Wilco (FKA Willoughby) ~ March 17, 2015 to October 5, 2026
It is hard to report the death of one dog, much less two. Unfortunately, we lost two of our seniors in a short amount of time. They were a bonded pair, & unsurprisingly, the second pup passed not too long after the first dog died.
Wilco & Fargo were both foster failures, adopted over 10 years ago. Fargo was always the dog who was social, an adventurous explorer, & even a little bit of a diva. Wilco was much more reserved, frequently finding a fun pastime in the house which often included “rearranging” CDs, terrorizing the chairs, the couch & various house plants.
Where one was, the other would soon follow. They would sleep by each other, enjoy the sun near each other, and often mimic each other’s behavior. They would even go to the vet together for support. Fargo helped Wilco come out of his shell.
Our other dogs are doing OK, although getting used to life without Wilco & Fargo. Soon we’ll be reaching out to add to our little pack. Thank you, MAGSR, for giving us more than a decade with them.
