 10/25/2017!
Good With Kids: No
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Shiloh was returned to us as his family is going through life altering changes and can no longer provide for him as needed. However, he was very much loved by them and he was very attached to them. Upon Shiloh's return, he showed signs of being reactive to strangers and protective of his family. He was also reactive to other dogs. However, he was very friendly, comfortable with and trusting of his family and their bond was evident. He is currently with a reputable trainer so that he can become better socialized and we will provide further updates as we get them from the trainer.
Reese
ADOPTED 10/24/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
This handsome boy was surrendered to us as the other male dog in the home was not getting along with him. Reese is now in a foster home living with both male & female dogs of varying sizes, children and cats. He is good with the larger dogs but is too fixated on the smaller dog and cats. Reese we believe is a senior, 7 years or older, he will be seen by our vet to try to determine his age. He certainly has the energy of a younger dog, he enjoys going for walks and romping around the yard. He a little stiff when first getting up, but once on his feet he has no lameness or stiffness and gets around just fine.
Cyrus
ADOPTED 10/22/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Cyrus is very puppylike. He does know how to sit and give paw. But he needs general obedience. He is a fun, smaller guy that would greatly benefit from group training so that he learns how to socially interact with other dogs.
He loves people. He loves to play fetch with a ball and is eager to explore new things. He likes car rides, is very food motivated and is eager to please his person.
He will need someone with patience and time to teach him right from wrong. Because he's a little grabby and hard on the fingers when it comes to taking treats, he might be better suited in a household without toddlers or very young children.
Updates:Cyrus is progressing nicely! With regards to his behavior, he is learning what is expected and what is not permitted. He's a fun, charismatic, exuberant pup. We have been socializing him with Sherman (another MAGSR dog) and they get along quite well, reason being that Sherman is a calm, confident, socialized dog. This would be an ideal time for Cyrus to get into a foster home or adoptive home and to start obedience training as he is showing the wilingness to focus on commands and tasks.
Just recently, Cyrus’ manners have improved a lot and he is really showing signs of maturing. He is now being worked with another socialized, well balanced dog and behaving himself very nicely. He is also taking treats much better and his focus is continuing to improve. In addition to this, he was just recently introduced to several people he did not know including children and we are very proud of the way he conducted himself.
He is an awesome dog. He is happy to be with his people and a playful goofy puppy. He loves marrow bones with peanut butter and playing with toys in general. He also loves to give HUGS! He does better in a vari-kennel as opposed to a wire crate. He has not had any accidents in the house. We are working through his crate anxiety. We play music for him, have used lavender in the room to soothe him and calming treats bought at Pet Value and we have not had issues with him breaking out of our crate. He absolutely loves car rides and meeting new people! He does have some bad habits such as counter surfing but he easily corrects. He does still need strong guidance as he does tend to want to push him limits as he is a young male full of life!!
Shadow
ADOPTED 10/21/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Shadow found himself looking for a new family and home as his person is terminally ill. Shadow is a gentle giant, full of playfulness and love to share with a new family. He is settling into his foster home and doing well. He requires training, as do all dogs. Training teaches good canine manners and creates a bond with his new family. Ask to meet this stunning boy.
Cooper
ADOPTED 10/21/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Cooper was saved from horrible conditions where he lived wth the breeder. He was the last left of a litter and unwanted because he is deaf. His guardian angel saved him and surrendered him to us to find his forever home with a family that will cherish him regardless of the fact he is deaf. Training a deaf dog can be done wth hand signals and a vibration collar. He is adorable, full of life, puppy playfulness and antics.
Oliver
ADOPTED 10/18/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Oliver found himself in a shelter after he was picked up as a stray. He is sweet, handsome boy who is looking for a forever family and home. He is somewhat shy right now, but who can blame him with the recent changes he has been through. Training will help him build confidence, learn good manners and bond with his family.
Updates:Some dogs simply have a special something about them. Oliver is one of those dogs. Coming into MAGSR as a stray, Oliver clearly hadn't experienced the type of life he so clearly deserves. He lacked socialization and the proper care all dogs need. Since his arrival this impressive boy has made incredible strides in a short amount of time. In his foster home Oliver has had the opportunity to become both housebroken and crate trained. He has discovered the joy of toys and will even entertain himself. Having entered into a large pack, Oliver has adjusted fantastically to the male and female foster fur siblings with which he currently lives. His easy-going and somewhat submissive personality have helped him easily adjust to pack life in the home.
Oliver's fosters are working with him daily to develop his leash manners as well as gain experience with the outside world. They are impressed with how quickly he is learning about and adjusting to the world around him. Although Oliver continues to need some time when warming up to new people, his sweet and playful personality slowly shines through. We are sure that Oliver will thrive in a patient household that will provide him with the guidance and training all dogs need in order to become good canine citizens. If Oliver sounds like a great addition to your family, please inquire about him today.
Oliver was returned to MAGSR because he was protective of his human and home and his family would not put him away when guests were over. Oliver also was out unsupervised, jumped the fence and had gotten loose numerous times and had many unsupervised field trips around the city, sometimes not returning for hours. Oliver was not managed properly and he is lucky to still be alive. Oliver needs someone who will work with him to keep him contained and manage him by putting him away in a secure room and/or crate when people come to the home. If your willing to give Oliver a try, please ask to meet him.
Oliver has had his world turned upside down the last couple of weeks. Oliver is a big softie and loves belly and butt rubs. Since his return to MAGSR, Oliver has been friendly with everyone he's met. He can be stubborn too when given commands, but our volunteers are working with him on this. Oliver needs someone who will commit to him, keep him contained and work with him. Could that someone be you?
Oliver has settled in nicely with his foster family and established a quick bond, especially with his foster mom. Oliver’s calm and charming personality make him a great company. No potty training needed; he lets you know when, and handles his foster parent’s 8-9 hour workday without a hitch. Oliver is fully house-trained and house-friendly – he remains calm in the house, does not bother any home items, and is trained to not get on any furniture. He is not a chewer and is not even interested in chew toys. He is sharing the house with a 12 year old Irish Wolfhound mix who has admittedly been a grumpy, jealous, and competitive pest to Oliver, but Oliver has been calm and cool throughout. They get better every day, and the humans enjoy seeing them snoozing side-by-side by the fireplace.
Oliver is a terrific walker. Well behaved, willing to stay at heel/left. He pays zero attention to the other neighborhood dogs with underground fences, even when they charge towards him. When walking through a familiar neighborhood, he has excellent leash manners. When hiking in a park or through the woods, the new sites and smells are far too exciting and some leash corrections are needed as he much prefers to roam and explore. He is an enthusiastic runner but is perfectly happy with just a walk too. Oliver is also great in a vehicle and long trips are not an issue, but he needs some work to get in, which should improve with practice, time, patience and commitment.
This sweet pup is a keen observer and a quick learner. He knows “sit”, “down”, “wait” (letting his human go through doors first), and his foster parents are working with him to be more consistent with “come.” He responds very well to calm approaches and positive praise; less so to assertive commands, as he is stubborn. He is eager to make his foster mom happy and pays attention to what will earn him praise. It should be noted that Oliver is an impressively skilled escape artist, which can be managed with additional security measures (not relying on a simple door latch or crate closure; locks over any basic latches). While he does not get into anything in the house, he is motivated to get out of enclosures. The foster family persists with crate training as all of MAGSR’s fosters do, but Oliver much prefers the extra space in the mud room. He also seems perfectly fine with the run of the whole house. He prefers learning and working over playing. The foster family has found much humor in Oliver’s attempts to outsmart them. The chess match with Oliver is a great deal of fun. If Oliver sounds like a good fit for your future, please ask to meet him!
Oliver cannot seem to catch a break. He has been returned as his adopters have decided he will not make it as a service dog. The adopters were told upfront that he most likely would not be suitable as a service dog, but they assured us they would keep him no matter what. Well, they failed Oliver and he is now back with us looking for a forever family.
Adele
ADOPTED 10/18/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Adele came to us from a shelter where she found herself with her 2 pups, Sommer and Faye. Adele is somewhat unsure of the changes in her life, but she is in the care of a loving a foster who will assure her that she is safe and life will be good from now on. She will need time to adjust to a new family, along with confidence building. Training will of course help with this and create a bond with her family. Please ask to meet this petite beauty.
Updates:Adele is a happy sweet girl, quiet in her crate and a pleasure to have outside - loves her walks around the farm, exploring all that is so new to her. She is brave and curious, willing to greet the horses and walk into the barn, up and down stairs, and through the fields. She is also very alert and a careful watcher without being barky or noisy. She was very friendly at the vet’s office and happy to see the other dogs coming and going. Adele deserves a loving home and will be a wonderful addition to a family, where she can settle in and bond with every family member. Adele will be the dog of a lifetime for some lucky family.
Mo (FKA Amos)
ADOPTED 10/17/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Amos was found as a stray with an embedded collar which had to be surgically removed. He is healing nicely. Amos is a big 10 month old puppy with lots of puppy energy and antics. He is a happy, playful boy always looking for something to do. It's obvious that no one has spent time teaching him good puppy manners. He likes to greet people by jumping up on them, playing chase and keep away and has no leash skills. Training and structure will help Amos learn what is expected of him. If you love to jog, go for long walks and spend time helping Amos burn his energy he would be a great fit.

Sweet, adorable Buck was surrendered to us after he had been dumped at someone's home. We have no idea what he is mixed with other than pure cuteness. It has such a unique look. We have no idea how this puppy ended up being dumped and don't know why someone would do that.
He is settling in to his foster home.

Swemi walks nicely on a leash.

Gabriel, puppy to a female GSD and male Great Pyrenees, was dumped at a shelter. Gabriel cannot be any cuter and is absolutely a great little boy, happy go lucky and loves to give puppy kisses. Gabriel has a lot to learn about going a good canine citizen and will require training. Please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family - puppies are a 10-12 year commitment. Puppies are full of energy and can be mischievous – they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, guidance and training, Gabriel will become even more of an amazing boy than he already is. If interested and he sounds like a good match for your family, please submit an adoption application for Gabriel!

Our volunteers cannot say enough good things about Elke. She is beautiful, sweet, enjoys humans and well mannered. It is obvious that someone spent time with her as she is obedient and is always checking in with her person looking for direction. She walks pretty good on a leash and will lean into her person.
Jixer
ADOPTED 10/07/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Jixer found himself in a shelter needing some to spring him and that we did. He is a nice friendly boy who gets along with other dogs he has met. This handsome boy is looking for a commitment for his lifetime from his new family. A life full of love, proper care, and of course training.
Updates:We have learned more about Jixer and his past. He was surrendered to the shelter after a family member convinced his family that they were not properly caring for him. He had lived his life on a chain in a circle of dirt. He has never lived in a home and has had no training. Jixer has a lot of energy that will need to be channeled and work with. He will need to learn house manners and of course good obedience training.
Jixer is no couch potato and will require an active family who can keep his energy level in check with both physical and mental exercise.

This sweet girl found herself as a stray which landed her in a shelter. They estimated her to be a year old but her mannerisms are that of a younger dog. She is full of puppy playfulness, kisses, and tail wags. She loves the water and will entertain you as she chases the splashing water around in the pool. Cammy will make a great furry family member and with training, things will get even better.

Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Oscar is the litter mate to Sargeant. He was purchased from the breeder when he was 8 weeks old. His former person has kept outside 24/7. He is a friendly boy, but is lacking in manners as he has had no guidance from his humans. Thankfully we were able to rescue Oscar from living outside with no human interaction. Oscar will need a family who has the patience to deal with a 1 year old puppy who is a blank slate. He will require a commitment from his family to take him to training and guide him to be the best he can be. He has so much to learn, but with the smarts of a GSD he should catch on in no time.

Lars came to us as an owner surrender sadly after his former family got a puppy to replace him. Well it was his lucky day as it is obvious that Lars had not been well cared for. Upon his arrival his fur was filthy, skin dry and missing patches of fur. This gentle boy is now receiving vet care and proper nutrition along with supplements. It is obvious he did not live indoors and most likely was kept on a hard rough surface as he does calloused elbows. Lars deserves a family that will show him what having a real family is all about. A comfortable bed, good nutrition, proper care and lots love.

Sebastian
ADOPTED 10/01/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Sebastian found himself in a shelter hoping someone would give him the chance at a second life. He was heartworm positive but has undergone treatment. He is somewhat unsettled with all of the changes in his life, but with time he will settle in.
Updates:Sebastian warms up to people quickly, he follows you wherever you go, and lays down near you, and craves attention all the time. He does have separation issues, needs a secure crate until he gets over his separation issues. He is housebroken, does know basic commands but needs more training. He seems good around kids. He does interact well with other dogs. At night time, if you're around, he does go into his crate and stays there all night with no issues.
Sebastian has settled in nicely to the household routine. He is a sweet, easy-going, well-behaved dog. He enjoys a game of fetch as well as just chilling out close to his favorite human. He welcomes attention and cuddles, and does not like getting left behind. He knows basic commands but could use some reinforcement. He walks well on a leash, will pull when excited but correct easily. He is anxious to make friends with every dog and human he meets. He will make a great companion for someone who has the time to give him.

Rainee made her way to us after finding herself in a shelter, we have no idea why this beautiful girl ended up there. She just arrived in our care so we still are getting to know her. She has been friendly with the people she has met and seems to want to please. Of course she will need to go to training with her new family so that she can be a well behaved family member.
Updates:Rainee is a delightful young dog. She’s quite the “head turner,” so very beautiful and very good natured. At about 2 years old she still has an abundance of “puppy” energy, and like all young dogs can be a bit rambunctious, easily distracted, and cautious in new situations that confuse her, but she is very responsive and learns quickly. She is working on her basic commands (although “down” can still often slip into “rub my belly”!), crates beautifully, has not had any accidents in the house, and has been getting along nicely with the other dogs in the structured environment in her foster home. Miss Rainee is a real gem – a “diamond in the rough” that is waiting for her family to find her and give her the care, training, and love she needs to reach her full potential. Please ask to meet Rainee if that might be you!

Beautiful Gypsy has arrived and is looking for a family who will properly care for her. She was picked up as a stray and taken to the shelter, her family was notified but when they found out she was heartworm positive they no longer wanted her. We will be sure that she receives treatment for heartworm. Had she been kept on monthly heartworm prevention this would have been avoided. Gypsy seems to be a well mannered girl with a nice energy level. This beautiful girl is looking for a family who will properly care for and provide for her the rest of her life.
Updates:Gypsy is quite the lady of the house! She’s obviously spent time indoors and understands that toilets are for drinking water until she knows where the water bowl is, couches are soft spots to lie on unless you don’t allow that, and very important - she’s knows to go potty outside. She doesn’t pull much on the leash and she’s had some training as she knows sit, paw and down. Like most self respecting pups, she would like to chase those pesky squirrels but we’re limiting her physical activity so we can treat her heart worm. Luckily they come to entertain her on the deck. She is pretty calm and laid back for a three year old. She takes treats gently and isn’t food aggressive with the resident senior pup. If you’re looking for love, this beauty is for you. She’s looking for her forever person - could it be you?
Guinness

Good With Kids: Yes, older kids

Guinness had a rough start in life. He lived with 7 Children that were allowed to torment, tease and hit him. The adults punished him with a shock collar at full strength, hit him in the face, sprayed water at him, put him in a crate that was much too small for him or chained outside. Guinness is with a caring foster who is working with him as he learns to trust humans, especially when it comes to his food and toys. He is loving and friendly but does require positive training and interaction. He enjoys playing and going for walks which of course helps burn off some of that puppy energy.
Updates:Guinness is doing quite well at his foster home. Foster doesn't have any issues with food aggression and does just fine in the right size crate. Does well in car and walks well on leash. He loves playing with other dogs and plays well with toys and bones. Still can be hesitant if approached too quickly, but no aggression. Does well around other people as long as they approach gently. He is great with older kids unknown for young children. Still learning to trust people again.

Tesla came to us from a shelter so we have no history on him. He is a young 1 1/2 year old handsome boy who is looking for his forever family and home. He needs some work on his manners and obedience training, but he's a smart boy so he should pick things up quickly. Structure and guidance from his new family, along with lots of exercise will of course be required.

Sommer we believe is a Shusky (German Shepherd Husky mix) with beautiful blue eyes. She found herself in a shelter along with her mom Adele and sister Faye. She is somewhat shy but her foster is working with her on building her confidence. Training with her new family will help a lot with this, along with socialization. She is looking for her forever home with a family who show her love. Please remember that she is a puppy and will require patience and commitment from her family.
Updates:Sommer is doing well adjusting in her new home. She can be timid at times but a structured routine helps her to build trust. She is working on her bathroom schedule but she is coming along very well.
She becomes a very different puppy when outside that is very eager to chase and play.
She is a stunner and she deserves a great forever home.

We have no idea why Ellie found herself in a shelter other than her former family dumped her there, but we do know she was very scared. She is in a loving foster home now living the good life. Once comfortable in her new surroundings she comes out of her shell and enjoys running around playing. Ellie needs to gain some weight. Please consider Ellie as your next furry family member, she really needs the security of a forever home.
Updates:Ellie is sweet and smart! She’s a bit shy and timid at first and needs time to warm up to you but once she does, she is a love bug. She likes treats and belly rubs. She would be a couch potato if permitted, if not, a soft dog bed will do her just fine. She is completely house broken! She hasn’t had much if any training but she is smart and corrects easily. She is pretty calm and mellow most of the time. She doesn’t object when I look in her ears or check out her paws. She is good around other dogs and would enjoy a companion. She is very gentle when taking treats and sits for her food. She isn’t kid tested but I suspect she would be the perfect lady around them. She rides well in the car. She has a fabulous curly tail and prances like a thoroughbred - check out the video. If you are looking for a sweet, lovable companion and have time to train her - Ellie is your girl. All she needs is gentle guidance and she’s happy to please.

Logan was purchased off of Craigslist, when the purchaser met him she was appalled by his condition. She immediately reached out to rescue to get Logan the help he needed.
At only 4 months old it was obvious he had been living in a filthy outdoor pen. His smell was very foul, fur was filthy, he had a very round belly and carpal subluxation of all 4 limbs.
He was immediately seen by a vet, his fecal came back with severe hookworms and treatment was started. Sadly 2 days later Logan became quite ill, he was rushed back to the vet where he was diagnosed with parvovirus.
This sweet pup is now fighting for his life in the ICU at the vet hospital. Please keep Logan in your thoughts and prayers.

Comanche's family was moving and couldn't take him with them luckily. He was not well cared for, he lived in a muddy outdoor pen and had not been to a vet. Comanche is your typical young pup that needs training and guidance. He needs to learn that jumping up to greet people is not acceptable and he also needs to learn leash manners. This of course will come along with consistency and training. Comanche has lots of puppy energy that will need to be properly directed. This handsome boy is looking for a family who will commit to his training, provide a lifetime of care and of course lots of walks and playtime.

Harmony was found as a stray and ended up in a shelter. She is missing a rear paw which appears to be from an old injury. This does not slow her down, she can run and play as well as any 4 pawed dog. She is friendly and very much enjoys a good belly rub. Harmony will need training to help her overcome her dislike of vacuums, hairdryers, etc. This can be easily dealt with by putting her away when these items are in use and of course ongoing training. Harmony will make a loving companion for a very lucky family.
Updates:Sweet Miss Harmony is a friendly little cuddle bug.
Though she is small, she is mighty… Cute. If you're looking for a dog to guard your home, keep looking. Harmony greets everyone she sees with her belly exposed ready for rubs and snuggles.
She is doing well in her foster home. She enjoys attention from children and is getting along with the resident dog. She established boundaries with him letting him know that she doesn't like to roughhouse. Harmony would happily live with another dog but she would be just as happy to be an only dog. She is looking for somewhere that she can be spoiled rotten.
Harmony would not do well in a home with cats. She has a strong prey drive and cats are just way too much fun. She also likes chasing animals when she is outside. Even though she small she can create a significant impact at the end of her leash when she sees a squirrel. So it's important to always be on the lookout and have a good grasp on her leash.
Harmony is learning to respond to her name. She does not come when she's called yet. However once you have her attention she has learned how to sit. She also understands to come and drop it but she does not consistently follow it, yet. Harmony is doing very well with housebreaking her last accident was at the door where we leave to go for walks. So she has figured it out.
Harmony does not mind being crated during the day while the family is at work/school. She even goes in her crate from time to time when people are home to relax. She would prefer to go to a home where somebody lets her sleep on a dog bed on the floor in their room.
Harmony is missing a hind paw for reasons that are unknown to us. However, she has no trouble walking, running, climbing steps, navigating tree branches etc. on a walk. In fact, we're pretty sure Harmony doesn't know her paw is missing. So please don't tell her when you meet her.

Shane and his brother Sean are as cute as can be. We know mom is a GSD but we have no idea what breed dad was. These cute little bundles of joy have so much too learn and will require a patient family who can handle all that comes with puppy love. They will have accidents, they will chew and get into things they shouldn't, they will keep you up at night and require ongoing socialization with other dogs and people. Puppy training is a great start to a well behaved pup. Please be sure you able to make a commitment to him for his lifetime.
