Chief

Date of Death: August 9, 2026

My adopted German Shepherd “Chief”, who came home with me on March 03, 2018, passed away rather suddenly, on Sunday evening 09Aug2026.

The vet said he passed from an inoperable cancerous tumor on his heart that had filled with fluid, making it hard for him to breathe. .

THE Chief was my third MAGSR rescue and the youngest. Living alone made these last 8 years, of my life, caring and tending to Chief, so much more meaningful and fulfilling. (so long as I kept him away from other 4 legged creatures!)

Thank you for what you all do for this magnificent canine breed! Also thank you for the years I enjoyed with THE Chief (and Max and Maximus before him).

Lastly, I wish you all and MAGSR great success in caring for these dogs.
