A neighbor found Sam tied to a tree after his family moved away and left him. Thankfully this good samaritan found him, had him seen by a vet then reached out to us to find Sam the home and family he deserves. Sam is somewhat skittish and needs a little time to be comfortable when meeting new people. Once he trusts you he becomes relaxed, enjoying walks and playtime. He will of course need his family to commit to training with him, this will help Sam become more socialized, build his confidence, learn all that he needs to know and of course create a strong bond with his family. Sam needs some work so please be sure you are able to devote the time that is required to help Sam move forward.
Updates:Sam has spent the last few months in a board and train program. Sam came to us having not been well socialized, lacking confidence and fearful. The trainers have brought him a long way, but it is an ongoing process. Sam will require an experienced and knowledgeable GSD handler. It is also required that his new person continues with his training in order for Sam to continue on the right path. Sam does bond with his handler, but requires time to accept new people. If you are interested in Sam it is required that you meet him and follow the directions of his trainers at K9-Koncepts http://www.k9koncepts.com to ensure a good fit for all. If you would like more information on Sam we can put you in touch with his trainers.
Sam is a very handsome, active 5 yr old altered male just reaching maturity. Sam is very sweet, but still shy - he will bond to his handler and definitely needs to be well exercised on a daily basis. Sam has completed basic obedience training, knows basic commands such as sit, down, come, & walks well on loose leash.

Toby made his way to MAGSR after a kind soul discovered him at a shelter and knew he deserved a chance at a forever home. Having moved around a bit in order to make his way to MAGSR Toby is, understandably, a little unsure about his new circumstances. However, he is slowly warming up to his foster family and we know over time his full personality will shine. As a young and energetic pup, Toby is your typical GSD - he enjoys playing, leaning into his people, and head and neck rubs. Toby will require guidance, training, and continued patience as he develops into a good canine citizen; however, he already has a good start as he is housebroken and is currently crate training. Toby is an intelligent pup who wants to follow the direction of his handler. He is quickly picking up a few commands and is learning how to walk on leash when participating in daily walks with his foster siblings. Although Toby is learning about pack life with his furry foster siblings, he does require slow introductions to new dogs at this time as he lacks confidence. We are sure that over time with training and socialization, Toby will develop into an amazing dog.
It's amazing what a few weeks in a foster home can do for a young, energetic pup. Toby has been very busy lately learning about what it is to be a good canine citizen. Thrilled to try anything that involves a high value treat, Toby has learned many of his basic commands. At this time, Toby knows - sit, stay, down, crate, out, and off. As he has developed many of his commands, Toby has increased his confidence and has become more comfortable within the community. In addition to basic commands, Toby has also been developing his leash manners. As Toby has made significant progress in this area as well, he is now jogging a few miles with a couple times a week. On days when Toby doesn't go for a run, he is thrilled to take a long walk and then play fetch. Activities such as these have helped Toby burn his puppy energy in a constructive manner. When activities are all done, Toby is happy to settle down with his foster family and chew on a bone or snuggle up for a few extra cuddles. If this fun-loving guy sounds like the right match for your household, please inquire about him today.

Julia cannot be any cuter and is absolutely a great little girl, happy go lucky and loves to give puppy kisses. Julia has a lot to learn about being a good canine citizen and will require training. Please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family - puppies are a 10-12 year commitment. Puppies are full of energy and can be mischievous – they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, guidance and training, Julia will become even more of an amazing girl than she already is. Please inquire if Julia sounds like a good match for your family.
