Jake
ADOPTED 03/25/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Jake was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. His microchip led the shelter to his family but sadly they did not bother to pick him up. Their loss as Jake is a wonderful boy. He is a German Shepherd mix, mixed with a lot of love and sweetness. He is very good with other dogs, both large and small. He is easy and laid back and enjoys human companionship. Ask to meet this sweet boy.
Conway
ADOPTED 03/20/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Conway, one of mama Reese’s eleven “Country Pups”, was dumped at a shelter at approximately 3 weeks old prior to MAGSR stepping up to rescue them. Conway cannot be any cuter and is absolutely a great little boy, happy go lucky and loves to give puppy kisses. Conway has a lot to learn about going a good canine citizen and will require training. Please remember that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention from their family - puppies are a 10-12 year commitment. Puppies are full of energy and can be mischievous – they will whine, have accidents, get into things, and chew on inappropriate things. With time, patience, guidance and training, Conway will become even more of an amazing boy than he already is. If interested and he sounds like a good match for your family, please submit an adoption application for Conway! Conway will be available for adoption on March 11th at 8 weeks old!

Rio

Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Rio was turned into a shelter as he was chasing the cattle on the farm where he lived, so no more farm life for this boy. Rio prefers that his dog friends be females...can you really blame a guy :) Training of course will go along way with helping him learn all that he needs to know and it also helps creates a bond with his new family.
Magic
ADOPTED 03/18/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Magic was surrendered by his family as they were moving into an apartment where Shepherds were not allowed.
He lived with children, cats and other dogs in his previous home. He does like to chase the cats, but we are told he only wants to play.
Magic, of course will require training and guidance from his family so that he can learn good manners.

ADOPTED 03/18/2017!
Good With Kids: Older kids, over 12
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.

Jazzmin is a beautiful black and red female GSD. She is good with both male and female dogs. She is a friendly girl who just lacks in manners. Training will help her learn proper manners which results in a well behaved dog. It has been noted that Jazzmin can become mouthy when she gets overly excited, this behavior needs to be corrected. For this reason we will not place Jazzmin in a home with a small children.

Zoey
ADOPTED 03/16/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Zoey came to us with her mate Zeus, they are a bonded pair and we are hoping that a family has enough room in their hearts and homes for both of them. They are a wonderful pair who enjoy each others company.
They do require training which will help with their leash skills, it is obvious they have not been taught much.
They have been friendly with all of those they have met.
Updates:Zeus and Zoey recently went into a foster home and have adapted quickly to their new surroundings. They are foster's constant shadows following her everywhere she goes. Zeus tends to be a little weary of strangers from a distance but once given the opportunity to meet them he warms up quickly. Zoey seems to be a bit more confident then Zeus and he looks to her often when he feels unsure of himself. Both Zeus and Zoey have the protective nature innate in GSD and are extremely affectionate and loyal with those they trust. They would like to be lap dogs but unfortunately they are just a little too big for that.
Zeus and Zoey love to play fetch but only Zoey will drop the ball for you so you can continue playing, Zeus on the other hand runs around with the ball in his mouth playing keep away from Zoey. Both enjoy chasing each other, but watch out that they may run into you and knock you over when they are going at full speed. For this reason, it maybe better for them to be in a home with older kids. Zoey is a fan of all toys that squeak and Zeus prefers the non squeaky toys so that works out well when it come to sharing toys. Both dogs are crate trained and crated when their foster is not home and have had no issues or accidents in the home - they are both wonderful and respectful house guests.
Zeus and Zoey are in need of training, and need more work on leash manners and learning not to jump on people or furniture. Training will also help to build their confidence and stimulate them mentally and physically. Zoey rides very nicely in the car and Zeus is a bit anxious and would prefer to be shotgun so his foster mom is working on that. One time when Zeus was feeling particularly anxious in the car, Zoey hopped over the seat to lick his face and comfort him. Zoey is the top dog and Zeus respects that. Zeus and Zoey really get along very nicely and just like any other dogs, occasionally have a spat but get over it quickly. We are trying very hard to keep them together but may consider separating them if there is not interest in both dogs. Please ask to meet Zeus and Zoey.

Georgia
ADOPTED 03/16/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Georgia made her way to us from a shelter. She is good with other dogs and has been friendly with those she has met. She is young and has had no training or guidance, it will be important that her new family set boundaries for her and gets her into a good training program. Having a well mannered, socialized dog is crucial and training will help with this.
Kucua
ADOPTED 03/15/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Sweet Kucua came to MAGSR underweight and from a very sad situation. Kucua previously lived in a hoarding situation with 14 other dogs. Kucua was underfed and used for breeding. Because of all that Kucua has endured, she is confused and just needs to learn to trust and know she'll be well taken care of. Now that MAGSR has Kucua, we hope she will quickly adjust and learn that she will receive regular meals, attention, and proper socialization. If Kucua sounds like the right dog for your household, please ask about her today.
Care for these hoarding rescues is putting a severe strain on MAGSR's resources. Donations towards their treatment would be greatly appreciated, this would also help us save other dogs with medical needs.
Updates:Kucua is settling nicely into her foster home. Her foster family reports she is a sweet, happy & fun loving girl. When her foster family brought her home, she was shy, unsure of herself and wanted nothing more to do than hide in a corner - it appeared she had never been in a home before and was never shown any affection, as everything about home life seemed new to her. Since arriving, she has made a complete turn around and now she likes to follow her foster mom & dad around the house. Kucua will shower you with kisses and crawl into your lap if you let her. She is improving with her leash manners, but still needs to work on obedience commands. Kucua will really shine with a new family when she adjusts to living in a home, with patient and affectionate humans, where she does not live in fear. Kucua is a wonderful dog and would make a great family pet. If she sounds like a good fit for your family, please ask to meet her.

Updates:Aruba is a few days into her foster home and her foster family reports she is just the sweetest dog! She just wants affection and to be talked to. Aruba has excellent house manners and is starting to get the hang of pottying outside. Aruba is learning sit and down commands. She's still very unsure of herself, humans and her surroundings and is learning confidence, but currently prefers smaller crowds of people around her. If she sounds like a perfect fit for you, ask to meet her!

He is in need of training to learn leash and good manners.
Unfortunately his family is going through some unsettling times, they felt it best that Bear be surrendered so that he could find a new family. Diamond

Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.

This little girl truly is a diamond in the ruff. Sadly, Diamond previously lived in hoarding situation with 14 other dogs. She was underfed, is missing the top half of her right ear, and has several wounds across her body. Despite all of what Diamond has endured, she is an amazing girl. Affectionate with everyone she has met, Diamond warms up quickly to new people. She gives kisses and little tail wags that light up a room. Now that Diamond has a warm and loving foster home, she has the opportunity to shine. Currently living with both cats and dogs, Diamond is adjusting well to pack life and is learning that she will receive regular meals, attention, and proper socialization. If Diamond sounds like the right dog for your household, please ask about her today.

Updates: Ryder
ADOPTED 03/03/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Ryder was found abandoned in a house with a Chihuahua after their family moved away and left them behind. Ryder was underweight, but with good nutrition and regular meals he is gaining weight. He is a young boy who has had no training or guidance. He needs a family that will commit to his training, providing him with structure and direction so that he can be a well mannered boy.
Updates:Ryder loves all that he meets, especially kids, and appears to want to play with dogs he sees when out. Ryder walks nicely on a leash and knows shake. Ryder is a love bug and wants to have attention of all that are around. He would make a great addition to your family. Please ask to meet him.
Ryder is settling nicely into his foster home and doing very well. He's a very friendly dog and seems to love people and want to play with any dog he sees. Ryder is learning quickly and working on his obedience commands and is doing well at "sit", "place", and "look". If Ryder sounds like a dog that would fit well in your family, please ask to meet him.
Ash
ADOPTED 02/26/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Ash was surrendered to us through no fault of his own. He was not abused or neglected. But unfortunately, his former person was not able to handle such a large dog. He has had no formal training and will only be placed with an experienced handler. He would benefit from being in a home where he will have daily activity, exercise and structure along with obedience training. He is looking for a commitment for his lifetime....could that be you?
Gabby
ADOPTED 02/25/2017!
Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.

Sweet Gabby came to MAGSR emaciated and scared from a very sad situation. This little girl previously lived in hoarding situation with 14 other dogs where some would lose out on getting food, which we think is what happened to Gabby. She was very underfed and used for breeding. Because of all that Gabby has endured, she is so very scared and just needs to learn to trust and know she'll be well taken care of. Now that Gabby has a warm and loving foster home, she has the opportunity to shine and we hope will quickly adjust and learn that she will receive regular meals, attention, and proper socialization. Rommie
ADOPTED 02/24/2017!
Good With Kids: Unknown
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.
Will you help them by donating or volunteering?
Rommie made her to way us as a stray to a shelter. The shelter's worker said she is very sweet and did not have any accidents in her kennel. She would happily wait for them to come take her outside to go the bathroom. She is a beautiful GSD mix who is looking for a family that will love and care for her for her lifetime.
Updates:Rommie is settling nicely in to her foster home. Rommie's foster parents report she does great with the resident dogs, is a beautiful girl, very sweet and extremely loving dog who has lots of energy and loves her squeaky balls. She is so soft and so loving that she will make someone a great companion dog. In her foster home, she is working on crate training so she's ready for her new family.
Sadly, sweet Rommie tested heartworm positive when she was seen by a MAGSR vet, she obviously was not kept on monthly Heartworms Preventatives which would have protected her. She is currently undergoing heartworm treatment to rid her body of Heartworms so that she may enjoy many more years of life. Treatment is expensive but Rommie is certainly worth the cost. Donations towards her treatment would be greatly appreciated, this would also help us save other dogs with medical needs.
Rommie is waiting for her fur-ever family, so if you think she could be a good fit, please ask to meet her.

Good With Kids: Yes
I've been adopted, thanks to MAGSR but so many more dogs need their help.

Xilli along with her mate Fox were surrendered to us as their family was moving where dogs are not welcomed. They have lived together for most of their lives and we would like to find them a home together. Both are sweet, well mannered, laid back dogs. No more puppy mannerisms for these two distinguished Shepherds, they are looking for leisurely walks, hanging out with their people and enjoying the comforts of a nice bed. They lived in a home with 10 children of varying ages. They want nothing more than to have a home and family of their very own, hopefully together. If you have enough room in your hearts and home for both Fox and Xilli please ask to meet them.

This little girl is amazing and ever so sweet. Ariella previously lived in hoarding situation with 14 other dogs where she was underfed, with some past wounds and soon to be used for breeding. Despite all of what Ariella has been exposed to early on in her life, she is just stunning. Affectionate with everyone she has met, Ariella immediately warms up to new people. She gives kisses and little tail wags that light up a room. Now that Ariella has a warm and loving foster home, she has the opportunity to shine. Currently living with both kids and dogs, Ariella is adjusting well and is learning that she will receive regular meals, attention, and proper socialization. If Ariella sounds like the right dog for your household, please ask about her today.
Care for these hoarding rescues is putting a severe strain on MAGSR's resources. Donations towards their treatment would be greatly appreciated, this would also help us save other dogs with medical needs.

Shiloh was returned to us as his family is going through life altering changes and can no longer provide for him as needed. However, he was very much loved by them and he was very attached to them. Upon Shiloh's return, he showed signs of being reactive to strangers and protective of his family. He was also reactive to other dogs. However, he was very friendly, comfortable with and trusting of his family and their bond was evident. He is currently with a reputable trainer so that he can become better socialized and we will provide further updates as we get them from the trainer.

His foster parents are working with him now on taking treats nicely and he's learning manners with the kids in the home, as he can be a little mouthy and needs to learn what is acceptable. If Simba sounds like a good fit for your home, please check him out.

Tate was adopted from a shelter but his adopter found out he had more energy than she could handle. While with his adopter for a few day he did live with a Chihuahua, he was too much energy for the little guy also. He is lacking manners and will require training to help him learn all that he needs to know. He will need a family that can meet his daily exercise needs and training.
