Atta was a stray to the shelter and is now looking for his forever home. He is a strong boy with no leash skills, but with training, guidance and direction he will learn quickly. He is young and full of energy, so be sure you are up to many walks and playtime each day. Yes, he has a lot to learn, but will need his humans help to learn how to be the best he can be.
Updates:He is a sweetheart!! Atta loves every person he meets. Atta hasn't had any accidents in the house and is slightly crate trained / crate comfortable. He would prefer being with his person than in the crate though and may cry a little at first. Once he gets a routine and understands you're coming back he's fine! Atta is a cuddler and a silly boy. He doesn't get into things around the house and is very well behaved. Training will be helpful and he learns very quickly! Sit, stay, come, heel, drop, etc are all about 65%. The dogs we have met, Atta hasn't been psyched about and will growl. Some he is okay with when introduced slowly and properly. He requires medium exercise and is happy to adapt to his owner. With car rides, he does well, gets slightly anxious, and may get car sick on longer trips. Atta may do well in a low-chaos home, maybe with a couple who is home often. He's a very special pup and his future family will be very lucky.
Lexi
ADOPTED 02/03/2019!
Good With Kids: Yes

Lexi came back to us after 5 years as her adopter had many changes in her life, some of them tragic. Lexi is very much loved and was well cared for, but unfortunately her family was not able to continue to provide her with the best home. She lived with smaller dogs and cats, she also enjoyed frequent visits by the grandchildren. She is overweight, but with a reduced calorie diet she will have her girly figure back in no time. Lexi would love to know the comforts of a home once again and the love and companionship of a family.
Zeus

Sadly Zeus's person was relocated for his job and was not able to find pet friendly housing that he could afford. Zeus and his sister Athena are now in our care, patiently waiting for a new family. They have been well cared for and were very much loved. They get along very well and are very bonded so we are hopeful that a family has room in their hearts and homes to adopt them both.

Fritz
ADOPTED 02/02/2019!
Good With Kids: Unknown

Fritz made his way to us from a shelter where he was a stray, so we have no history for him. Fritz is a lot of dog, he is big and strong, and it is obvious that no one took the time to train him. Training is so very important as it teaches them good behavior, good manners and how to be good members of a family and society. He has been friendly with our volunteers and did well meeting other dogs.
