Nasauda

Good With Kids: Likely

In some places animals are not valued the way you might expect. They are used and often discarded without a second thought. Nasauda and her sister, Arya, were caught up in this practice when they were discarded like trash without the ability to protect or defend themselves. Although many dogs experience this type of abandonment, only the lucky ones survive. This little litter was lucky and the right people found them and brought them to safety. Another rescue welcomed the girls and immediately began providing them with the care, attention, and love they needed to pull through. With the right supports in place, the girls thrived. However, with numbers at catastrophic levels across shelters and rescues, the girls were struggling to find their forever homes. Recognizing that they may be more successful in a breed specific rescue, these little loves were transferred to the MAGSR family. We have promised both girls that we will find them incredible forever families that will love them for a lifetime.
Having lived in a loving and experienced home both girls have been building a solid foundation of skills. They are friendly, social, and affectionate. As socialization is critical to their success, it is imperative that their forever families continue this process as Nasauda and Arya move forward. Living with kids, dogs, and a bunny, these little ladies are doing a wonderful job with everyone. They are quite the impressive pair. Having lived in a foster home, both girls have begun to learn the ins and outs of living in a household. They are pee pad trained and have begun learning to go outside to take care of their business. They have also begun learning how to walk on leash with harnesses and seem to be picking up skills quickly. We can't wait to see what they learn next! As is true of any new pup, Nasauda and Arya will excel with structure, routine, and leadership. They are eager to learn and full of puppy joy.
Although Nasauda and Arya are beyond adorable, please remember that puppies are a lot of work. They will whine, chew, have accidents, and fill your home with endless puppy antics. With time, training, patience, and routine, we know both girls will shine. If you are looking for daily smiles, puppy breath, and cuddles, ask to meet sweet Nasauda today!
Updates:They are absolutely adorable and very sweet. They have amazing noses and have been using them. Plus, they haven’t eaten any of the children’s toys (yet)! What's more surprising is that even though the sisters had to take many plane rides and car trips to get up to MAGSR from the south, they never had any car sickness or issues - these cuties are troopers! It seems these girls are very clever as both girls, if not completely housebroken, are super close. They do seem to be crate trained already. While they may need a second initially to say hello to new people, they do warm up quickly and their fosters are still helping set them up for success by getting them as much socialization as possible. They are highly treat motivated and very responsive to verbal commands - they're just both a good little set of babies.
Nasuada is doing good at her Foster home. She is progressing well with potty training and getting along with the resident dog.

She loves other dogs and has been around a lot of different ones in the past weeks. Almost house trained (we take her out often but she doesn’t alert us just yet), loves affection, pets, treats, snuggles and toys! She is a very go-with-the-flow kind of girl. She is crate trained and has not chomped on any shoes or furniture. We love her a lot which means she's going to be a fabulous dog for some lucky family!
Xema
ADOPTED 08/09/2025!
Good With Kids: Unknown
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Xema is a 2-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a story that speaks to resilience. Abandoned at a boarding facility in the south alongside her housemate, Sheeba, Xema spent nearly a year waiting for a family that never came back. These two girls have been through a lot, but they’re ready to leave the past behind and embrace a brighter future. Thanks to a local rescue and the support of MAGSR, Xema now has a chance to find the home she’s always deserved.
Despite her abandonment, this lovely girl has shown to have a gentle spirit and a playful heart. Xema is a sweet and sensitive soul who may need a little time to settle in—but once she does, her affectionate nature and playful personality shine. She’s especially motivated by treats and warms up faster when there’s kindness (and snacks!) involved. This whip-smart, athletic girl loves hiking and snuggling—she’s just as happy exploring trails as she is curling up beside you after a long day. With continued training and structure, Xema has incredible potential to become a loyal, well-mannered companion.
Because she’s spent much of her young life in a kennel, Xema will need patience and guidance as she adjusts to home life. She’s looking for parents who understand the importance of routine, boundaries, and building trust. A home that values connection and consistency will help her thrive. If you’re someone who believes in second chances and sees the beauty in a dog who’s ready to blossom, Xema might be your perfect match. She’s got depth, sweetness, and just the right dash of playfulness - and she’s ready to share it all with the right person. Come meet Xema and witness her quiet magic. She’s ready to move forward - maybe with you by her side?
Fern
ADOPTED 08/03/2025!
Good With Kids: Likely
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Fabulous Fern and her sister, Fawn, were surrendered to a shelter with six litter mates. Known as the F litter, these babies entered into a system overwhelmed with what seems like an endless flow of animals in need and not enough safe places to put them. Shelter Staff were doing everything possible to keep up — spaying/neutering, working with rescue, and advocating tirelessly — but the number of homeless animals kept growing by the day, putting them at a critical breaking point. With eight little souls in their care and nowhere to safely place them, an urgent plea was sent out to the GSD rescue community. Three groups, including MAGSR, stepped forward to save the litter. With such a large litter, teamwork made it possible for all the babies to move into rescue placements. As part of the team effort MAGSR welcomed precious Fern and Fawn and placed both girls directly into loving foster homes.
Excited to bask in the comfort and safety of amazing homes, both girls are settling in well with their foster families. Although we are still getting to know both Fern and Fawn, they have proven to be friendly, affectionate, and playful little ladies. Over the next few days, both girls will begin learning the ins and outs of living in a home. Clearly smart little ladies, we are sure they will pick up quickly.
Although both Fawn and Fern are beyond adorable, please remember that puppies are a lot of work. They will whine, chew, have accidents, and fill your home with endless puppy antics. With time, training, patience, and leadership we know Fern and Fawn are going to develop into good canine citizens. If you’re looking for a sweet pup to fill your home with laughter, tail wags, and unconditional love, Fern might just be your perfect match. She’s a blank slate ready to grow into an amazing companion with the right person or family by her side.
Cressida
ADOPTED 08/01/2025!
Good With Kids: Unknown

Adorable Cressida was picked up as a stray and brought to a local shelter with another young female GSD - Cordelia. The two girls waited patiently for families to come and claim them. However, after waiting for a month, when no one stepped forward, shelter staff began working with the girls to find amazing forever families. Although they began teaching the girls basic commands and even began working with a local trainer, GSDs often struggle in the shelter environment as they require a more stable, calm, and predictable environment. Recognizing that Cressida and Cordelia would be more successful within a breed-specific rescue, both girls were transferred into MAGSR's care. Our team made sure that both girls settled into loving foster homes where they would have everything they needed to meet with success.
Cressida is young, energetic, and very intelligent. Excited to meet new people and eager to please, this lovely girl has a nice balanced personality. Although Cressida clearly has had a couple of hiccups along her journey so far, it is highly evident that someone has spent time teaching her to socialize with new people and other animals. Having a strong foundation is important; however, it is critical that her forever family continue this process with regular, controlled socialization with new people and in varied environments. Training will also go a long way with Cressida. Not only will training help Cressida build a strong, healthy bond with her forever family, but it will also help her develop the skills needed to become a good canine citizen. We do not know much about Cressida's past but, we do know she is already housebroken and crate trained. Cressida will thrive with patience, structure, and routine. With time and leadership we know this lovely girl will succeed.
Cressida is a young pup full of potential. If she sounds like the perfect companion for your household, ask to meet her today!
