Adopted MAGSR Dogs

Maverick was a cherished member of his family. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Maverick's family needed to find him a new home. Although this was a devastating decision, Maverick's family put his best interest at the forefront of their decision. MAGSR promised to find Maverick a loving home.

Maverick is a handsome and fun loving guy. Having previously lived with another more dominant dog and children, Maverick has had the opportunity to experience life with a variety of personalities. As a happy-go-lucky guy, Maverick tends to be unphased by most things. As both a goof-ball and a sweetheart, Maverick thinks that he should be a participant in all activities throughout the day, this includes trying to be a lap dog and joining in on hugs. Like all shepherds he wants to be with his people and know where they are at all times. Maverick is looking for a household that will provide the love, guidance, and structure that helps all dogs meet with success. Stanley and his sister Daisy found themselves in a shelter when their mom unexpectedly passed away. Stanley is an overall easy going guy; however, he needs a little time to adjust to new people as he has endured so many changes recently. Once comfortable, Stanley enjoys walks, treats, and the ever important butt rubs. 

Although it is hard to tell right now, Stanley is a long-haired shepherd. Unfortunately, he was so matted when he first arrived that he had to be shaved. His lovely long fur is beginning to grow back; however, It will be very important that his new family take the time to regularly brush Stanley, so that he doesn't find himself in this situation again. Having previously lived in a home, Stanley likely already understands many of the ins and outs of being a member of a family. Stanley is looking for a family that will provide him with the structure, guidance, and safety that he deserves. Could you be that family? 

Lovely little Jazzmine is one of Sheena's puppies. Just like her amazing mom, Jazzmine is a survivor. She and her seven siblings - Jacob, Joey, Jaxx, Joshua, Jason, James, and Jaycee - were removed from their home just in the nick of time. With several good samaritans along the way, this family made their way to the MAGSR family. 

Jazzmine is an adorable girl and is fortunate to have the sweetness of her mother in her. This playful girl brings smiles to everyone around her. Although Jazzmine is an incredible girl, please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family. After a rough start to life and difficult circumstances in another state, Rusty found his way to MAGSR six years ago. This lucky guy found a loving home with all adults quickly, but due to circumstances beyond their control, his family made the extremely difficult decision to return him to MAGSR  as they knew that we would find the home and love he deserves. Rusty is an incredible guy. This big guy has energy and intelligence to spare. As a result, he will do best in a home that can exercise both his body and his mind daily. He knows several commands and with good leadership follows through nicely. A toy guy, Rusty enjoys playing with plush toys and can be found carrying them about the house. He’s not much of a ball guy; however if given the opportunity, he will catch the ball a couple times and run around with it. 

Rusty has learned to be a gentleman in the house; he understands what is not his and doesn't get on the furniture. He also doesn’t shed much! Already crate trained, Rusty finds comfort in his crate and can often be found sleeping in his crate at night.  While not a “Velcro” dog, Rusty can usually be found in a strategic location where he can keep track of his people. Not an enthusiastic licker, when you get a kiss or affection from Rusty, you know he thinks you’re really special. Rusty has lived with an indoor-only cat for six years. In that time he has learned to leave her alone the large majority of the time. He may do well with a dog-savvy cat. Rusty’s ideal forever home would include plush toys, good exercise, and an appreciation for his intelligence. Rose and her sisters - Blanche and Dorthy - were abandoned. Luckily these lovely girls were rescued and sent to MAGSR. As is true of all puppies, Rose is curious, energetic, and very playful. Dusty's family absolutely adored her. However, they knew that they could not provide Dusty with the safety and security that she deserved. As a result, they made the difficult decision to surrender her to MAGSR. Knowing that this family did everything they could to care for Dusty, we promised that we would find this lovely little girl the perfect forever home.   

Dusty is a precious little girl. She brings joy, giggles, and smiles to her foster family on a daily basis. Although somewhat undersocialized, daily work with Dusty is helping her develop into the stable girl we know she will be as she grows. Gypsy's family loved her dearly; however, due to circumstances beyond their control they needed to find her a new home. Although this was a very difficult decision, they wanted to do what was best for Gypsy. As a result, they reached out to MAGSR to help Gypsy find the perfect forever home.

Gypsy is a young and intelligent girl. Like most shepherds, she needs a little time to warm up to people outside of her family; however, when provided with the opportunity to adjust, Gypsy will begin to interact with new people. As is also true of most shepherds, Gypsy thrives with leadership and a confident handler. Having lived in a household, Gypsy is housebroken and understands many of the basic rules of living in a home. As an active girl, Gypsy will benefit from daily exercise of both her mind and body. Dorothy and her sisters - Rose and Blanche - were abandoned. Luckily these lovely girls were rescued and sent to MAGSR. As is true of all puppies, Dorothy is curious, energetic, and playful. Ginger and her siblings - Goofy, Grace, and Goose - were confiscated from a puppy mill operation. They are all emaciated and in need of positive interaction. The shelter that confiscated this little family knew that these dogs would need extra support in order to find their forever homes. When MAGSR got the call to take them in, we started putting plans in place to meet their needs.

Although they have survived a horrible situation, Ginger and her siblings are very loveable dogs. Definitely a little skittish, these dogs will excel with patience, leadership, and positive experiences. Ginger is a friendly girl who appreciates gentle handling. She leans in for affection and has easily won over the hearts of our volunteers. We look forward to getting to know Ginger over the next few weeks.
