Description

Meet Ewok, a playful, goofy, and endlessly entertaining young shepherd who’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and love to his forever home!

Found as a stray in an area where very few dogs are safe, Ewok beat the odds thanks to the kindness of strangers. Though efforts were made to locate his family, no one came forward—and Ewok was left waiting in an overcrowded shelter, running out of time. That’s when Team MAGSR stepped in, and thanks to a compassionate foster, Ewok got his second chance.

Now safe and settling into home life, Ewok is proving to be a total gem. He’s full of energy, curiosity, and affection. In many ways still a puppy, he’s learning the ropes of home life and thriving with structure, leadership, and routine. He's enjoying daily adventures with his foster family and gets along wonderfully with the resident dogs.

Ewok has a great social foundation, but like all young shepherds, he’ll need continued guidance to grow into a stable, confident adult. His ideal family will be active, patient, and committed to ongoing training and mental stimulation.

Ewok’s Wish List:

A family who will keep him mentally and physically engaged

A consistent routine with positive reinforcement

Playtime, adventures, and lots of snuggles

A forever home that will love him for a lifetime

Ewok has overcome so much already—and now he’s ready to find the people who will never let him down. Could you be the one to give Ewok the forever he deserves?

Updates:
Ewok has settled in nicely with his foster family. He is very friendly and loves all the people and dogs he has met.  We have found out that Ewok has many activities he loves to do, including playing with his foster sisters in the yard, chewing bones and fetching the jollyball!  He also enjoys snuggles, kisses and is happy to be near humans.  As he is still a big puppy and has not had any prior training, he is beginning to learn basic house manners, crate training and house breaking. He's very exhilarated with his greetings of people and is spring loaded with excitement for almost everyone! This lovey guy just loves treats, toys, praise and attention - he has not met anyone he doesn’t like! Despite the stress of the moves to get him into MAGSR, he is a furry and inquisitive pup. He loves other dogs of all sizes and people! He is enjoying being pet, playing fetch, chomping on Benebones, and how to be a pampered house pet.  He always stays close to the humans and watches our every move.  Ewok already recalls to his name, is walking decently on a leash and is learning to perfect sit.  He is easily recalled from within our fenced yard. When he sees his favorite humans, he jumps straight up in the air like his legs have springs!  Ewok is a smart, well behaved pup who wants nothing more than to please his humans.  He has been very good about chomping in the dog toys and not furniture.  He has met my neighbors dog savvy kiddos and smothered them in kisses (2 and 4yrs old). His immediate reaction to other dogs and humans is positive and friendly.  He is still learning house manners including crate training and has done very well without any accidents.

Description

Chloee and her sister were absolutely adored by their mom. They grew up in a loving household and knew the joys of being cherished. Unfortunately, when their mom became very ill, she was unable to continue to care for the girls and had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender them to a local shelter. Shelter staff knew these girls and their mom had been placed in an impossible situation and began working with the girls to find rescue placement. In a perfect world, we would all have a back-up option if something unthinkable were to happen. However, this is not an option in every household. The shelter was able to find Chloee's sister placement, leaving Chloee on her own. Knowing that we would want someone to step forward and help our dog, MAGSR stepped up and welcomed Chloee to the family.

Although both Chloee and her sister did very well together, they each played different roles in the relationship. Chloee was more of the alpha. She looked after the pack and ensured that everyone was safe. As a result, she can be more selective about her friends, particularly, her doggie friends. With clear boundaries and expectations, she has done well. Chloee is also shown that she is often comfortable with smaller creatures, such as cats. Having experienced a lot of change over the last month, lovely Chloee does need a little time to adjust to new people and situations. Once provided with some time and patience to adjust, Chloee has proven to be a sweet and submissive girl. She adores a good belly rub and is beyond happy to cuddle in with her people. Having lived in a home, Chloee does understand many of the ins and outs of living in a household. But, like all new dogs, she will need time to adjust to the structure, routines, and expectations of her forever family. Training will go a long way with this lady. Not only will training help Chloee build a healthy bond with her forever family, but it will also help her develop the skills needed to become a good canine citizen. Sweet Chloe is looking for a calm and comfortable forever family that will adore her for a lifetime. Could that family be you?

Description

Thunder is an 11-month-old handsome young shepherd with a heart full of potential. Life hasn’t been easy for him — he lived outside from the time he was a puppy, and when he was surrendered to a local shelter, his ears were still healing from fly bites. Despite this rough start, Thunder is now part of the MAGSR family and is eager to find a forever home where he can finally know comfort, guidance, and love.

Because Thunder has never had consistent training or boundaries, he can be pushy and is still learning how to navigate the world politely. He’s yearning for human interaction and thrives when he gets attention, but he will need a family willing to provide structure, clear rules, and patient guidance. With the right leadership, Thunder will grow into the well-mannered, loyal companion he’s meant to be.

True to his breed, Thunder is intelligent, energetic, and curious. Daily exercise and mental stimulation will help him burn off energy and channel his enthusiasm in positive ways. Training will be essential — not only to teach him good manners, but also to help him bond strongly with his forever family.

Thunder has so much love to give and just needs the right person or family to help him blossom. If you’re ready to invest the time and guidance this young shepherd needs, ask to meet Thunder today. He’s ready to start his new chapter by your side.

Description

Not all babies come into the world surrounded by love, warmth, and safety. While some are born into nurturing homes that ensure every need is met, others arrive in conditions that are heartbreaking to witness. Sadly, the nine Island Puppies — Country Lemonade, Coconut Bay, Beach Walk, Early Sunrise, Island Guava, Maple Pancake, Mountain Lodge, Pomegranate, and Vanilla Cloud — were born into the latter.

Emaciated, sick, and covered in dirt, feces, and fleas, these fragile babies were confiscated by animal control and brought to a local shelter. Too young to be adopted and far too vulnerable for a shelter environment, a plea for help went out. Thankfully, another rescue organization stepped in with a foster placement and pulled the entire family to safety. From the moment they arrived, it was clear these pups needed immediate and intensive care. Vaccinations were given. Deworming treatments began. Medicated baths washed away layers of neglect. Vet checks were scheduled, feeding schedules established — and slowly, steadily, these babies began to heal.

The Island Litter is a group of true survivors. Despite enduring more hardship in their first few weeks than any puppy should, they remain joyful, loving, and eager to connect. Like all German Shepherds, they are intelligent, energetic, and deeply loyal. Knowing these pups would thrive best within a breed-specific rescue, the organization that initially saved them reached out to MAGSR — and we didn’t hesitate. These puppies deserved the best chance at a safe and happy life, and we were honored to welcome them to the MAGSR family.

Today, the Island Litter is flourishing in foster homes, each one surrounded by love, structure, routine, and care. They’re working hard on crate training and housebreaking, enjoying meals and playtime, and soaking up all the affection they can get. Quick and clever, they’re food-motivated — which makes future training a breeze! But please remember: puppies are a lot of work. They’ll chew, whine, make messes, and keep you on your toes. They’ll also fill your home with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. With consistency, patience, and commitment, each of these pups has the potential to grow into an incredible adult dog.

If you have the heart, time, and dedication to help one of these special puppies continue their journey, apply today. They’ve survived the unimaginable — now they deserve a lifetime of safety, love, and belonging.

Description

Striking Sheeba is a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd with a quiet strength and a heart full of hope. Abandoned at a boarding facility in the south alongside her housemate, Xema, Sheeba spent nearly a year waiting for a family that never came back. Thanks to a local rescue and the support of MAGSR, Sheeba now has a chance to find the loving home she’s been waiting for.

A gentle, observant girl, Sheeba takes her time to warm up, but once she does, her loyalty runs deep. True to her clever nature, this girl is ready to learn and would benefit greatly from continued training. She’s intelligent and responsive, and with the right guidance, she’ll gain confidence and develop into a well-mannered, trusting companion. Spirited Sheeba would do best in a home without small animals, including little dogs, cats, rabbits, or chickens. Her ideal environment is one where she can feel secure and thrive without the stress of managing prey-like distractions. Ideally, she is looking for a calm, stable environment with parents who understand the importance of routine, gentle leadership, and patience. A home committed to helping her learn and grow will help her blossom into the loyal companion she’s meant to be.

If you’re someone who sees the beauty in resilience and values a dog with depth, devotion, and untapped potential, Sheeba might be your perfect match. She’s ready to leave her past behind and begin a new chapter, with someone who believes in her. Come meet Sheeba and experience the quiet magic of a dog who’s ready to love—and be loved—wholeheartedly. Think she might be the missing piece in your home? Ask to meet her today!
