I’m so sad to share that we lost Kira (fka Zenzi) this week. We adopted her in 2019 as one of the GA38. We made the hardest of decisions this week when she was no longer able to stand. We suspected kidney disease but also tested for Addisons based on recommendations from this group. In the end, all indications are she had end stage renal failure. We had known for a while her blood work showed the signs, but the past month showed substantial progression.
We loved her deeply and were so honored to give her a life she loved. She was our sweet girl and a princess among our pack. She was incredibly silly and so very kind. She put up with a new puppy, many kittens, and, of course, many humans. We miss her beyond what words can express. Rest well, my sweet girl.
