Odin
ADOPTED 05/09/2021!
Good With Kids: Older kids, over 12

Sweet Odin was absolutely cherished by his family. However, due to circumstances beyond his control, they needed to rehome him. It is highly apparent that he has been well loved and cared for and just needs the right household to live out his golden years.
Odin is friendly, affectionate, and playful. Having lived in a household, Odin is housebroken and crate trained. Odin also has some basic commands already in place. He knows sit, stay, come, down, paw, nose, and ok. Although Odin has some obedience training, he will need to attend training as this will help him bond with his new family. Odin enjoys the company of other dogs and has lived with a cat. Although he can handle older children, he is uncomfortable around younger children and will be most successful in a household without them. Odin is looking for a forever family that will keep his mind and body well exercised while also making sure he gets plenty of belly rubs. If Odin sounds like the right match for your household, ask to meet him today!
Updates:Odin is very sweet and loves to play ball. He sits nicely for his food, waits until he is released to go outside and walks nicely on a leash. If you are looking for a well behaved older dog that still has a lot of spunk then this guy is the one.
Bailey
ADOPTED 05/09/2021!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Bailey and her siblings were part of an accidental litter. Her family loved her greatly and took good care of her and her siblings. However, as the puppies grew older, it became difficult to take care of so many dogs. Recognizing that Bailey and her siblings would be better able to receive the care and attention they deserved if they were rehomed, Bailey's owner made the difficult decision to surrender the group of siblings to MAGSR. We promised that we would find each member of the family safe and loving forever homes.
Bailey is a sweetheart. She was well socialized in her home with kids and other dogs. However, her family struggled to find time to socialize her in the community. As a result, Bailey can be a little timid with new people and in new places. Given time, patience, and guidance, Bailey will develop the confidence she needs outside of the household. Just like any young dog, Bailey will thrive with structure, routine and training. Training will help her to not only bond with her new family but also develop into the stable adult we know she is destined to be. If Bailey sounds like the right match for your household, please ask to meet her today.
Updates:Bailey is doing good in her foster home. She is very affectionate, housebroken and crate trained. Bailey gets along great with the other dogs in the home and has made herself quite comfortable hanging out with them, playing with toys and chewing on bones. Her foster family will continue to work with her on socialization and walking on a leash while she waits for her furever home. If you are looking for a sweetheart that loves attention and is a bundle of fun this is your little girl.
Brewer
ADOPTED 05/09/2021!
Good With Kids: Yes
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Brewer and his siblings, Dodger, Oriole, and Miami, are part of the Baseball litter. These babies were living in challenging circumstances. Fortunately, their owner was willing to work with a good samaritan to bring them into the safety of the rescue. All four puppies are looking for safe and loving forever homes.
Brewer is an absolute love. He brings immediate smiles to the faces of everyone he meets. Full of puppy wiggles and antics, Brewer has all the incredible qualities of your typical GSD puppy. Although Brewer is a darling, please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. Puppies are full of puppy antics, they get into things, and they will chew on inappropriate items. With time, patience, guidance and training, Brewer will develop into the good canine citizen that we know he is destined to become. If this handsome guy sounds like the right match for your family, ask to meet him today

Metro
ADOPTED 05/08/2021!
Good With Kids: Unknown

Metro was confiscated from his owner over a year ago. However, due to legal proceedings, he was unable to move forward until his court case ended. Although safe at the shelter while the case proceeded, once the case ended, Metro needed out and fast as his time was up. Recognizing that Metro is an amazing dog, shelter staff began networking him in an attempt to find a rescue that could help him before it was too late. When we received Metro's plea, we immediately welcomed him into the MAGSR family.
Metro is a big, beautiful guy. Having previously lived in a household, he does understand many of the household rules. However, just like any new dog he will benefit from a refresher. As is true of any GSD, Metro will thrive in an environment with structure, routine, and leadership. It is highly evident that Metro's previous owner took a lot of time to train him. Metro knows commands in both English and German and does well with a handler that is clear about expectations. While living at the shelter, staff found Metro's stable personality to be an asset. He quickly became the dog tester for the shelter. Good with dogs of all sizes, Metro has the benefit of age, maturity, and confidence. Metro is looking for a forever family that will provide him with a safe and loving forever home, could that be with you?
