Adopted MAGSR Dogs

Sweet Willow came to MAGSR from a very sad situation.  Willow previously lived in a hoarding situation with 14 other dogs.  Willow was underfed and used for breeding.  Because of all that Willow has endured, she is confused and just needs to learn to trust and know she'll be well taken care of.  Now that MAGSR has Willow, we hope she will quickly adjust and learn that she will receive regular meals, attention, and proper socialization. Sweet Dorma came to MAGSR very emaciated and from a very sad situation.  This little girl previously lived in a hoarding situation with 14 other dogs where some would lose out on getting food, which we think is what happened to Dorma because she is skin and bones.  She was very underfed and used for breeding.  Because of all that Dorma has endured, she is very confused and just needs to learn to trust and know she'll be well taken care of.  Now that MAGSR has Dorma, we hope she will quickly adjust and learn that she will receive regular meals, attention, and proper socialization. Merle, one of mama Reese’s eleven “Country Pups”, was dumped at a shelter at approximately 3 weeks old prior to MAGSR stepping up to rescue them.  Merle cannot be any cuter and is absolutely a great little boy, happy go lucky and loves to give puppy kisses.  Merle has a lot to learn about going a good canine citizen and will require training.  Please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family - puppies are a 10-12 year commitment.  Puppies are full of energy and can be mischievous – they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things.  With time, patience, guidance and training, Merle will become even more of an amazing boy than he already is.  If interested and he sounds like a good match for your family, please submit an adoption application for Merle!  Merle will be available for adoption on March 11^that 8 weeks old!

Sadly Rocky's person passed away, leaving him to find another family and home.  In his previous home he happily lived with 3 Poms.  He also did well with visiting grandchildren.  He is a great boy, albeit somewhat confused after losing everything he knew.  He is currently in a foster home, living with a cat.  We are waiting for updates on his behavior with cats, once settled in he will be properly introduced to his feline housemate.  Rocky needs some work on his leash manners as he is very strong and pulls hard while being walked.  This is easily corrected with proper training.  He is housebroken and crate trained.

Mia was adopted from our rescue when she was just a puppy in 2014.  Sadly, through no fault of her own, her adopter returned her to MAGSR.  As you can imagine, Mia’s world as she knew it has been turned upside down.  She is currently in a loving foster home with her foster family helping her with the adjustment. Mia’s foster reports that Mia is adjusting nicely to her foster family and resident dog, is calm and loves the kids.  Mia is crate trained, walks well on a leash and knows her basic commands.  If a laid back dog is what your family is looking for, please ask to meet Mia.

Sweet Bell came to MAGSR from a shelter and needs a home of her own.  Understandably, Bell is very scared and confused.  We hope she will quickly adjust and learn to trust and know that she'll be well take care of.  If Bell sounds like the right dog for your household, please ask about her today. 

George lived on a farm with livestock which was not the life for George.  He lived with other dogs and indoor cats but George was too focused on the livestock, going after them any chance he had.   George is a friendly big boy with those he meets, he enjoys swimming and going for walks.  He often frequented his local home improvement store with his family.  He does get excited when meeting new dogs, a slow proper introduction is needed.  George is now looking for a home that he does not have to share with livestock, they are just too tempting for him. 

Handsome Prince came to MAGSR from a very sad situation.  Prince previously lived in a hoarding situation with 14 other dogs.  Prince was underfed and used for breeding.  Because of all that Prince has endured, he is confused and just needs to learn to trust and know he'll be well taken care of.  Now that MAGSR has Prince, we hope he will quickly adjust and learn that he will receive regular meals, attention, and proper socialization. Prince is a outgoing and very friendly boy.  If Prince sounds like the right dog for your household, please ask about him today.

Mica has not had a good life up to this point.  She spent all of her time in a crate, most likely having never been outside.  She has no idea what a leash is which can make her uneasy.  She enjoys human companionship but can become overwhelmed.  Mica is a blank slate, she has so much to learn about people and the world.  She will need someone with patience to help her build her confidence and to introduce her to the world.  She is underweight but with regular, nutritious meals she will be in tiptop shape in no time.  Mica deserves the chance to know love,  proper care and to just be a puppy....won't  you give her that?

Handsome Hawk was found in an abandoned house, left to fend for himself. Luckily someone found him and he was taken to a shelter. He was a shelter favorite, as he craved human attention and is very friendly. Obviously we know nothing about his history.  He has been friendly with our volunteers. Hawk is long hair GSD and estimated to be 5 years old

We are not sure what Zuri's past was like, but we do know his future is bright, full of love and care.  Yes, he receives that from our volunteers, but he desperately wants a loving family and home of his very own.  He wants to the enjoy the comforts of home, regular nutritious meals and proper care.  Sweet Zuri has hair loss and a skin infection which is being treated.  It is believed it was caused by flea dermatitis.  His fur is starting to come back in and his skin is healing.  Please consider Zuri, give him the chance is so deserves.

Jake was found as a stray and taken to a shelter.  His microchip led the shelter to his family but sadly they did not bother to pick him up.  Their loss as Jake is a wonderful boy.  He is a German Shepherd mix, mixed with a lot of love and sweetness.  He is very good with other dogs, both large and small.  He is easy and laid back and enjoys human companionship.  Ask to meet this sweet boy.

Rio was turned into a shelter as he was chasing the cattle on the farm where he lived, so no more farm life for this boy.  Rio prefers that his dog friends be females...can you really blame a guy :)  Training of course will go along way with helping him learn all that he needs to know and it also helps creates a bond with his new family. 

Magic was surrendered by his family as they were moving into an apartment where Shepherds were not allowed.  

He lived with children, cats and other dogs in his previous home. He does like to chase the cats, but we are told he only wants to play.

Magic, of course will require training and guidance from his family so that he can learn good manners.

Jazzmin is a beautiful black and red female GSD. She is good with both male and female dogs. She is a friendly girl who just lacks in manners. Training will help her learn proper manners which results in a well behaved dog. It has been noted that Jazzmin can become mouthy when she gets overly excited, this behavior needs to be corrected. For this reason we will not place Jazzmin in a home with a small children.
