Our beautiful German Shepherd, Mackey died on March 2 2026.
Mackey (FKA Maco) was adopted from MAGSR in July of 2015, when he was about two years old.
He was a goofy pretty boy, who loved to go on walks, spend time with us, and eat! He was the best walker in the world! He would stay right next to me and never pull the leash or even chase the squirrels, which he loved to do in the yard. We would walk many many miles a day. He was not a friendly dog, all his affection was for us, his pack!
For the last year or so he had trouble walking due to progressive, degenerative myopathy and arthritis, which caused him much pain.
We are so grateful to MAGSR for giving us the privilege of adopting this wonderful, high maintenance German Shepherd Dog, who was the love of our lives! We are simply heartbroken.
