This lovely lady found herself in the care of a rescue determined to place her in a safe and loving home. That rescue later reached out for help with some of the dogs in their care, and as we all know, teamwork makes the dream work, so MAGSR didn't think twice before stepping forward to assist.

Cloud is the kind of dog who leaves an impression you won’t soon forget. With her kind eyes, sweet spirit, and gentle way of moving through the world, it’s hard not to fall in love. A sensitive soul at heart, Cloud has been through a lot and responds best to slow, soft introductions and a gentle, patient handler - someone who understands that dogs who’ve had a tough past deserve the time and space to build trust. Xena was recently returned to the MAGSR family after spending several years in a loving home since she was a puppy. While this was not the outcome anyone hoped for, sometimes life circumstances change in ways that are beyond a family’s control. Xena was deeply loved, and her family knew that she deserved the opportunity for a fresh start—one MAGSR promised to provide. We welcomed Xena back with open arms and committed to finding her an incredible match as she moves forward into her next chapter.

Xena is an active, intelligent, and impressive girl who thrives when she has a job or a purpose. She is highly motivated to learn, eager to engage, and has a strong foundation that sets her up for success. Always happy to try new things, Xena needs regular mental and physical stimulation to stay balanced and fulfilled. She is not a couch potato and is looking for an active family that will challenge both her body and her mind on a daily basis. This structure not only helps her continue building skills but also supports her confident, stable personality.

Having lived in a home for several years, Xena understands many of the ins and outs of household living. She is crate trained, housebroken, and familiar with household expectations. Greta is a stunning German Shepherd who embodies everything people love about the breed—intelligence, loyalty, and a deep devotion to her people. With her expressive eyes and confident presence, she naturally turns heads, but it’s her happy, outgoing personality that truly makes her shine. This beautiful girl thrives on connection and loves being part of the family. She hasn’t met a stranger she doesn’t like and greets everyone with enthusiasm and affection.

Greta is playful and sometimes exuberant, still very much a young dog GSD. She’s well socialized and does well with other friendly, even-tempered dogs of all sizes. She’s housebroken, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. She especially enjoys her playtime—chasing her beloved Jolly Ball in the yard is a favorite pastime—and after a fun-filled day, she’s more than happy to settle in for snuggles.

Like many young shepherds, Greta is still working on her manners. Her excitement when meeting new people means she sometimes forgets to keep “four on the floor,” and she would benefit from continued training and guidance. Training is critical to her success. Not only will training help Greta develop a strong and healthy bond with her forever family, but it will also help her become a good canine citizen. Due to her size and enthusiasm, she would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children who can help her continue to learn appropriate boundaries.

Sweet Mama Sage found herself in an incredibly tough situation in the South after being surrendered to an overcrowded shelter - one where many dogs step in but never get the chance to step back out due to a lack of space. Fate, however, had other plans. As Sage arrived with a hidden surprise inside, a local rescue volunteer happened to be walking out. Recognizing the danger Sage faced, she immediately began networking this lovely girl, determined to give her a chance at a future. At the same time, MAGSR was already in conversations about another dog at the same shelter. Knowing Sage (and her special surprises) had no other options, our team made the decision that saving a few lives was better than saving one—and the girls joined the MAGSR family.

Upon arrival, our volunteers quickly discovered that Sage brought more than one little friend along - she brought nine! Sage was pregnant and due very soon. Knowing this little family would need a safe place to begin, one of our amazing fosters stepped forward and welcomed the Sage into her home. The family would multiply significantly within a couple weeks. Just before 2026 began, Sage welcomed nine furry babies to the world - the Nature Puppies (Brook, Wren, Terra, Briar, Moss, Timber, Hawk, Falcon, and Buckeye)! These little bundles of joy have been learning all about the world around them while under the watchful eye of their mother, Sage, and their incredible foster family. 

Unlike many babies who have joined the rescue family under very different circumstances, the Nature Puppies have had constant love, care, attention, and vetting since they were born. They have been learning social skills within a pack and have a good understanding of toys. Although these babies have had a loving start, it is critical that their forever families continue this process. Socialization with other people and animals in a variety of environments will be essential. Training will also be necessary for their success. Training will not only help the Nature puppies build a solid bond with their forever family, but it will also help these babies grow into good canine citizens. 

Although the Nature Puppies are beyond adorable, please remember that puppies are a lot of work. Puppies will whine, chew, have accidents, and fill your home with endless puppy antics. With time, patience, routine, and training, we know each of the Nature Puppies will become loving members of their forever family. Worf spent his entire life with one family, growing up in a busy home filled with a large pack of dogs and a revolving door of at least six kids. He adored his family and thrived in the hustle and bustle, doing wonderfully with the children around him. As one of the more confident dogs in the pack, Worf understood structure, though he occasionally clashed with an older alpha dog. His family loved him deeply, but with so many moving parts in the home, they realized they couldn’t give Worf the individual attention he truly deserved. Making the incredibly difficult and selfless decision, they chose to seek rescue placement so he could have the opportunity to shine in a home of his own.

When Worf joined the MAGSR family, one thing was immediately clear — “that’s a lotta dog!” And it’s true… but it’s all wrapped up in affection for people. Worf is incredibly sweet in the home. Whether he’s lounging on the couch or proudly bringing you his favorite toy for a game of fetch, he just wants to be near his humans. He has been wonderful with visitors in his foster home and remains friendly and composed when meeting new people out on walks. Smart and eager, Worf already knows some basic commands and does best with structure, routine, and clear expectations. Continued training will not only strengthen his bond with his future family but also help him grow into an exceptional canine companion.

Worf is already housebroken and crate trained, and he understands the rhythm of home life. He’s the kind of dog who will happily hang out by your desk while you work, patiently waiting for that next play session or walk. While Worf has a great foundation, he will need a little time, patience, and space to decompress as he transitions into his forever home.
